Sky High Justice: Aella Midori vs Phoebe Justice

High Speed Match: Winner to be declared by pinfall, submission or ko within a time limit of ten minutes

Aella hummed softly as she stretched out backstage. Dressed in a newer green two piece outfit she was feeling rather good about herself right now, but at the same time, she had something to prove somewhat. Despite a fairly good record in LAW thus far, she had seen chatter online and in the locker room about whether or not she could 'hang' with the girls in LAW.

Normally such things wouldn't bother Aella at all. Why should it? She knew her worth and skill better than anyone, but at the same time as her time in this company grew she found herself wanting more.. Not just for her own legacy, but Alizeh's well, she found herself wanting a shot at the newly vacated Middleweight title. Granted it was a bit late for her to sign up for Apex to be in consideration right away, but Aella was a patient woman and was more than willing to build her reputation now to be a top contender for the new middleweight champion once they were crowned.

So tonight she was looking to make a case for herself and in the process, show off to everyone that she certainly had what it took to keep up with anyone in the ring. Once her music began playing Aella would smirk to herself, bouncing on her feet for a moment before walking out from the back, smiling proudly for all the fans as they cheered and whistled for her.

Strutting down the ramp and towards the ring Aella would leap up onto the apron and blow a kiss to the fans before vaulting over the ropes and into the ring properly. Climbing onto a corner however she would pose once more for those watching as they cheered, even gesturing to her waist to show she had some title aspirations before hopping down and turning ot the entrance ramp, waiting for her opponent to come down.

Phoebe’s record in LAW was mixed to say the least. It was respectable for someone just 2 years into the business…but so-so considering she was now in her 30s. Business wasn’t kind to latecommers to the game. It ultimately meant less time for the former cop to have in the ring…less time to leave her mark on the business.

She would’ve lied to herself if it didn’t worry her a little, but ultimately, she couldn’t do anything about it but improve and continue to try and win matches. Tonight’s affair was against a woman she actually knew quite a bit about, former La Panthera Aella Midori.

…Phoebe couldn’t help but think that her mom will be watching this match very closely tonight…

There was a knock on her door, letting her know that it was time for her entrance.

As usual, Phoebe’s heroic theme played as she drove her motorcycle onto and down the entrance ramp, carefully driving around the ring to leave it at the announce desk. She got off her bike, wearing her usual mask and trench coat, as she hopped onto the ring apron…and then onto the top rope, hopping off it with a backwards flip to land in a superhero pose, as her theme quiet down, and she took off her mask and coat leaving them outside of the ring as she turned to Aella. Still wearing a serious expression, she lightly waved to the older woman…

Ring Attire

Waiting in her corner Aella would watch as her foe drove down to the ring on a motorcycle in a rather elaborate get up but she didn't mind at all. 'Alizeh would probably be geeking out right now.' Aella thought to herself with a chuckle as the woman known as Phoebe entered the ring and took off her entrance gear revealing her face and giving Aella instant deja vu.

Raising a eye brow Aella would return the wave while flashing a friendly enough grin to the woman before approaching the center of the ring and holding her hand out. Looking to offer a more direct and sporting greeting to the woman. Plus... "Hello Phoebe... Have we met before? I can't help but shake the feeling that you're rather familiar?" Aella would ask unsure, head tilted to the side as she tried to figure out where she had seen her foe's face before.

Aella was quite friendly to Phoebe as well, stepping to the middle of the ring, offering her a hand in display of sportsmanship. Not being beyond the concept, Phoebe accepted...though she was reluctant in answering Aella's question:

"I...I don't think we did, no...", Phoebe would say, not lying in the technical sense of the word. Tonight was the first time Aella met Phoebe...though maybe the opposite wasn't quite true for the Detective.

For now, Phoebe stepped away from the middle of the ring, trying to syke herself up for the speedy confrontation she had ahead of her...

[Bare]

Stepping forward and offering a handshake to Phoebe the older woman would notice two things out of the gate. One Phoebe seemed to be either introverted, or distrustful, since it took her a moment to decide on whether to accept her handshake, though she eventually did.

Second however, the woman was clearly hiding something. It took her a moment to answer Aella's question, and when she did she seemed, almost unsure of it. 'No matter, I'm sure I'll figure it out after the match.' Aella thought while maintaining her smile. "Hehe, guess you just have a familiar face then, either way, here's to a good match." Aella would say with a nod before taking a few steps back and putting her fists up in preparation for the coming match.

Nodding to her rival's words with a smile, the ref was finally ready to begin the match.

Phoebe got ready...not just as a wrestler...but a speedy wrestler at that.

DING DING DING!

Phoebe dashed forward as fast as a bullet, jumping into midair as she tried to take the older woman by surprise, trying to take her down quickly with a simple but effective Dropkick!

Aella smirked at her opponent as she got ready, knowing this would be a test of her endurance and skill, but she was more than welcoming too it! Dashing forward like a racer Aella would end up getting caught by the drop kick, but she'd roll with it.

Literally. Despite the pain in her chest Aella would tuck her body in as she came down and roll backwards with the momentum from the dropkick, immediately getting back up to her feet before darting back to Phoebe who would hopefully still be rising.

If she was then Aella would seek to go low as opposed to high like her opponent. Ducking down and sweeping her legs out as she approached Aella would aim to tangle her legs around the other woman's before pulling to bring her opponent face first to the mat with a quick drop toe hold!

Phoebe wouldn't stop for a second. Her dropkick found it's mark, and Aella would roll away from the impact. Phoebe would try and kip up onto her feet...but right as her feet made contact with the ground, she felt something wrap around her ankle, the Detective tripping on the spot as Aella drove her to the canvas with a Drop Toe Hold!

...only for Phoebe to try and showcase her athleticism, the Detective managing to land onto her arms, with her feet jumping into the air for a handstand! From there, Phoebe tried to quickly get back to her feet before Aella attacked!

Speed was definitely the name of the game here and despite her age Aella was looking to show it, not only with her recovery from the dropkick but with her follow up drop toe hold that managed to drop Phoebe.

However similar to Aella the girl was fairly athletic and landed into a handstand which she used to get back to her feet just before Aella pushed herself and locked eyes with the girl... Before grinning. "Heh.. You really do remind me of someone." Aella said before breaking out into a run once again, attempting to grasp Phoebe's arm and turning to try and send the girl running at the ropes with a irish whip!

Phoebe was surprised at how quick Aella was still moving...even though her rival was only 10 years older than her, 40 years is the age when wrestlers usually slowed down in their style, focusing less on speed and more on pace...but so far, Aella has more than kept up with her.

The older woman would quickly approach Phoebe, grabbing her arm, before throwing her into the ropes...with Phoebe coming back straight at Aella with a jump, trying to get her legs around her head, and toss her to the side with a Headscissors Takedown!
