Melody Serperior vs "Prism Girl" Anzu Mazaki - 5 Count Match

Even though she managed to kick out, the lionsault left the greenette lying on the mat groaning a second longer as she got the air back to her lungs. Thankfully, however, she was nowhere close to losing, beating the 5 count at the 2nd second...

Right as Melody tried to sit up to hopefully get to her feet, however, Anzu followed up her attack by crushing Melody's windpipe with a leg drop...

...then another...

...and then a third one, Melody lying on the canvas with a coughing fit as the Prism Girl completed the trifecta of Leg Drops!

And to follow it up, Anzu was now climbing the top rope, seemingly looking to put Melody down for the count!

Not looking forward to being crushed by Anzu's frame once again, Melody lifted her knees up to her stomach. As a result, Anzu would spike herself stomach first into the greenette's knees with her Moonsault!

Anzu had already fully committed to the Moonsault and she'd soon see that this would be a mistake as her momentum was used against her. Anzu would crash land into Melody's knees and would spit out saliva before she'd roll off of Melody's knees. "DUAWAAHHH!!!!" Anzu spat out before she'd hold her stomach and coil up into the fetal position before she'd attempt to recover from being winded in such a fashion. The LAW crowd was loving it though as they cheered loudly after the counter.

Managing to counter Anzu's Moonsault, Melody got to her feet as quickly as possible, still coughing after the girl's 3 Leg Drops. Locking her eyes on the Prism Girl, Melody would rush towards her:

"Come here!", Melody shouted, grabbing Anzu by her head to get her to her feet, before getting said head underneath her arm!

From there, Melody would lift the Magical Girl up into the air, before dropping on her back driving Anzu's head into the mat with a Impaler DDT!

Anzu was stunned from the Moonsault counter, and was trying to get her bbearings. Then she'd be hoisted up in the air and unceremoniously dropped skull first into the mat with a Impaler DDT. Anzu was dazed beyond belief as she looked up at the arena lights and would roll closer to the ropes from the sheer impact of the move. Anzu needed a moment to recuperate but the LAW crowd was cheering and Melody was right on her tail so that chance of recovery seems to be unlikely.

With her DDT finding it's mark, Anzu instinctively would roll to the safety of the ropes. The ref stood between the 2 girls, to allow Anzu to try and recover at the ropes, Melody nodding in understanding of the request:

"Doing ok there?", Melody would ask the Prism Girl as their match got more and more heated...

Anzu was given time to recover thanks to the referee. She wasn't prepared for her opponent's high impact offense in this match. Anzu would use the ropes to get back to her feet and would nod in response to Melody's question. Anzu needed to think of something fast to try and turn the tables. Anzu would just rush at Melody hoping her opponent would side step her. If it worked Anzu would rush at the ropes behind her opponent and try to jump over itto land in the ring. Anzu would then try to wait for Melody to hopefully follow after her to try and nail her with a Step up Kick to her opponent's face to try and set up for a beautiful

Melody smiled as Anzu recovered, quickly standing back into a fighting stance to continue the match.

As Anzu would get into the match, the Magical Girl would rush straight for the Greenette! Melody would easily side step her, trying to avoid hitting her forearm for a clothesline or the like. She would quickly turn 180 degrees, sure that Anzu would simply rebound to repeat her earlier attempt...

...and quickly realize she was wrong in her assessment, with Anzu hoping to the ring apron instead of a rebound.

As she came closer to get Prism Girl back into the ring, Anzu would suddenly jump onto the top rope! Jumping off a moment later, her foot would aim and land square for Melody's face!

"GWOOOH!", Melody let out as she dropped on her back, holding her aching face and laying on her back as Anzu returned the momentum of the match in her favour with one good kick to her opponent's face!

Anzu managed to connect with her Step-Up Kick and floor Melody. Momentum was back on Anzu’s side and she wanted to make the most of it. Anzu would rush to the ropes and attempt to Springboard off of them to launch her body off the ropes hopefully onto Melody’s stomach for a wicked Lionsault. If this worked, Anzu would go directly for a pin hoping to gain some ground in this match. Things were getting more and more desperate for Anzu the longer this match progressed.

Quick to follow up on her attack, Anzu would jump onto the ropes once more, this time, jumping onto the middle rope and flipping in midair, before slamming her frame on top of Melody's stomach for a beautiful and deadly Lionsault!

Upon her landing, the magician would immediately hook Melody's leg for the pin. A combination of a hard kick to the head and a flip on top of someone was a powerful one, as Melody was still hearing bells after Anzu's step up kick...

"ONE!"

However, she heard the ref's voice loud and clear. She pressed her foot onto the canvas...

"TWOOOOOO!"

And, right when the ref was about to lift her hand into the air for a third count, Melody would use her untrapped foot to turn her frame on the mat, pushing Anzu off herself slightly and getting her shoulder off the mat, breaking the pin!

After the kick out Anzu was beyond pissed. She couldn't even get a 3, and she snapped. Anzu straddled Melody and began pummeling the woman's face with repeated enclosed fists to the skull out of pure rage. Anzu had been burdened that she wasn't able to win a normal match which ends with a three count pin but all her efforts thus far ended with a two count. All her pent up frustration was letting loose on Melody with the referee only counting and threatening to dq her if she didn't stop by 5.
