GASTER vs Rosie Soto

"Heh...a step up from being "Not as smart as you thought"...wonder if I can make you kneel before me by the end of this..."

Though the first quip came from Clara, she effortlessly slipped back into character, working Rosie over as she squeezed her skull with her MIGHTY (but not quite) arms.

Rosie wouldn't be content to be grounded for long, however, and would prove she wasn't just about cheap tricks. She would successfully make it back to her feet, despite GASTER's attempts to keep the girl on the ground...

...and from there, she would manage to break the headlock, and grab one of Clara's hands, quickly getting behind Clara to trap her in an arm hurting Hammerlock!

"Ghhh...", she grunted, as she felt Rosie working her arm. Not only a strategist...but a dangerous technician in her own right!

...but, GASTER wouldn't allow her redclad foe to slow the pace down. She attempted to double down from her position, and attempted to toss Rosie forward on her back with a Hip Toss!

From there, GASTER wouldn't let her get up...or even sit up, as she would quickly cover her and hook her leg for the first pin of the match!

Rosie had every intention of staying one step ahead of GASTER from the onset of this match up until the finish. But her resilient, strong-willed foe was able to meet her at every turn thus far! After catching the masked brunette with a Hammerlock, Rosie worked them arm. She'd bend and torque as much as she could manage and with her attention diverted, GASTER was able to reverse the hold by reaching back and throwing the twin tailed lightweight over her side with a Hip Toss!

"Grrr!" Soto groaned disdainfully as she was taken down! Before she could properly express her frustration, GASTER was already right on top of her! The charismatic enigma would hook Rosie's leg, prompting the referee to begin counting!

"Kneeling to you in victory..." Rosie would begin a retort to GASTER's previous comment. She might have been down, but she had a plan. Rosie always had a plan....

She'd reach for the back of her rival lightweight's head as the first count was made!

"ONE!"

"Would be painfully ironic!" The leotard clad girl would protest as she tried to turn to her side and drive GASTER's head down into the canvas harshly to break the pin! Rosie imagined that the impact would push the Shadow Lord's face directly into her own mask, ensuing in sufficient pain and discomfort! If the move worked, Rosie would promptly push herself up her feet! She'd run for the ropes and pick up speed to try and catch GASTER whilst she was reeling. Rosie would attempt to coax GASTER in a kneeling position to set her up for a Hurricanrana Driver!

With the immensely fast pace opening the match, the fans have all but forgotten about Rosie's stunt earlier, actively cheering at the technical exchange in the ring, as the two girls wouldn't give an inch to one another, reversing each other's holds, hoping that theirs would be the one to slow the pace of the match down to their favor...

And at first, it appeared that GASTER would be the girl to do so, managing to get the first pin of the match on the red-clad lightweight. The pinfall, however, would be incredibly short lived...

"Hm?-----AAAH!", the Shadow Lord would scream in pain as Rosie would sneakily grab the back of her head, and slam it against the canvas of the ring face-first, dazing the masked girl to buy herself some time!

And the cunning lightweight would use her time wisely, while GASTER was still reeling from the head smash. The Shadow Lord, despite the fuzzy feeling in her head, would instinctively attempt to get back to her feet, getting to her knees...

...right as Rosie would take for the Shadow Lord and swiftly trap her head between her calves and, with a swift motion, would slam the Shadow Lord's head into the mat once more, with a much bigger impact compared to the head smash using an impressive looking Hurricanrana Driver!

GASTER would stir somewhat on the mat after her skull impact the mat, but the movements wouldn't contribute to much as she laid face down in the ring, with Rosie unlikely to give her a moment's rest...

GASTER was holding her own against Rosie's different brands of offense. When deceit and basic moves didn't net her a distinct advantage, Rosie was forced to try one of her more serious, impactful moves! The Canadian girl managed to pull off her signature Hurricanrana Driver and left GASTER sprawled out on the canvas! After hitting the move, Rosie would crawl towards a faced down GASTER and attempt to roll her over.

"Victory is what I live for. I'll not see a victory in this contest go to the likes of you..." Soto said coldly as she tried to hook both of GASTER's legs for a pin! Fans began to clamor in expectation. Many rallied behind GASTER in the hopes that she'd be able to press on. Rosie paid them no heed. Instead, she directed her attention to the official, who promptly did as she said.

"Count!"

"ONE...!"

Towards Rosie's proclamation, all GASTER could reply with was: "Guuuh...", in the aftermath of the lightweight's two attacks.

Feeling her legs being grabbed, the Shadow Lord will be practically folded in half by the barefoot girl, with ref counting the pin!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Despite her daze, the masked lightweight heard the count loud and clear, and right as ref would call out for 2, she would force Rosie off of her with her legs, launching them upwards and unfolding them to stop the pinfall at 2!

GASTER had gone down convincingly. Rosie smiled as she hooked both of those petite legs, eager to take down what she viewed to be a farce of a woman hiding behind a mask. But as convincingly as GASTER had gone down, she kicked out with authority on the count of two! The force of the kick out drove Rosie up to a seated position. She'd let out a long, deeply exasperated sigh while rolling her eyes.

"Aaaaaaghhhh! Where was all this resiliency during the lightweight war!?" She said as if she had fully expected to contest to end then and there. Soto had approximated the skills of those she had seen compete and those she had been in the ring with. And clearly, GASTER was surpassing those metrics.

"No matter." The red-clad girl would say with closed eyes. She took a deep breath while she tried to calm herself. Soto would push off the canvas and make her way to her feet. She'd look down at GASTER with her usual, calculating, apathetic expression and wait for the masked lightweight to make it to all fours. At that moment, Rosie would jump up extend her legs in an effort to drill her back down to the canvas with a Legdrop to the back of the head! If the move landed, Soto would pop up to her feet once more and wave to a halfways skeptical audience before running towards the ropes to wow them with a cool aerial move.

In an effort to save face by showing off and to put GASTER away, Rosie would jump onto the middle rope and springboard off of it towards her downed foe. She'd soar across the ring and try to nail her foe with a Springboard Moonsault! If the aerial maneuver connected, Rosie would point to the stadium ceiling while wearing a smile on her face. She'd try to roll her opponent over before once again going for a pin, this time a simple cover!

"Stay down, 'Shadow Lord'."

"Mmmghhh...", Clara groaned in reply to Rosie's question, not knowing the answer herself to the girl's question...

She attempted to sit up...but would only manage to turn on her stomach, holding her hurting head as she cringed in pain under her mask, still feeling the skullache from Rosie's 2 devastating attacks earlier...

...and she was going to add more to them, as she jumped up in the air, and aimed her leg straight for the back of GASTER's head!

"AAAAAAAAAH!", she screamed as the pain in her head became even more unbearable, and she herself was even more disoriented, seeing triple images of the ropes, crowd, and Rosie's bare feet in front of her...before they quickly left her eyesight altogether...

...before she suddenly felt something heavy fall on her back!

"GYAAAAAAH!"

With Rosie's Moonsault connecting with her spine, the red clad lightweight made sure to clearly establish dominance in the match, as she quickly turned the Shadow Lord over onto her back to pin her once more:

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THR----NOOOOO!"

With a loud shout, the Shadow Lord would arch her aching spine to lift her shoulders up, letting out an audible groan of pain in the aftermath of the kick out....

Despite not landing a finisher, Rosie had estimated that the combination of offense thus far capped off with an impressive aerial maneuver would put her foe away. Looks of concern found their way upon several of the fan's faces as the pig-tailed girl leaned in for the cover! But GASTER's resiliency withstood the test of Rosie's offense yet again! The masked Shadow Lord kicked out at the last possible moment! Rosie would find herself pushed up to a seated position. She tried to keep her normal apathetic expression, and for the most part, she did. The petite, red-clad wrestler looked down at GASTER with a twitchy right eye. After a few seconds, Rosie would let out a deep sigh.

"Lashing out now, won't win the match." She said. Soto did well to not let this annoyance overcome her. GASTER wasn't just anyone. But like any other wrestler, she'd suffer a defeat at Rosie's hands!

"I just have to approach from a different angle. If you desire so greatly to avoid being pinned, perhaps you'll tap." Rosie said in a flat tone as she worked her way up to a standing position. The girl's feet pitter-pattered across the canvas as she circled her foe to grab her by the foot. Soto would reach down for GASTER's right boot. She'd stand up and lift it off the canvas before attempting to turn around and step over that leg. Rosie would begin setting up to put her foe in a Figure Four Leglock!

Rosie would smile if she locked in the hold. The two were already near the center of the ring. With her one track mind set on victory, the girl wouldn't care if her masked opponent's knee snapped or if a natural disaster found it's way to the arena! She'd keep this hold locked in until the match was called in her favor!

"Uuuugh...you tell me this...while having a twitching eye?", GASTER taunted Rosie, finally snapping out of the daze induced by Roise's attacks to her head. She looked directly at Roise, having her usual, competitive fire in her eyes...

Still, Rosie let her plans known to the Shadow Lord. If she couldn't be pinned, tapping out was the next best thing. The red-clad wrestler would grab GASTER's feet, making them into a 4. Even if GASTER snapped out of the daze, her body was barely ready to protect her from harm...

But, right as Rosie sat down, and right as she was about to press her horizontal right leg onto her left with her right, GASTER would manage to catch her foe's leg, practically blocking the hold!

And that wouldn't be it for the Shadow Lord. To fully break the hold, she would snake her trapped right leg from underneath Rosie left, aiming it right at the lightweight's chest to force her off of her!

In her small episode of frustration, the Canadian girl made the mistake of voicing her plans aloud to the Shadow Lord. In retrospect, it was something of a blunder, though nothing that most opponents would easily capitalize on. As Rosie dropped down to lock in her Figure Four hold, she'd find that GASTER wasn't like most opponents.

Before Rosie could hook her own leg around GASTER's ankle to complete the hold, the masked wrestler would grab hold of Soto's leg to block it. She'd follow up by quickly sliding out her trapped leg and aiming a kick at Rosie's chest! The blow would see to it that Rosie's back hit the canvas. She'd clutch her modest chest with one hand and roll over two rotations to create some space.

"Annoying..." The pigtailed girl would remark in a low tone. The red-clad girl would try to find her way to her feet quickly. She feared the possibility of losing the upper hand she had secured. With a sense of urgency in her movements, Rosie would rush towards the Shadow Lord. She'd reach for her foe's arm with both hands and step over it before attempting to floor the increasingly popular lightweight with a Rolling Crossambar!
