LAW's First Ever Royal Rumble ~ Press Conference!

Standing behind a podium, atop a stage, with the press gathered around, photographers with their cameras flashing and reporters ready to take notes, one Sylvia Smith stood proud. She wore a light smile on her face as she looked out over the assembled media, waiting for the noise and general buzz of the crowd to die down before she began speaking. This was her big moment. She had been planning this event for months, and today was the day that she finally got to make the big announcement. She waited for the crowd to die down, and then...

...then she leaned in towards her microphone, her voice loud and confident, her accent crisp as she began to speak.

"I am sure you are all wondering why I've gathered you all here today. Worry not, I plan on getting straight to the point. Today is a milestone in the history of the League of Anime Wrestling, and one I'm sure that you will all remember for years to come."

"My name is Sylvia Smith, and I was recently hired to the company as the Director of Special Events. Naturally, such a title comes with great weight, and great responsibility, so naturally I decided that I needed to go big for my first event for the company. Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to present to you all...the first ever LAW Rumble."

The crowd began to buzz again, but such was Sylvia's presence, such was the aura that she radiated, that she was able to silence them all with a simple wave of her hand before she continued.

"Such an event is a huge responsibility, and I have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the event gets off without a hitch. This is a monumental undertaking for our company, and one that I am certain will delight and entertain everyone both inside and outside the ring. This will be a hard-fought event for the ladies of LAW, and the prestige that comes with winning such a thing cannot be understated, and so I am positive that all of the women we have signed to this event will be fighting as hard as possible to be the last woman standing and walk out of the arena as the victor of the match."

"Now I know what most of you are thinking: Which members of our illustrious roster have been chosen for this event? You won't have to wait much longer to find out, in fact. We have gathered many of the women involved with the Rumble here today, and they'll soon be joining us on-stage to answer a few brief questions about the event."

With those words said, Sylvia lifted a small remote device on her podium hitting a single button on it, causing the monitor handing behind her to light up, revealing three simple questions upon the screen:

"How do you think you'll fare during this match?"
"Do you have a particular strategy or plan going into the Rumble?"
"Are there any women in the event that you know of that you'll be looking out, wanting to avoid, or be going after?"

"In a moment, we'll have our first woman take the stage. One at a time they'll answer the questions, and then make an exit. For, ah...security reasons, we'll say, we're not going to let multiple entrants share the stage at once. After all, we can't have a fight breaking out right here and right now, can we?"

Sylvia smiled, and gestured to the left side of the stage before continuing. "And now, without any further ado, let's introduce our first competitor in the first annual LAW Rumble..."

First on the agenda was Helena Clemence. The French Sensation had been eager to be apart of this and penned her name the moment it was announced, a rare chance to make history as the first rumble winner of LAW? No prize other then that was needed for her. And truth be told it had always been a exciting prospect even if it came with a great deal of risk. Helena came to the ring with little fanfare and shook the lovely Sylvia’s hand. “ Merci Mme Sylvia, je suis honorée de faire partie de cela.” Now returning her attention to the fans she would use the mic she was given to answer each question.

“Well if one can pardon a bit of boasting on my part. I have no intention of losing. But If I were to be honest though the unpredictability of this type of match can see even the best fall from something simple. Of course I think this unpredictable nature only benefits some like moi. So long as I keep myself wary of my surroundings I think I can manage the chaos.”

2.”Do you have a particular strategy going into the Rumble?

“ Gagnez bien sûr! Like I said the best strategy is keeping your sense of self and making sure you do not lose focus mid match. Far too easy to be tossed off by the more aggressive wrestlers of ones lingering in the back. But so long as I stay focused and away from the ropes I can’t be thrown out. At least not without a great deal of trouble for any competitor who tries. ”

3. “Are there any women in the event that you know of that you’ll be looking out, wanting to avoid, or be going after”

“Im afraid that while I know the names of many of these competitors I know none of them well enough to avoid or want to look for any of them. I suppose the throwing out the bigger names of this event would give me a bit of attention but so would winning it all which I think should be more important then worry about avoiding certain members. When that happens many of those same women and others will be paying attention to me and I look forward to facing all of them. Thank you for the time.”

With that Helena blew a kiss to the crowd and slowly made her exit.

Next up was JJ one of the youngest of the entrants in the inaugural LAW rumble! JJ came out strutting about in her wrestling gear looking to show off and give everyone a glimpse of what she hoped the winner of the rumble would look like. She held her arms out and blew a kiss to the crowd assembled before taking her place at the podium. "Thanks for putting this on Sylvia, I think it is a great idea to show everyone exactly what the future winner of the rumble thinks of their chances." JJ said as she winked to the crowd with a grin on her face as she earned a few cheers.


1. How do you think you will fare during this match?

JJ smiled and struck a nice little victory pose, chuckling a bit. "I mean you are looking at the future winner right here baby. I combine speed, power, charisma and sassy attitude unlike anyone else in that ring. I am gonna show that I am not just a promising rookie but I am a bona fide future champion in LAW. Winning this rumble is just the first step to gold around my sexy waist." JJ said full of confidence and vim.

2. Do you have a particular strategy going in to the rumble?

"Haha! Girls, once I get my hands on you it is over. I am gonna just go out there and dominate the same way I do every other match I have been in. I can toss women over the top, fool them into eliminating themselves, you name it I can do it to win." JJ said once more sounding every bit the cocky young woman she was. "I train hard with Sienna who can do everything between these ropes and I am just as versatile if not moreso."

3. Are there any women in the event you know of that you'll be looking out, wanting to avoid, or be going after?

"Ain't nobody in this match I want to avoid! They should want to avoid me! I am going after everyone and since I want to make a nice name for myself eliminating that big loudmouth flubbery female Karen Starring would be fun. She like feuds with an amazon soccer mom and gets her bubble butt beat down every time it is a straight fight. Chigusa is another name I recognize so I got a target on her too although every woman I get my hands on I am gonna do all I can to personally eliminate. With that I will see you all at the rumble, so take a good look at what your eventual winner is gonna look like." JJ said with a wink, waving to the crowd as she strut off the stage.

Soon after JJ left the stage the next entrant would walk on stage, a ponytailed brunette wearing an orange sports bra and shorts; Momo Kazan! The girl would strut her way to the podium waving at the audience with a dazzling smile on her face, and when she got to the podium she would lean into it eagerly "Heya LAW! It's me, Momo!!!" she would declare, met with cheers. Momo was visibly buzzing with energy in anticipation of the upcoming event, it was a chance to be a part of LAW history and it just sounded like it would be a lot of fun "Thanks for letting me participate, Sylvia-san! Anyway, time for the questions!"

"Well I don't mean to sound full of myself but I think I'm gonna do pretty damn well!" she said, with a giggle "I'm fast, I'm good on my feet and all I need to do is throw people over some ropes! You don't need to be the biggest gal around to win something like that! Don't be too shocked if I win the whole thing, shishi!" she declared, pounding her chest in a show of confidence.

2 "Do you have a particular strategy or plan going into the Rumble?"

"Nope!"

3 "Are there any women in the event that you know of that you'll be looking out, wanting to avoid, or be going after?"

"There's no one I really want to avoid, if there's anyone I think I can't handle I can just run away and let someone else deal with them, lol" she said, clearly advertising her intentions to take advantage of the rules of a royal rumble rather than fight fairly "and I'm not gonna be going after anyone in particular, it would depend on who I'm in the ring with at the time. But in regards to who I'm looking out for there is one girl; Chika Igarashi! I don't know much about her, but she seems like someone who could be fun to tango with. There's also a few surprise girls no one knows about, so that's gonna be fun!"

With all the questions answered it was time for Momo to leave, but she decided to leave with a few more words "Well that's all from me. I think this rumble is gonna be real exciting, so come cheer for me okay!" With that she would do an exaggerated bow before taking her leave and walking off stage, hoping she had done her part to get people hyped for the event.

Next up, Chika Igarashi, dressed in her usual wrestling garb of a shirt, shorts...though with sneakers for politeness, arrived on the podium, accompanied by her manager, the blonde woman in a coat and rainbow coloured t-shirt under moniker of Thirteen. The manager chirply waved to the press, while Chika's greeting was more reserved, bowing to the crowd instead.

With the silent greeting, the crowd cheered both women on as the questions started up:

"How do you think you'll fare during this match?"

"We wouldn't have entered the match if we didn't expect to win...so indeed, regardless of where my client's startng position is...", Thirteen would start, before Chika finished:

"I'm planning on going the distance and finish this.

"Do you have a particular strategy or plan going into the Rumble?"

"That would be telling...", the Joshi giggled, before continuing: "My manager and I are considering all options, sizing all competition, the potential for where I will start the match...so indeed, a lot is going under consideration for the Rumble.", Chika would explain, to which Thirteen simply nodded in approval

"Are there any women in the event that you know of that you'll be looking out, wanting to avoid, or be going after?"

"The Rumble is filled with awesome women, some of whom have more than proven themselves on the roster, so we are dealing with them as equal threats..."

"Although actually...", Chika would interrupt: "There is a name that is being kept incredibly secret from everyone. Press, and competitors alike. I would say that the opponent you are least prepared for is the one you don't know"

"Hm...", Thirteen would say, before bowing to the audience once more, Chika following suit before the two left the podium.

Then came brimming out was none other than Ina Rache Rosenbaum! She donned her usual military uniform, mini skirt, and her signature crimson blood cape! The look upon her features is not that of excitement and eagerness but of hurry and callousness. Ina is not the type of person to play up with the crowd, and an interview does just that. But they might as well know the chiefest and greatest calamity that would befall their favorite wrestlers in this event! “Let’s get this over with! I have more important things to do than pander to lesser folks!”

"I guess that question is the pity of not knowing me beforehand. Of me joining your filthy ranks a day too late. Cause if not, you wouldn’t even dare to ask that question. So for your own sake, I’d introduce myself. I’m Rache! I am the huntswoman! I am the destroyer! I am the herald of woe! I tore through the ranks of wrestlers in Germany like a wolf amongst sheep! I left wrestling in my lands bereft of those unworthy of the sport! I am despair! I am fear! How will I fare in this match? I’d be the last warrior left standing in the ring that’s rightfully mine!"

"Do you have a particular strategy or plan going into the Rumble?"

"No, I don’t have a plan! I’ll strike -where- I wish, -when- I wish! My knuckles are iron! No wrestler can lay me low! My skill is unparalleled! My holds are inescapable! My pins… -are unkickable-!! The time before I enter would be their deep breath before the plunge! The cold comfort before the fires of war!"

"Are there any women in the event that you know of that you'll be looking out, wanting to avoid or be going after?"

"Me?! Avoiding them? Watching out for them?! I am the one they should watch out for! Not the other way around! I’d instill terror in their hearts, so when the next time they see this cape, they’d cower in fear! Flee! Run for their lives! But know that when they'd share the squared circle with me in it again, there'd be nowhere to hide! Know that the ropes of the ring would only close in on them, tighter and tighter, until they start clawing for their breath!"

With half of the reporters shaking, the other beyond paralyzed, stunned and stupefied, Ina only scoffed and gestured. "Auf wiedersehen!" Her cape trailed her figure from behind as she exited!
