Chika Igarashi vs. Valley Doll III - Hardcore Matches For Dummies

So far, so good. Almost too good, if Valerie were being honest. While she had faith in her abilities, she wasn’t the sort of person who liked to get lost in them. Inexperienced as she was, even she knew that the longer a match went on, the greater chances became for things to turn around.

And turn around they did. Valerie had been going full steam ahead with the meteora when her opponent decided to be slippery, moving out of the way just in time to avoid the impact. That resulted in her crashing against the pads instead of a soft body, a markedly less pleasant experience than she’d planned.

The impact sent a tingle through her legs, but nothing she couldn't recover from. More annoyed than anything, she rolled out of the ring and tried to grab Chika’s arm, wanting to drag her back inside to keep things going in her favor.

Chika would successfully dodge Valley's attack, but the blonde would try to both recover on the outside, and drag Chika with her, to make sure the veteran didn't have much time to recover. Valerie wanted to do too much too quickly...

...and the Raven Knight was about to teach her that doing too much too quickly in wrestling was a big mistake.

Chika would resist the blonde's pull once she got to the apron, getting back up to her feet as she took a firm hold of Valerie's arm, making sure the Japanese woman had her foe right where she wanted her.

From there, Chika would jump off, trying to wrap her legs around Valley's head in midair to toss her body towards the barricade, trying to slam her body against the thin mats outside the ring with a Hurricanrana!

Despite appearances, Valerie had not forgotten that this was a hardcore match. Far from it, in fact. The crowd was grieving her for trying to bring the match back into the ring, but as far as she was concerned, that was the best place for her to be. Between the ropes, everything came down to skill, pure and simple. While Chika was undoubtedly a storied veteran with no talent shortage, Valerie was confident she could control the woman between the ropes.

She took hold of the woman’s arm and forced her back up, eager to take the match back to her terms, when the older wrestler came back to life with an unexpected surge. Valerie’s eyes widened as the woman’s legs slipped around her head, but by that time she knew what was happening, it was far too late to stop it - she was flying, head over heels, heading straight for the barricade. She crashed into it, her lower back taking much of the force and flopped down her to her side as she dealt with the pain.

Not the end of the world, but not a position she wanted to stay in for long. She gritted her teeth and began to push her way, hoping she could get a lock on Chika before whatever was next came her way.

Chika successfully managed to counter Valerie's attempt to keep control of her in a big way. With her legs, she successfully threw her rival into the barricade, forcing her back to collide with a nearby barricade! A part of Chika was sympathetic towards the blonde...but this match was meant to be a brutal, potentially bloody contest.

Grabbing Valley Doll's head, Chika would lift the blonde up, forcing her to stand against the steel barricade...before unleashing a hard series of kicks to her rival's chest to try and weaken her!

Well, the good news was that Valerie didn’t have to wait long to figure out what was coming her way: Kicks. Lots of kicks.

Chika might have been the smaller woman here, but she had some real power in those legs of hers, and she employed it well when she unleashed a bevy of battering blows into her chest, rocking her ribs time and time again, hitting her in such quick succession that she didn’t have time to fall over or even get her hands up. Each one landed harder than the last, and soon her chest began to numb up, overwhelmed with the pain.

When it ended - if it ended - Valerie would fall to her knees and cradle her aching chest, seething with the pain.

Each of Chika's strikes was punctuated with a "Whoa!" from the crowd, be that at them hearing the bone-on-bone collision, or from sympathy towards the blonde at the veteran viciously beating down the blonde. With Valerie left breathless and hurting by Chika's attacks, the Joshi Veteran wasn't going to let up on her attacks, as she grabbed her rival's head before wrapping her hand around it. Grabbing her rival's white leotard, Chika would lift Valley Doll up into the air...before aiming to drop her chest first onto the barricade with a Suplex Slam!

Valerie needed to get back into the ring. Now.

That was becoming more and more apparent with ease passing second as Chika continued to tear her apart at ringside, erasing all the gains she’d made in the ring and exposing her biggest faults. This wasn’t her area, but it was her opponents, and she was showing it more and with each passing moment.

She attempted to slide way back in after taking that barrage of kicks, but Chika snagged her before she had a chance and pulled her into what looked like the beginnings of a suplex. Valerie initially doubted it, thinking the woman couldn't do it.

Then she did it.

Valerie went up, over, and down, hitting the floor with a sickening splat, right on her back. She rolled over to her chest and hissed as the pain ran its course, then started to slowly push her way, rising up to her wobbling knees.

As brutal as Chika was being to a much less experienced woman than her, her offense shone on the outside. She had experience fighting brutal battles in and out of the ring, and it seemed Valley Doll couldn't take as much heat outside, even if her skills in the ring were already quite solid.

Upon slamming the blonde stomach first onto the barricade, Chika would grab her by her head and hip, guiding her to the ring to roll her back inside, while she herself climbed up the ring...and then the top rope:

"<Let's go!!!>" the Raven Knight would point upwards, the crowd cheering as Chika waited for Valley to rise to her full height...

...before jumping and spinning on the spot on the turnbuckle, before jumping, aiming her body for Valley Doll for a graceful Moonsault attack!

Valerie was still getting her bearings when Chika moved in, eager to continue her assault, and she braced herself for more pain to come. Even though they’d only been out of the ring for a little while, it was clear who had the advantage out of her - the veteran was too skilled in hardcore wrestling for a neophyte like her to hold her own with it.

So she was more than a little happy when Chika’s next move was to bring her back into the ring, putting her in a position where she was vastly more comfortable. That didn’t mean she was out of the woods yet, however, as the crowd’s rising noise told her. Her opponent was already preparing for another attack.

She looked up in time to see Chika flying her way, soaring through the air with the greatest of ease. Dodging wasn’t an option, she wasn’t fast enough at this range, but that didn’t mean she had no refuge.

Valerie planted her feet, braced her body, and caught the woman on her shoulder as she came down. The momentum was enough to make her stumble away, but she righted herself fast enough and regained a solid footing, carrying Chika like a sack of potatoes.

It was only for a moment - in the next, Valerie surged forward, whipped her foe downward, and attempted to bring her crashing into the mat with a running powerslam.

It was one thing to have a crash landing from a high-risk manuever. The mistake on the person executing the move was clear - the opponent wasn't beat up enough, or they played possum too well for Chika to guess.

But a much, much rarer situation was one where opponent proved themselves very capable on capitalizing on a high-flying manuever...that being when they managed to catch Chika out of her attack! The Raven Knight definitely underestimated her rival's strength, her eyes shooting wide open as she realized what Valley Doll managed to pull off!

A second later, the blonde would firmly shift the momentum in her favor, rushing towards the center of the ring, and slamming Chika into the canvas with a Running Powerslam!

"GUAAAAAARGH!!!" Chika would let out, drowned out by the crowd's massive cheers towards the counter from the blonde!
