Yuki Shimoda (d) vs Eleanor Moonlight - Snowfall in June

Unread post by Vc0m »

Standard Match
Winning Conditions: Pinfall, Submission, KO, Count Out, DQ

It's been a few days since Yuki completely moved to Tokyo. LAW's advance paycheck was more than enough to find herself a decent place in the city, making it easier for her to get to the weekly and house shows alike. But once she said goodbye to her parents as she rode with the final suitcases, once she arrived and unpacked the final things she brought to her flat...she almost wanted to cry.

"This is silly..." Yuki told herself, rubbing her eyes.

She was going to miss Spirit. The company took her in, trained her, and helped her any way they could, even in her most difficult moments, even when she didn't feel like she deserved it. Even if there was a difficult period, that was her home which allowed her to be who she wanted to be, practicing her favourite thing in the world.

But ultimately, she wanted to go higher. Money was one thing, but LAW had the best competition in the world at the moment. Several names she wanted to fight...several names she wanted to defeat!

And now, waiting for her match in the locker room, her journey through her new company was about to begin. Her first match seemed to be easy on paper, with her foe only having 2 losses to her name, but Yuki never underestimated an opponent in her life, and this wasnt changing in LAW.
Entrance Attire

Entrance Theme
Lights focused on the entrance ramp of the stage, as what appeared to be snow fell onto the stage, a cloaked hooded figure approaching from the shadows. Between the snow, and the winter imagery on the titantron, it almost gave a feeling of actual winter at the start of the summer.

Once on top of the ramp, Yuki pulled her hood off, revealing the blonde beauty underneath, as she coldly, proudly, made her way down the ramp, the snow still falling down. Naturally, the crowd had a reaction of mild hesitance. LAW audience was a wild mix of tourists and native Japanese audience. Sure, there were cheers from people who recognized her from her Spirit days...but for the moment, she was a complete unknown to LAW.

After making her way to the ring, Yuki would pull herself up on the ramp, taking a look at the 1000s of people in the crowd tonight...and with a dissmissive: "Hmph..." would turn away from them, wiping her boots on the ring apron, and entering the ring. There, she threw her cloak at the ref, who caught it in time, looking displeased at having to collect the wrestlers attire for them, while Yuki finished her entrance with one final pose for the fans.

With her entrance done, Yuki would get to her assigned corner of the ring, the ref giving her cloak to the outside, while the Winter Empress did her final stretches before the match...

Eleanor had taken a few weeks off after her second defeat. While it wasn’t the start she had hoped for when joining LAW, she couldn't complain, both of her matches had been against seasoned veterans. In her eagerness to prove herself, she had overestimated her own level, but she found comfort in knowing that, despite the losses, she had delivered respectable performances. The fans were starting to talk about her. She might have lost those matches, but she was far from being a loser.

When the offer came to face off against a debuting wrestler, Eleanor felt a rush of excitement. She didn’t know much about her opponent, but the idea of squaring off against someone fresh in the promotion thrilled her. It didn’t take long for her to accept, sign the contract, and throw herself into training for the match.

On the day of the fight, Eleanor was in the locker room, headphones in, letting the music calm her nerves. The anxiety she once felt before matches had faded, now it was pure excitement. Show time was drawing near.

Waiting behind the curtain, she stood still until her entrance music hit.

The crowd gave her a warm welcome as she raised her arms to greet them with a smile. Eleanor was happy to be back in the arena, to feel the electric energy from the fans...the cheers, the passion, the hunger for battle. This was why she fought. Dashing down the ramp, she first high-fived the fans to the right, then to the left, before sprinting toward the ring with a final burst of energy. She jumped onto the apron and slid in just as fireworks exploded behind her in a dazzling display.

-"...and her opponent, standing at a height of five, one inch and weighing in at one hundred and twenty five pounds, from Manchester, England ...ELEANOR MOONLIGHT!!!!"-echoed throughout the arena.

After that Eleanor approached Yuki with a friendly smile, extended her hand in a sportsmanlike gesture.

-Let’s have fun in our match.

With her entrance done, Yuki awaited her opponent with her game face on. Eleanor recieved a warm welcome from the LAW audience, proving that despite her losses in the company so far, she managed to endear herself to the fans...

...making it clear that Yuki was going to be the villainess tonight.

As Eleanor finished her entrance, and final preparations by presentation before the match began were being done, the British woman's stepped forward with an outstretched hand for the sake of sportsmanship!

Yuki would approach Eleanor, looking at her hand...

Before promptly smacking it away with the back of her hand!

"Keep your filthy hands and ideas of fun to yourself, worm..." Yuki would say with a cold tone, turning her back at Eleanor to go back to her corner to await the start of the match, the crowd peering Yuki for her disrespectful gesture and words...

Eleanor’s hand flew back from the impact. Letting out a quiet sigh, she turned around and headed back to her corner. It was clear she'd have to endure her opponent’s offense carefully, someone with that kind of strength and attitude could be dangerous. For now, it was still unclear whether her rival would fight with discipline or be led by emotion.

The bell rang, signaling the start of the match.

Eleanor immediately shifted her stance, legs apart, arms slightly raised as she advanced with short dashes. This approach allowed her to avoid a heavy fall if Yuki decided to go for a sudden charge, and at the same time, it subtly invited her opponent to make the first move. Eleanor told herself this was the best way to "open" a match, but deep down, she knew she hadn't fully overcome her uncertainty. What she called strategy might just look like hesitation or weakness to her rival.

It was mean, but Yuki had to sell herself the best she could that in the ring, she stood alone...and would make damn sure she stood superior over her opponents, no matter who they were.

With Eleanor disappointed by Yuki's words and display, she would step back to her corner, the ref ensuring both competitors were ready...and signalling for the bell!

DING DING DING!

Yuki would dart to the side and forward, careful in case her words agitated Eleanor...even though her opponent would kep to the defensive, slowly moving forward as she awaited Yuki to make the first move.

Carefully approaching her rival, the Winter Empress would try to grapple with her foe to seemingly engage in a Collar-and-Elbow Tie Up...only for Yuki's grip to shift, trying to wrap her arms around her rival's head for a headlock!

Eleanor let her opponent draw near. She was afraid but she still trusted in her ability to react in time to counter any sudden strike. She had trained for this moment; all she needed was to put it into action.

As Yuki closed the distance, Eleanor suddenly found herself caught in a Collar-and-Elbow Tie Up. She had made the mistake of letting her opponent take the initiative, but it didn’t seem too serious, it was just a transitional move, after all...

-Eh?-she gasped.

She hadn’t even realized it, but the grappling and her hesitation had left her guard open. In a flash, Yuki had locked her into a tight headlock. Now wasn’t the time for second-guessing, it was time to fight her way out.

Yuki would successfully catch Eleanor into a headlock, managing to seize the opportunity, and use the moment to get some momentum in the match...as well as get some damage done to her rival...as well as do some mental damage to her rival:

"Kneel..."

Yuki would press her foot on Eleanor's calf, forcing her down on her knee. Alongside mocking her rival, this gave her an opportunity of a better torque on her rival's head. As a result, Yuki would limit control of the blood flow to Eleanor's head, making her rival dizzy fairly quickly...

Eleanor had followed Yuki’s commands almost instantly, not out of submission, but because she was being overpowered by her opponent. With every passing second, the pressure increased. Yuki’s grip was monstrous, unrelenting, and it felt as though there was no escape. The hold was crushing her physically and mentally, blurring her thoughts with growing confusion.

-Damn it...- she muttered under her breath.

Panic began to creep in. Eleanor started to throw uncoordinated kicks in a desperate attempt to strike Yuki and force some separation. Her last hope, however, relied on something far less graceful and hard to achieve...biting down hard on Yuki’s arm with every ounce of strength she had left.

If successful, Eleanor would immediately try to wriggle free and create distance between them, gasping for breath and clutching at her aching body as she prepared for the next exchange.

Yuki was smug about her successful submission. Naturally, she didn't think Eleanor would tap out here and now, even if the move was difficult to escape as is...but the visual of the dominant debutee to LAW having her opponent in such a state was important. Even now, she could here the clicks of both professional grade cameras...and the simulated sounds coming from people's smartphones from the crowd...

...which what made it all the worse as Yuki's face contorted, feeling sharp pain at her arm, as she released Eleanor!

"AAAAAAAH!"

Stepping away, Yuki checked her arm. Confirming her suspicions, she saw imprints from teeth of her rivals!

"You...ANIMAL!"

Yuki was legitimately flabbergasted at her rival's counter, and even the ref would admonish Eleanor for her bite...

...but in anger, Yuki would shove the official out of the way, trying to unleash a hard chop across Eleanor's chest!

Eleanor saw the opening and took it. With a quick twist, she slipped free from Yuki’s grip, turning on her heel just in time to catch the expression on her opponent’s face. The expression of fury there was unmistakable, and Eleanor thought that this was perfectly understandable given the counter she had just pulled off. A sensatio of guilt and shame hit her. This wasn’t the way she wanted to handle things. Yuki’s sharp, reproachful shout just made things worse so Eleanor feel the need of talk.

-Uhh… I’m sorry, that was… a bad, I guess I...-Eleanor began, her voice tinged with awkwardness. She gestured with her hands in a clumsy attempt to defuse the tension, trying to put some sort of explanation together.

She never got the chance to finish.

The first hand chop cracked across her chest, silencing her mid-sentence and jolting her entire body. The sharp sting left no doubt in her mind, Yuki wasn’t interested in hearing excuses. Whatever Eleanor had intended with her apology didn’t matter; they were in the middle of a match, and gestures of goodwill weren’t part of the game here.

Still, a chop of that magnitude couldn’t go unanswered. Eleanor straightened her stance, accepting the “invitation” Yuki had just delivered. Drawing back her arm, she swung forward with all her strength, aiming a solid chop that was intended to land right across her opponent’s chest.
