Marie St. Pierre vs. Chika Igarashi: The battle of martial artists

Marie utter a swear under her breath as Chika managed to claw her way to the ropes and thus forcing a break. Not wanting to lose her first singles match, Marie acquiesced with the referee's call and released the hold, but still grabbed onto Chika's ankle as Marie got to her feet. Grabbing the thigh with her other hand, Marie looked to unceremoniously pulled Chika from the ropes and drop the smaller fighter onto her back.

Chika was determined to win her first match in LAW, no matter the cost. She hated losing by submissions period, her pride not letting her admit defeat, even in the face of immense pain...

As Marie released the hold, with Chika rising, Marie kept the Raven Knight's ankle in her grasp, Chika would manage to hop away from the ropes, and as Marie pulled on her leg to drop her on her back, Chika would manage to kick her leg upwards, spinning her body in midair as she tried to nail a hard Enzuigiri into the Quebecer's head!

Marie eyes suddenly went blurry and felt her body ears ringing as she dropped to the mat. It took a second before she could hear the crowd cheering and Marie realized that she had just been countered. The audacity, she thought, as Marie felt that she had the match under her control. Shaking her head, Marie started to roll to her belly and onto her knees with the intent to chase after Chika and not give her a moment's rest.

It was satisfying to feel Marie's skull connect with her leg, even if she had to take a tumble afterwards. With her rival from Quebec stunned, it was time to make Marie pay for everything.

She wouldn't run away from Marie as the woman rose to her knees, instead gritting her teeth as she shifted her weight onto her bad leg, spinning to bring a hard, soccer-like kick across her rival's chest!

[Faeron]

Marie winced from the hard kick, still surprised that Chika would even think about delivering a kick with the bad leg. Not one to back down from a striking match, Marie got back to her feet and delivered an open-palm chop across Chika's chest that made a loud sound across the arena.

[Vc0m]

"Mgggh...Aaaagh!", Chika grumbed as she received the hard open hand slap across her chest, making her take a step back...right onto her back leg.

The pain motivated her, however. Biting her lip, she stepped forward, trying to ram her forearm into her rival chest...before repeating the strike in succession 5 times, aiming to drive the Quebecer back!

[Faeron]

Marie took kick after kick after kick, absorbing them as best as she could but after the fifth, she finally dropped to a knee. Marie's chest was turning red from the repeated impact and she was finding it hard to breathe through all the abuse

Chika and Marie both breathed heavily as the Raven Knight proceeded with strike after strike after strike, her rival's chest reddening and lowering herself to a knee...

In response to which Chika lifted her still healthy leg, biting her lip at the pain in her other leg, as she rammed a Roundhouse kick into the Quebecer's head!

[Faeron]

Marie held on as best as she could, but one final roundhouse kick to the head was enough for Marie to finally release her hold as she fell to a knee stunned. The crowd was clapping loudly behind Chika, rooting for the smaller fighter to get back into the match. The Quebecer stumbled back to a vertical base, still visibly dazed as she leaned against the ropes while trying to shake the cobwebs from her head and subconsciously turning her back to a recovering Chika.

The way Marie ended up in the ropes was almost too perfect. One of her signature moves tended to be difficult to execute, due to how specific the situation to execute it tended to be...but now that her rival leaned on the ropes, with her face towards the crowd, Chika wouldn't pass this opportunity up, her leg be damned.

She rushed towards the opposite ropes to where Marie stumbled into, biting her lip as she tried to ignore the hellish pain in her leg, rebounding and heading back towards...a meter to the side of Marie.

From there, Chika slipped through the top and middle rope, before grasping them and spinning her body and legs towards Marie, trying to nail her legs into her face for a Tiger Feint Kick!
