Spoiler sections and linking images

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with embedding videos and images.

Perhaps I'm uploading to Imgur wrong? I've been using the 'image=' tab, and the 'chainlink' insert URL tab to insert these into my thread. I've been told how to use the spoiler with bracket, but when I do so it just embeds anything I link as 'image'

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Perhaps copy and paste how you guys get your images embedded (from what you input in the thread).

Image= does nothing
Use the button with the picture on it that gives img to the code (one that looks like a picture with a background)

Forgot to mention sorry. On imgur itself, there is a special link that copies just the image.
Alternatively right click the image and press "copy image link"

Image= does nothing

to clear up some confusion, this is actually a lie.

image= allows you to specify the height and width of the image you want to embed.

produces a small version of the image you were linking, for example. Like so

which is the tag vcom is trying to direct you to which looks like a portrait in the toolbar in the site's full editor is the same as image= but it uses your image's default size rather than a specific one like image=.

imgur links to pics and albums, as well as direct links to images on specific sites, will get embedded automatically by themselves.

Please note that the imgur link to the album is different from the link to the individual image itself. You'll notice that

links you to a full page where you're able to see all the pics in the album, in this case just one. Right clicking that one image and hitting "open in new tab", gets you

which will link you to a page with just your image. That second link is the one you want to use if you just want to use or link the image itself.
