Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Note: First part done via IM with Noob
A week after the We Are LAW PPV , and her match against Helena Dubois (and a lot of other headache involved in the event with Navi), Melody had a match against a woman...who, quite frankly, had a much more important match at the same card. When she read that she was going to face one of the 2 women who qualified for the final 2 spots for the LAW Middleweight Title, the greenette believed that someone was pranking her...a phone call later proved that it wasn't.
The match had no extra stipulations. It was simply an exhibition match between the 2 women. A woman who could've been the LAW Middleweight Champion or not, Melody was looking to win this, even if her life outside of wrestling was occupied with her best friend causing massive problems throughout the company. If she could secure the win tonight, and forget about Navi for today, she would consider today's match a job well done.
A few minutes later, her theme would start playing on the speakers throughout the LAW Arena...and very shortly after, she would appear on the entrance ramp to the cheers from the fans. She would make her way down the entrance ramp, trying to high-fives as many people in front row as she could, even doing a loop around the ring, before climbing in, and taking one bow at the critical part of her song, before everything quited down...and everyone in the arena, including Melody herself, who took her place at the corner to the left of the ref, awaited the arrival of Erin Quinn.
==================================
It was a week after her appearance in the middleweight finals and this was to be Erin's first match after her loss. While she usually had little issue with nerves, today felt different. The redhead just wasn't feeling the confidence that she had once been very accustomed to. Sure she knew that nothing had actually changed. The woman was no stranger to someone getting the best of her either. But for whatever reason something just felt off today.
Hearing her name announced and her music start to play, Erin ran out from backstage and waved to the crowd and tried to shake whatever she was feeling. Whatever had happened was in the past and today she was going to put on a show and return to her winning form. The Irish brawler climbed into the ring and looked her opponent up and down. "Hmmm...so I'mma be kicking your butt today?" She teased in an attempt to get back to her normal routine
==================================
As Erin soon came out to her theme song, full of energy wearing a big smile on her face, Melody would already have her game face on. As Erin made her way down the ramp, she remembered her previous encounter against the woman...one where she chose to lose due to the way the match originally ended. Melody told herself, as Erin rolled into the ring, that this was also to prove to herself that, at 100 percent, at little chance of interference in the match, she was the better woman of the two of them. She would chuckle at Erin's taunt: "Don't forget, I had you on the ropes the last time. This could easily turn out the same way tonight", she would answer, as the ref would ask the two women to take their place at their respective corners... And shortly after that...
DING!
The match would officially begin, with both women carefully circling the ring...as opposed to previously, where Melody tried to hit her finisher on Erin right out of the gate...a tactic that didn't work properly the last time, and absolutely wouldn't work tonight. Instead, the greenette would slowly close the gap between herself and Erin, before attempting to land the first attack of the match with a kick to the side of Erin's torso!
==================================
"Keep talking about the past and I'm gonna knock ya back there!" Were the first words out of Erin's mouth. The redhead was eager to move on from previous events. While there was certainly thing to learn from a few mistakes she had made in earlier matches, she didn't want to dwell on things for too long. Now reminded of her previous matches though, Erin did find some cause for concern. The more she thought about it the more she wondered how she'd make some of the same mistakes again. The redhead was not after all the quickest learner.
As the match started Erin watched Melody circle her. While she always liked making the first move of the match, the quicker Melody would be doing that tonight. Her foe's kick hit her right in the torso, causing the Irish brawler to wince and stumble two steps to the side. Sure the kick hurt, but Erin was nothing if not resilient. If given a moment she would retaliate with a strong strike herself. Unlike Melody however she opted for a punch aimed for her foe's stomach instead.
==================================
Her kick finding it's mark, Melody quickly pulled her leg back, satisfied with the impact of her attack. She prepared her first, planning to follow up on the attack with a hard uppercut to her rival's jaw...
...only for Erin to quickly attack herself, ramming her fist into Melody's stomach!
"GAH!", she let out, taking a step back as she covered her hurt stomach, trying to not double over, needing to have the Irishwoman fully in her sight for her next attack!
==================================
Erin only grinned as she saw the result of her retaliation. If all of their exchanges were going to end up like that then Erin would gladly exchange blows with her opponent. The match would be over in no time and she'd leave with the win. Of course she didn't expect the match to go that easy though. Melody was a serious opponent and therefore Erin couldn't afford to assume things would be going her way forever.
With Melody staggering from the hit, Erin would try to push her luck and go in for something else. She would aim to grab her foe's arm and roughly toss her to the ropes on the other side of the ring. If she managed to get her opponent going then she'd follow not to far behind, ready to jump up and drive her feet into Melody's stomach right after she rebounded off of the ropes.
==================================
With Erin seizing the initiative of the match, Melody tried to prepare for the Irishwoman's next attack, anticipating a strike from the redhead...
...only for her opponent to grab a firm hold of her arm, before Irish Whipping her into the nearby set of ropes! Approaching them, she spun around, preparing to collide with her back, and, on her runback, potentially Hurricanrana Erin!
...if it were not for the fact that Erin would herself jump at her, aiming her feet for Melody's stomach for a hard dropkick!
"GUUUUUUH!"
The impact caused Melody to drop through the top and middle rope...but, avoiding dropping all the way to the ringside, she would grasp the middle rope to catch herself from falling down!
==================================
Erin was more than happy to connect with her hit. She was expecting her opponent to crumble to the floor but Melody did a good job catching herself against the ropes. Now on the ground while Melody was standing, she realized she was in a bit of an awkward position. Luckily her opponent seemed to still be reeling from the hit.
Slowly pushing herself up, Erin was hoping Melody would stay still for just a bit longer. She wanted to rise to her feet and land another hard strike. If she just kept on pummeling the woman then a win was sure to follow close behind. If Melody hadn't moved then Erin would wind up and aim a hard punch towards the woman's stomach, looking to just beat down her opponent.
==================================
Catching her breath at the ropes, Melody saw Erin rise up to her feet. She knew the woman wouldn't let her rest for long...and, sure enough, would quickly approach the greenette, her hand balled into a fist. She had to think quickly...and time her moment just right...
Right as Erin launched her fist for Melody's stomach, the Brit would be already gone...as she would be standing up on the top rope! Instead of jumping, she dropped forward, getting behind Erin in an upside down position. Dropping face up onto the canvas, Melody grabbed at the Irishwoman's ankles, attempting to get her into a quick, Sunset Flip, pin!
==================================
Erin wasn't the fastest wrestler out there but it still surprised her whenever her punch missed. The woman was confused as Melody opted to just make her way behind her. She figured the woman would have tried to land a hit on her while she had a golden opportunity. Clearly something was off.
Soon though the brawler understood that there was a method to her foe's madness. "Waaaah!" She yelped as she was taken down and rolled up into a pin. The redhead just looked up in shock, clearly unable to figure out what just happened. It wasn't until she heard the referee start to count that she began to resume the fight. "Hey! Ugh no way in hell!" Erin yelled as she tried to kick out when the referee announced "TWO"
==================================
Crying out in disbelief, Erin would quickly kick out of Melody's Sunset Flip at 2, the greenette rolling to the side upon the kick out, smirking to herself over the surprising pinfall, that were slowly becoming an irreplaceable part of her arsenal.
Not content with waiting for Erin to get to her feet, the greenette would once again get to the ropes. With the top rope in both her hands, she jumped onto the middle rope, before bouncing off of it, gracefully backflipping in midair, aiming her frame at the lying Erin for a Springboard Moonsault!
==================================
"Haaah! Not going down THAT easy!"Erin roared as she threw Melody off of her. A loss was one thing but the redhead was not going to make it easy for anyone. She quickly rolled over onto her front and pushed up onto all fours. Her opponent seemed quick and full of energy so staying down for too long was clearly not a good idea for her.
Erin's feelings were confirmed as she was Melody going for another highflying move. The woman had made her way to the ropes and by the time Erin saw her she had already jumped. Already too late to try and think of a counter, Erin would try to just roll out of the way as quickly as possible. Sure it wasn't terribly graceful but neither was she.
==================================
In recent times, Melody had been pushing her luck, going earlier and earlier for her favorite Springboard Moonsault on her opponent's to maximize the effectiveness of the move, dealing major damage to her opponent's with how strong the move was, with the reward for the risk of the move being countered paying off in her mind.
Problem for the greenette was, she had quite a bad luck.
And that proved true today as well, as she landed, bare belly, ribs and chest first, on the ring canvas, Erin rolling away at just the right moment!
"AAGH!" she shouted in pain, rolling onto her back, wincing in pain, but still attempting to sit up and stand to her feet, before Erin did so first!
==================================
Erin managed to dodge and heard her opponent crashing down to the mat beside her. "Hah, take that. Good 'ol fashioned Erin beat down." The redhead teased. She knew full well the pain wasn't her doing, but she'd fix that soon enough. Scrambling to her feet Erin would try to think of a plan to capitalize on Melody's big mistake. Not quite one for thinking though she'd decide to go with something a bit more simple.
Grabbing Melody by the shoulders Erin would try and pick her up to her feet before wrapping her arms around the woman's waist. Trying to make good on her strength advantage she would attempt to squeeze the life out of Melody in a tight bearhug, pulling their bodies hard together. She had other plans for the woman but for now a good squeeze would do just fine.
==================================
With her failed Moonsault, it was obvious that Melody wouldn't get to her feet before Erin would, the Irishwoman quickly picking the greenette by her shoulders to capitalize on her foe's failed attack!
And what her redheaded rival had in mind...scared the greenette slight, as she felt Erin's arms wrapping around her waist:
"Oh crap...CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Her least favorite hold wasn't the Boston Crab, or Romero Hold, or her friends STF, or anything like that. Her least favorite hold was the classic Bearhug, as any opponent of her's, be they man or woman, who were much stronger than she was, usually did this move on her, squeezing the holy life out of her, while simultaneously trying to snap her poor spine in half!
Gritting her teeth, she unleashed a series of hard forearms to the Irishwoman's back, to force her to let her go off the hold...and when that failed, attempted to land an elbow to the side of Erin's head!
==================================
Erin grinned as she tightened her grip on Melody. "What? Don't like a good hug?" The redhead teased as she attempted to just crush her opponent. Erin figured it wouldn't be too hard to turn her foe into mush, especially after Melody's strikes failed to cause much more than a bit of discomfort. As the moments went by she'd only squeeze tighter and really dig her arms into her foe's sides.
Finally though Erin was met with a deterrent. "Gaahh damn oww! Enough with that!" She yelled after receiving a swift elbow to the head. The hit had rattled her enough to release her grasp on the greenette. The brawler would quickly try to shove Melody away before the woman hit her on the head again. The last thing Erin needed was another whack to the head, having received plenty over the years.
==================================
"Uggggh..." Melody let out, once Erin released her from her powerful grip. Her back still hurt like hell, and the pain was taking a while to disappear...
However, Erin was still reeling from her strikes to her head. This was a perfect opprotunity, she thought:
"Not quite yet!", she would respond to the red head, rotating her right leg for a hard Roundhouse Kick to the woman's head!
==================================
Melody was fast, there was no denying that. The woman would barely give Erin time to recover before coming back at her with another move. Still feeling some of the effect of an elbow to the head, Erin wasn't able to move herself out of the way fast enough. She certainly tried, managing to bring an arm up to block the kick. That however would only lessen the blow as Melody's strong kick still connected with the redhead.
"Gaaaah!" Erin yelped before stumbling to the side and finally crashing down to the Mat. Now laying on her side she'd grab her head. The kick had left her with a painful headache that would definitely take more than just a moment to shake off. Slowly Erin would roll onto her front and try to reach for the ropes, not to pull herself up yet but just to keep the room from spinning.
==================================
Although her kick didn't fully connect with Erin's head, she could tell that her opponent has felt the impact, as the Irishwoman stumbled and dropped to the canvas, completely dazed from the greenette's kick.
She would see Erin reach for the ropes, trying to get herself off the canvas and up to her feet...and it would be something Melody wouldn't allow her foe to do.
Grabbing Erin's left foot, she would forcibly draaag the woman away from the ropes into the middle of the ring, promptly trapping her leg in an Ankle Lock!
==================================
Erin didn't quite appreciate the hit to the head and was still reeling from the impact as Melody grabbed her and started dragging her away from the ropes. Unprepared Erin gasped as she fell onto her stomach and was pulled a foot or two away from safety. That was the least of her problems though.
Suddenly the redhead felt her ankle being twisted. The woman's eyes widened as she was jolted back to reality by an intense surge of pain. "Haaah! No! Damn it!" Erin squealed at first before just yelling and slamming her fist on the mat. She tried hard not to let out a string of expletives but that task became harder with each passing moment.
Determined not to let the match end Erin would try to push herself up before bringing her free leg back and aiming a swift kick back to her opponent's knee. She just wanted some distraction to let her pull herself back towards the ropes
==================================
Ankle Lock was a powerful submission move, but the greenette wasn't a specialist when it came to holds. Her aim right now wasn't to make Erin tap out, but to work her leg over for one of her more powerful leg based holds in her arsenal...as well as impacting the redheads dexterity.
However, Erin's cries of agony made her feel optimistic...could she possibly tap the woman out here and now?
"...AAAAH!"
Catching her in the middle of her thought, Erin would deliver a hard kick to Melody's knee, forcing the greenette to release her hold, falling right onto her hurt knee!
Hissing in pain, Melody attempted to get back up quickly, before Erin would follow up on her counter!
==================================
Erin landed a quick hit to her opponent's knee and managed to quickly scramble away. She had already seen how dangerous it could be to give her opponent time. She wasted no time rising back to her feet and readying herself for her next move. Thinking back for a moment, Erin was quite satisfied with her maneuver and proud of her quickish thinking. Moreso she was just glad that her ankle hadn't taken too much damage. Sure it felt a little sore but she could still plant herself firm on her feet.
Not letting herself get comfortable, Erin decided to just charge right back into things. Lunging forward at the rising Melody, Erin raised her arm and would attempt to level her green haired foe with a well placed lariat. It wasn't quite as graceful or swift as Melody's earlier kick, but if it landed it would get the job done just as well and that was all that mattered in the end.
==================================
Hissing in pain, Melody tried to get back up to her feet, before Erin had properly recovered after her Ankle Lock...but the Irishwoman was tougher than she thought.
By the time Erin stood up from her hurt knee, Erin was already prepared for her, rushing at Melody with an outstretched arm with a hard Lariat!
"AAAGH!"
Letting out a scream of pain as Erin's forearm harshly collided with her head, Melody easily dropped to the canvas in pain!

==================================

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Erin just about ran through her opponent, her arm satisfyingly slamming into Melody. Her excitement was hampered though by a sharp pain in her ankle. With a grimace. Another two steps brought her to the ropes. She'd lean against them and rotate her foot quickly, trying to alleviate a bit of the pain. It appeared she should have waited a few seconds after the hold to start charging again. Learning her lesson, Erin wasn't in a hurry to approach her foe. Luckily the greenette wasn't terribly far away so there was no rush. Sure she gave the woman a bit more time than she wanted to but as long as it wasn't enough, it really didn't matter.
"Alright. Time to get up. Still your turn for some pain." Erin teased. She went to grab Melody by the shoulders and lift her to her knees. Erin's plan was to put her foe's head between her legs and prop her up. From there she intended to lift Melody high into the air and if all went well slam her down with a nice hard powerbomb that was becoming a signature of hers. First things first though, she had to get Melody in position. After her latest match it was obvious that she couldn't be too confident. A small mistake had cost her before and the thought of the same happening again was still pestering the redhead.

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Grabbing at her hurt face, Melody tried to sat up as soon as she could, letting out a long groan as she did so...and taking much longer than she anticipated. As she opened her eyes, she saw the Irishwoman nursing her hurt ankle after her run. She smirked, as her submission game did do good damage to Erin after all...
But, when the Irish Powerhouse started coming towards her, with a threat in tow, she panicked. She attempted to drag herself from a seat to a standing position, only to be quickly caught by the redhead, and having her head trapped between the woman's thighs. Still not fully recovering from Erin's Lariat, Melody was hardly in shape to counter what Erin had in mind:
"AAAAAAAGH!", she cried in agony at the spine shattering impact, as her back harshly collided with the canvas from Erin's Powerbomb!

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Ignoring the nagging pain in her leg, Erin lifted Melody up and into the air. She held the woman for a second before slamming her down hard onto the mat. The impact echoed through the room but was quickly drowned out by the cheers of the crowd. The redhead brushed a few strands of hair out of her face as she stood there smiling for any cameras and just taking a few moments relish the audience's reaction. Confident in her strength, she didn't expect Melody to be getting up very soon anyway.
Of course it was soon back to business for the Irish lass. Turning back to her green haired opponent she would try and make sure the woman was on her back before going in for a pin. Erin laid across Melody and hooked an arm under her leg. "Let's see ya try and get up from that." Erin commented, practically challenging her opponent to try. She then quickly turned her head to watch as the referee came over and started the count.

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Taking Powerbombs sucked, Melody concluded early after her training begun. Your spine feels like it's been shattered in multiple places, and since spine controlled the entire body, everything felt like it was hurting. Throughout all the years of the move's use, there was a reason why it was still used as a game-changer in a match...if not an outright finisher by quite a number of people.
Kicking out was also difficult because of that, so it wasn't helping that Erin would swiftly try and cover the greenette for the 3:
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THR-----NO!"
But, one still needed to take a lot of Melody to put her down for the count. And to show that, she would harshly push her body (and by extension, Erin) up with her untrapped leg and arms, ref stopping the count right before her hand reached the canvas!

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
After landing a powerful move, Erin was sure she had her opponent beat. In fact she was very nearly correct in her assumption. Happy to hear the referee count, Erin couldn't wait until the count was finished. The redhead would have to wait a bit longer however. Just before the final count, she was shoved off by the resilient greenette. "Ugh! Damn it...stay down will ya!" The Irish wrestler grumbled, clearly ticked off. After her previous loss, she had been looking for a quick win here.
Erin soon got up to her knees and looked down at Melody with a furrowed brow. If her foe wasn't going to stay down, then Erin would just have to beat her down further. The redhead pulled her fist back and aimed a quick jab at the other woman's abs. If the wind wasn't knocked out of Melody already, Erin intended to make sure that she would be soon enough. It was her bread and butter after all since she was no expert at submissions.

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Breathing heavily after the kick out, Melody realized quickly that she didn't have any sort of plan upon escaping the pin! And the angry Irishwoman would be onto her quick, delivering a hard punch to her gut!
"GUAAAH!", she would scream, before wheezing the air out of her lungs. Immediately after the attack, she turned on her hurt stomach, trying to cover her hurt torso, and get the flow of oxygen back into her body!

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
After driving her fist into Melody, Erin stopped to think for a moment. Her opponent wasn't the only one without much of a plan. "Alright. I gotta put you down for good." She commented. It was more to herself than to Melody but she didn't mind her opponent knowing her intentions. It wasn't like there were many complicated thoughts going through the redhead's mind at the moment. She just needed to keep up the offense with another hard hitting move.
Erin grabbed her foe's arm and started to drag the woman to her feet. "Got it. This'll make you wish you stayed down." She said with a grin. From behind Erin would then attempt to wrap one arm around the greenette's waist and hook the other under her leg before lifting Melody into the air. before letting Melody fall down onto her knee. Her plan was to quickly let Melody fall only to be greeted with a knee between her legs, hoping an atomic drop would give the woman quite a jolt and get a nice reaction from the crowd.

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
"Ghhhhk...", Melody let out, as Erin dragged her back up to her feet. Erin's grin certainly wasn't a good sign for the greenette by any stretch of the imagination.
Upon being up, Erin wouldn't let her go, and would rather lift her up into the air a fair bit, before bringing her crashing down, tailbone first, onto her knee!
She cringed at the jolt of pain to her spine, putting her arm to the small of her back, taking a step away from Erin...
...before backflipping from her position, and attempting to nail the Irish redhead with a Pele Kick!

Re: Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn
Erin got a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd but it mattered little to her. At the moment she was more focused on getting a win then gaining cheers. She couldn't help but laugh a bit after Melody took a step away. "Gonna stay down now? Or do ya want some more?" The redhead teased. After gathering a bit of momentum she could feel her confidence starting to build again. Enough to get her talking again anyway.
"I've got plenty more for ya if...gaaaah!" Erin started but was soon interrupted by a flying foot hitting the side of her head. It certainly wasn't the first time she had taken a blow to the head but she found it never to easier. The blow sent Erin tumbling towards the ground. She caught herself on all fours before placing her hands on the side of her head. After taking a moment and shaking her head the woman finally let out a groan. "Ugh...bitch." was all she could manage to get out.
