Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Melody looked at the lights above the ring as she laid dazed on her back, hearing both the ringing in her ears and the roar of the crowd.
She felt Yamato grabbing her by her ankles to drag her towards the corner, not able to come up with a witty retort to the Japanese high-flyer's catchphrase as she would climb the top rope, bouncing her legs off of them, and doing a corkscrew as she came down to land on Melody with a Split Leg Corkscrew Moonsault!
All that Melody could do was to shift herself slightly forward towards the ropes, but that was it. Yamato still successfully landed on top of the greenette onto her stomach, as she would attempt her pin attempt!
"ONE!"
Melody would hear Yamato, answering as ref would make the second count official: "Yeah..."
"TWO!"
"THR---NO!"
"...ditto here...", Melody would weakly answer with a smirk as the ref stopped counting the fall...even though both of Melody's shoulders were still down. The ref would then point to the ropes to make sure everyone understood what happened, as Melody's hand clearly grabbed the bottom rope!
Knowing that she was unlikely to kick out from the Moonsault, Melody pushed herself forward ahead of time, to have availability to the ropes to ensure that she still stayed in this match!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
As Yamato's core torqued and collided with Melody's own, noise and excitement filled the stadium. The audience counted along with the ref, fully expecting Nadeshiko to clinch victory, but a sudden pause from the referee, followed by the revelation that Melody had grabbed the bottom rope, further amped the atmosphere! Yamato would cross her legs and sit beside Melody with her eyes widened and a puzzled look on her face.
"I swear I pulled that off without flaw! I'm pretty sure I got in two rotations. How is she..." The Japanese native allowed herself a moment to become distracted. Melody's resilience was quite commendable. And she'd have to reach that conclusion soon.
"If that's how you're gonna be, we'll up the stakes!" She'd say confidently while working her way up to her feet. If her foe was still down, Yamato would band down and reach for her arm, pulling on it and struggling with Melody to pull her up as well. Yamato would part her own hair before placing Melody in the corner. She would breathe heavily and wipe the sweat from her brow before looking over her opponent once more and attempting her next move. The light from the rafters in the arena would glisten off the worn bodies of the pair as Yamato looked to Melody and declared: "Todome da!"
She would then place her hands on Serperior's waist and thigh before trying to hoist her up to the top rope. If she could get Melody there in a seated position, Yamato would climb to the middle turnbuckle and point to the sky before jumping up and attempting a Frankensteiner!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Turning on her stomach, Melody kept the snide grin on her face as she addressed Yamato: "You are right, there was no chance I could've kicked out of that...but since I managed to reach the ropes, it wasn't quite as Perfect as you predicted, was it?"
The grin, however, disappeared when Yamato talked about upping the stakes.
"No...NO!", Melody shook her head as Yamato tried (and succeeded) in pulling Melody up to her feet, as well as sitting her on top of the turnbuckle, clearly having something devastating in mind...
Melody would almost try and kick Yamato on instint, to avoid what the woman described in Japanese as "the final blow" (Melody slightly surprised that this was one of the few words in Japanese she understood from Yamato). she would wait as the Perfect Woman made her way to the middle rope...
...before jumping and encircling her legs around Melody's head! Predicting the Frankensteiner correctly, Melody hooked her legs around the ropes, blocking the attempt for the high-risk move, before putting her feet on the top turnbuckle, and trying to lift Yamato up into the air...
If successful, Melody would jump from the top, trying to drive Yamato into the canvas, spine first, with a devastating top rope Powerbomb!!!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Melody's protests only spurred the hometown Japanese wrestler on. Yamato resolved to seal the deal with her signature, strength and aerial offense. After collecting herself and positioning her green haired foe on the top turnbuckle, she climbed up after her with fervor. Yamato's declaration of her next move being the last would echo out and she'd leap into action, hooking her legs around Melody's and throwing her upper body backwards to execute the Frankensteiner!
But even in this pinch, Serperior found a way to avoid being readily dispatched! The woman hooked her feet around ropes, preventing herself from being flipped down the canvas! Melody dug deep and summoned her strength, wrapping her arms around Nadeshiko's legs and summoning the strength to lift her back up onto her shoulders, even if only for a moment! One quick moment was all she needed to poise herself on the top rope and throw both herself and the woman boasting about being perfect to come down hard on her with a Top Rope Powerbomb! The echo of Yamato's back hitting the canvas would be heard from even the front row! Yamato would bounce off the mat and flop onto her belly! The audience roared as the official moved in to check on both women to ensure that they weren't ko'd! Yamato, herself would be unresponsive for now. Should her opponent be in a similar state, the referee would begin counting towards 10 to rule one or both female wrestlers as knocked out if they were unable to answer to rise to their feet in time!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
As Melody soared through the air, aiming to slam Yamato into the canvas with a hard powerbomb, just for a moment, she felt as if she was on top of the world...
But, as she came crushing down alongside Yamato, lanidng on her stomach, she remembered that she, sadly, was neither Wonder Woman or Supergirl. As the audience popped big time for the move, Melody was reminded why she didn't do stuff like this more often by her hurting muscles and stomach. Turning on her back, she cringed in pain as she felt the aftermath of the fall, adding to the pain Yamato inflicted earlier with her gorgeous Moonsault. The ref would check on her as she held her belly, asking whether she was still awake and could still continue:
"I...I think?", Melody would answer with a question for herself, the official only shaking her head, before checking on Yamato...but the Japanese woman seemed to be out of it!
As the ref started the count for both girls to see whether they can get to their feet before the ten count, Melody proceded to try to do just that...but was met with severe difficulty to do so. As the greenette tried to use her arms to help herself up, she found significant difficulty in doing so, as the fast paced match between the two ladies slowly, but surely, got more and more tired.
Still, undetered, and wanting to get up before Yamato, Melody pushed on, getting herself to a seat at ref's count of 3!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Melody's clutch counter was quite impressive, earning universal praise from the fans in the arena. It was quite the reaction, but despite it, Yamato still seemed out of it. All the claps, cheers, and chants in the world didn't seem to help the leotard clad wrestler at all. She remained on the canvas in a prone position, motionless as the official gave Melody a short physical assessment before beginning a count.
As the count advanced, the atmosphere seemingly became more intense. People were anxious to see which woman would literally rise to the occasion first. And by the count of 3, they'd get a vague idea. The lean, mean, green machine slowly but sure found her way to a seated position. Meanwhile, the proud, "perfect" Yamato continued lying there, seemingly unable to find herself on equal footing for now.
The aches and pains, the borderline shell-shock Yamato was feeling from the Powerbomb seemed to be taking it's toll. It was certainly a setback the Japanese wrestler, would press on. By the count of five, she'd begin to push herself up to her hands and knees. She told herself that she'd endure that last move a hundred times over if it meant advancing in the tourney and earning herself that Middleweight Championship in her home country!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
As the count continued, to urge both women to get to their feet, Melody would push through and manage to get the soles of her feet to the mat at the count of 5... noticing that Yamato wasn't done with the match yet either.
Both women would get to their feet at the count of 6 to the cheers from the crowd, officially continuing the tourney!
Melody was more than impressed with Yamato's endurance, getting up at the same time as her despite getting the worst of the earlier top rope powerbomb. But she wasn't going to be undone by the Perfect Woman!
She would try to approach Yamato, attempting to rattle her even further by launching a roundhouse kick at the side of the woman's head!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Yamato struggled and strained. She dug deep but eventually, she'd find herself in a standing position staggering to keep her balance. Nadeshiko certainly wasn't at 100 percent anymore, but the pro persevered and found her footing. And once she did, she'd begin to again perceive what was happening around her in the Tokyo Dome. The beaming lights, the roaring crowd, the green clad opponent delivering a swift roundhouse kick to her skull.
"Ah!" The black haired woman cried as her body shifted to the side due to the force of the kick. She stumbled towards the ropes, catching them with her upper body to maintain a standing position. Yamato held her head where she was kicked and and tried again to find her bearings. If and Melody pursued her, she'd try to retaliate by glancing back to gauge the distance and throwing her leg back for a Back Kick to the green haired wrestler's midsection!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Melody hoped that her roundhouse kick would down Yamato, hoping that it would be the start of the end of the match, as well as her chances in the Middleweight Tourney...
But perfection was much more stubborn than she anticipated.
She growled as Yamato caught the ropes maintaining a standing base. She didn't hear refs warning to get away from the rope to give her opponent time to recupperate. Beating Yamato and qualifying for the tourney was the only thing on her mind...
But even without the referee, Yamato was prepared for her, as the Japanese native would launch her foot right into Melody's stomach!
"UUUUUGH!", greenette grunted as she doubled down, holding her hurt stomach and unintentionally giving her opponent enough time to recover from her kick!!!

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior
Taking roundhouse kick to the side of the head certainly didn't do Yamato any favors. After struggling to recuperate, she retaliated with a ick of her own when Melody pursued her to follow up. The lighter woman doubled her in pain while holding onto her stomach. And Miss Perfection sought to capitalize on this by attempting another big move!
Nadeshiko would shake her head, trying to shrug off some of the pain from the kick she took earlier. She'd back up and attempt to hook her arm around Serperior's head for a Side Headlock. The black haired wrestler would then point towards the skies with her free hand and let out a battle cry before locking her hands together, tightening the headlock and running forwards with Melody in tow.
"ORRRRRAAA!" She'd roar as she attempted to run them both towards the closest turnbuckle. Yamato would then leap up and attempt to step off the middle rope, then the turnbuckle! Finally she'd try to take a few steps off the top rope, running the rope for a couple of steps before leaping off of it to execute a Springboard Bulldog! If successful, Yamato would maintain the headlock whilst building up the speed and power she needed to ultimately spike Serperior's head into the canvas near the center of the ring and hitting a move that was a crowd pleaser, to say the least.
