If possible, I'd like all qualifying matches to finish before late September/Early October.

The idea of the qualifiers was to give people a hook to base stories/RPs on while waiting for the real tournament to start, and to be something we could work on without a hard deadline. That's why it's not 'round one' of the tournament.

I like that. It's a fun and neat way to do things.

Welp since people are putting in opinions on the titles, guess I'll throw in my two cents.

I like the qualifiers. It gives people a reason to have a good match, maybe build up story or attitudes, and it gives winner a chance to stall and deal with stuff. Also an interesting way of cutting down people but I wish there was a more definitive way to limit people/amount of people...granted I understand why there really isn't right now.

Don't really have a problem with the date, just assuming he's standing firm on the end of the month he stated, so what if he isn't. It'll be hard to be patient but we'll manage.

I think it would be a good idea for to to be held at the same time eventually if possible once they're established and there are less possible people going for them. Since this one's a tourney though I feel like it would be chaos to have everything going on at once and at least I know I'd totally lose interest in 3 tourneys going on at once. Granted idk, I prolly just don't have patience to read through a lot of stuff.

Cool idea to have a poll on belts, personally I don't like how democratic everything is in some cases but meh. It is cool to see people interested in that sort of stuff though but I'd keep in mind that too many choices at once gets confusing for the consumer. (I'm saying this without knowing how many choices there are )

I do like the weight class, I feel its one of the things that separate this from AFW.

As for the whole qualifier round, I am neutral to it. That being said, are we really in such a rush to start handing out belts? I mean I think it's better to take our time and make sure we are doing it right/well. Though if we really need to start giving out belts in a short amount of time, perhaps for the heavyweight and lightweight belt, we can use a different system to determine the champion. The Heavyweight could perhaps be a four-way match or a ladder match or etc. The light weight could perhaps be some kind of royal rumble.

I've been saying that from the start, Person. We shouldn't be in a rush for belts (or PPVs or even tournies), but I realize I'm in a very small minority on this. I still think we should be taking our time on, well, everything, but everyone else seems to want everything done ASAP, so...

For the record, I'm also of the mind that we should take our time. And I know a few others who feel the same way. You're definitely not in the minority, Luna. I think people that prefer belts sooner rather than later just tend to be more vocal.

Edit: also, in reference to person's point. Wouldn't those match suggestions work better the other way around? Just thinking about it thematically, a lightweight championship ladder match and a heavyweight royal rumble for a championship seem to fit better than a lightweight rumble/heavyweight ladder match. At least, that's my opinion.

I don't get the rush for belts in general. People seem to be forgetting that once they've had a weight belt in particular, besides getting the world belt, your character has most likely peaked.

It's people rushing to the endgame already when I doubt even the number of completed threads on site has hit double digits.

Except that is how round one of a tournament can work? I guess we need to wait for everyone's matches to finish either way unless you just announce the winner early and move on to round two, so they both function in exactly the same way.

We're not doing it well, that was the point of the post.

Unfortunately it seems you are the majority, and that makes for a pretty terrible situation. Once the titles are in circulation, they are traded freely since there is no restriction on how short a champion's reign is, there is no valid reason to want to 'take it slow' with the utterly mad direction we're headed right now. Two years is like a really low guess for how long it'll take to get everything done in this way.
