Title Poll

I've noticed a few conflicting opinions in the site chat and elsewhere regarding titles. So this poll is an attempt to address that. I've just been trying my best to service our community and help it grow. And this will be another attempt at that.

I'm going to take blame for the dissent some might have encountered on the subject of titles. I don't flex the admin muscles on LAW very often. But one thing I did when I made LAW is I decided that we should tackle one or more of the weight belts first. Literally wrote that somewhere in the FAQs/Rules section. My misstep here was that I didn't really consult anyone prior to making that decision. It just sort of made sense to me. For most people, the most apparent and immediate difference between other wrestling rp forums and LAW was that there are weight classes. So I thought "Well, why not do those first?"

But other people might disagree. So this is your chance to get it across to me if you do. Please vote and comment and help me decide which direction the community should collectively go in, regarding the title scene.

A small blurb on weighted belts: We do not have to do all the weight belts first. When we tackle them, I plan do it in the order of highest user activity. As it stands at the time I'm making this post the most active divisions are middleweight, then lightweight, then heavyweight. If this trend continues, middleweight will be the first of the weight belts to be introduced.

Last important point: please bear in mind that this poll is about deciding on which belt should be introduced first. It doesn't mean that if everyone says tag, there's a tag belt and a tag event tomorrow. Realistically, we won't get a tag belt tomorrow, or this week. We'll try to introduce a championship soon, based on the demand expressed and the amount of relevant user activity going on. But this thread is not a promise of a belt being introduced in the very near future. Please keep that in mind during this discussion.

Left it out intentionally because I don't think we should do the World Title first. I'd prefer if we established the 3 weighted belts first. But I'm open to opinions on that, too.

Weight belts are a given, which is why I think we should wait. Your a head of the weight division when you hold one. I think there should be something smaller to achieve before getting an accolade that big.

Was wondering something. Would it later be allowed to just for a storyline and most agree on the site that a character decided to make his own championship like the million dollar belt (Ted Debiasi) or the Internet Title (Zack Rider).

While I like the current belts ideas I had some other suggestions but think they need to wait until we got the titles from the poll up done first.

I think since the 24/7 is the most flexible and one that would shift hands a lot anyway that might be a good choice, since the less serious nature of it means you don't really need established character's with the belt for it to fulfil it's purpose.

Personally I think if the midweight title is the first one made then as people have suggested elsewhere it should have an authority kinda storyline to it. As to build up a heel quickly as they get given a free opportunity at the belt and build up another wrestler who earns their place and maybe opposed the unfair opportunities the heel is given.

People are reacting to this idea with "likes". I'm gonna assume that's in response to the authority storyline part since most people at this point have voted for a weight belt over 24/7. How many people wanna do an authority storyline for the middleweight belt?

Makes sense so should I take care of the authority aspect in that storyline when we get that far for now?
