Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior

LAW Middleweight Champion.

Even though it wasn't "The World Championship" LAW would introduce in the coming years, the possibility of being called the best of her division filled Melody with excitement as she got ready for her qualifying match. Although she looked and fantasized ahead, she wasn't getting ahead of herself. The road to the title was filled with obstacles in her way in form of women just as talanted, some more experienced than her. Despite that, at the moment, she was truly afraid of facing one girl who would also be in the tournament - her best friend.

But once again, before all that, she had to get into the tournament in the first place. And in order to do that, she would have to best "The Perfect Woman" Yamato Nadeshiko. She hoped the title was just for show, otherwise, with the nickname like that, she expected someone with way worse character than Helena Dubois.

Calming her nerves, Melody finished putting on her attire, and made her way towards the gorilla position...

Dressed in her usual jacket and racer pants, she made her way down the ramp to her theme song, clapping hands with as many LAW fans as possible, before getting into the ring, and bowing to the crowd in the middle of it. As the music died down, she was so overwhelmed with excitement, she couldn't help but shout:

"I AM GOING TO BE THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION!", with a grin on her face. The crowd showed her appreciation for that much energy, giving her a massive cheer, as ref asked her to get to her corner. She would obey the stripped shirted woman, and get to her corner to get undressed, taking off her jacket and shirt to reveal a green sports bra. From there, she would simply stretch her arms and legs as she waited for Yamato to come down the ramp.

The Japanese native waited backstage with a cool and collected aura about her. Her opponent tonight was excited to pursue this opportunity at the LAW Middleweight Championship Belt. Everyone who dared enter themselves in the qualifiers was. Even beyond the chance to call oneself the greatest among the middleweights of LAW, there was the fact that there could only ever be one inaugural champ. And in the mind of Yamato, there was no more perfect way to begin one's career by debuting in a championship tourney and immediately establishing herself and beginning a legacy at LAW.

With these thoughts on her mind, she patiently awaited backstage for crowd reaction to her opponent to simmer down a bit before her own theme song began on blare throughout the stadium. Yamato would enter the arena with her arms spread wide before bringing them to her hips. She already had a decent following in Japan. Many knew her as Mika's tag partner in other promotions in the country. Being on home turf donned in an attire that paid homage to her homeland helped her gain popularity from practically the same day she started wrestling. Applause rained down as she began to hit a graceful and casual stride on her way to the ring.



"Making her way to the ring for her debut match up in the L-A-W Middleweight Qualifiers!! The Perfect Woooomaaaan, Yamato! Nadeshiiiiiiiikoooo!"

The cheers would grow more voluminous as her name was announced. Yamato would slide under the bottom rope and make her way into the ring. She would only look to her opponent and acknowledge her after climbing the turnbuckle and waving to the crowd.

"Melody, right? You may be the Serperior woman. But no matter how hard you try, you can't beat perfection...." Yamato said while resting a hand on her hip, wearing an almost cheesy smile. "There's tons of women in the running for the Middleweight gold. But only one among them is literally flawless."

Melody eyed Yamato as she came out and climbed the ring, listening to the overwhelmingly positive crowd reaction towards the Japanese native, as well as to the woman's claim for the title as well. Melody fired a smirk back at her opponent. Her fears were unfounded, with the worst part about Yamato being her overconfindence. And she would be all the more happy to prove her opponent wrong on her statement.

Walking towards the middle of the ring, with her arm outstretched for a handshake, Melody would say: "So you don't believe that it's possible to be better than perfect? Let's put that claim to the test, Yamato"

Yamato was happy to see that her opponent for tonight was unperturbed by the crowd reaction or her boastful words. She raised an eyebrow as Melody approached her with her arm out. Nadeshiko would eye the green haired girl up and down for a second before grasping her hand firmly and pulling her close.

"Oh, we will." She retorted.

With that, the black haired woman would make her way back to her corner. She'd place each hand on the top ropes to her left and right and stand with a posture that exuded the same reassurance and confidence that she had been exuding from the moment she entered the arena. At the sound of the bell, Yamato would casually walk towards her foe before assuming a stance and circling the ring with her opponent.

"Show me. Show me what you think can surpass perfection."

Melody would continue looking at Yamato with the fire in her eyes as her opponent pulled her in closer. Her mission was clear: she had to be superior to the Perfect Woman to beat her and continue on into the brackets of the tourney.

As Yamato let her go, Melody would get back into her corner, before hearing the bell 10 seconds later. Circling the middle of the ring with Yamato, the green-ette would accept her opponent's challange, getting closer to her, and launching a stiff punch to her stomach!

If successful, Melody would immidiately try to continue her combo with a jab to Yamato's jaw!

Yamato had goaded her opponent into taking an initiative. Melody would prove that she had every intention of backing up her words by stepping in close and hitting the Japanese native in the abdomen with a decisive blow that made her double over!

"Ooof!" Yamato groaned as the punch hit it's mark and she bent forwards. Melody would be quick to follow up the punch with another one! This time another quick punch aimed at her mouth! Nadeshiko would be sent reeling and staggering towards a nearby corner of the squared circle. She'd place her back against the corner and hold onto one of the ropes. When Serperior drew near, she'd place her hands on her opponent's shoulders and attempt to swap places with her in the corner before attempting to hit her with a stiff chopped aimed at her upper chest area, right above her green sports bra!

Melody smirked as her combo worked, both of her fists finding their respective marks, sending Yamato reeling towards the ropes as a result. For a "Perfect Woman", she sure didn't start it as stellarly as she should've...

...that is, until Melody got closer to Yamato while she waited for her to exit the ropes, as the Japanese native would grab the greenette's shoulders, pulling her towards the ropes to swap places with her! Trying to escape out of the trap immidiately, Melody was only ensnared further in, as her foe delivered a hard chop to her chest!

"Gaaah!", Melody screamed, while the crowd wooed Yamato's move. Although Melody wanted to fight back, she knew she wouldn't be able to mount anything of value against Yamato's attacks. However, the ref approached the two women to stand between them, to allow Melody a moment to recover and stand away from the ropes, the only factor remaining to allow that being Yamato herself...

Despite the opening strikes of the match being made at the Japanese Native's expense, Yamato was able to find herself turning things around. After quickly switching places with her green haired foe and getting her in the corner, she ensured Melody would stay a few second by hitting her with a stiff chop. Yamato would adjust her hair and catch the referee in her peripheral vision. It was clear that the official was en route to break them up. With this in mind, she'd reach for Melody's arm and press her slightly larger frame against her opponent's.

"Try to keep up, alright?" Yamato would say before trying to place her other hand on Melody's should and Irish Whip her across the ring in the direction of the other corner.

If successful in doing this, Yamato would waste no time in following up by running towards her foe, even before she made contact with the corner. She attempting to trap the green-ette in the corner of the ring opposite from the one they were currently at with a running knee aimed to the midsection! Yamato would remain the corner with Melody after hitting the move, this would be done in an effort to keep Melody standing so that Yamato could attempt a follow up she had in mind.

With Melody still recovering from her chop, she couldn't do anything but follow her opponent's will. And in this case, that meant being launched into a corner of the ring.

Meeting the turnbuckle back first, Melody would try to get away from her current position before her opponent got to her...but she was too late, as Nadeshiko's knee found her mark, and met Melody's stomach with a harsh collision.

"GUUUH!"

Desprately trying not to fall off of her feet due to the impact, she held her hurt belly as she glared at her opponent, and tried to deliver a swift chop to Nadeshiko's chest as the woman would step back after delivering her hit!

Yamato was able to meet her opponent head on in the corner and sink the fabric of her kneepad firmly into her abs. After landing the strike, Yamato flashed a smile to the crowd the raised her hand to signal that she had things in control. The Perfect Woman began to step back to attempt another move. But just as she did, Melody ensured she wouldn't have her way just yet by lashing out with at her with a stiff chop that whipped horizontally across her sternum! The blow caused Nadeshiko to fall back a step or two while holding the sensitive area of her chest that was just struck.

"Itai! Itai! Itai!"

The audience cheered as this bout continued to go back and forth. With neither woman looking to be in definitive control of the match, Yamato's debut was looking a little less spectacular than she had hoped. She frowned slightly in frustration but held onto the notion that it she could still have a perfect debut match. After recovering from the chop, she'd angrily rush towards Melody in the corner and attempt to nail her with a running forearm at point blank range. Should her blow connect, she'd follow up by placing both hands on the green haired woman's head and jump up while attempting to place her feet on Melody's abs or thighs. If successful, Yamato would lean back and try to send her foe flying away form the corner with a Monkey Flip!
