LAW Apex Match: Doctor Fabulous vs. Vera Sapphire

Doctor Fabulous had driven Vera's leg back into the mat and then sat right back up, smiling cheerfully as she shrugged a shoulder. She could tell her opponent was having a horrible time with her limb... which meant that she had been succeeding in the way she wanted. Brushing some hair out of her face gently, she pat Vera on one of the hands clutching her leg and said, "I think you may be better off worrying less about payback and how you're going to keep fighting in this match," said the Wrestling Professor as she pushed herself up to a standing position. "Because right about now, any weight you put on that leg is going to start to ache in a way that is just deeply uncomfortable and painful."

Grabbing hold of Vera, she began to bring her up to a standing position. "And then... it's going to be one move that just really gives way. A much sharper pain. And then at that moment... it'll lock up. And you'll seriously start wondering for a moment, if you can put weight on it again," explained Fabulous, hooking that bad leg under her arm with one hand and draping her arm over Vera's shoulders. She would then attempt to hit a Fisherman's Neckbreaker, trying to use the leg as leverage while she spun, wanting to plant Vera's head and neck into the mat!

”Mgggh…спасибо, доктор, as if I didn’t know myself…”

Vera has been slipping in and out of her native language throughout the match…partially because of pain, partially because of anxiety. Her leg HURT. One lucky, long hold from the Good Doctor, and she’d have no choice but to tap out, not to mention the fact that she could barely move now that Fabulous has worked over her leg THIS well.

Fabulous continued to taunt her…to belittle Vera, as she picked the bigger woman off the floor, forcing her to her feet, as she grabbed her hurting leg, setting up for her next move…

…but as Vera grit her teeth, she pulled her arm back…before launching a hard punch into her foe’s stomach, trying to block whatever she had in mind:

”What makes you think…I’ll let you do that?!”

Doc Fab hadn't been trying to belittle Vera--it was a little bit of her strategy. Making Vera Sapphire aware of how things would play out with her hurt leg. Laying out how she may react. It was a mental game, and she wanted to wear out her opponent mentally just as much as she was wearing her down physically. It was planting the doubt in her head. Fabulous was at least good at that as well. But when the Wrestling Professor hooked that leg and went for another move, Vera still had some fight and will in her, punching her in the midsection.

The Good Doctor gasped, falling to one knee as she released Sapphire, wincing. While that leg was hurt, Vera's powerful arms were still fully intact, and they definitely had that striking power to them. "Woof... Of course not. It's about what you're willing to let yourself do," said Fabulous, looking up and offering her a smile before taking another big breath of air. "I'm just here to give you a push in a certain direction," added Doc Fab.

The blonde couldn't muster much, especially from this prone position on her knee. But she could deliver a simple shove towards Vera's knee, attempting to make her buckle and keep Vera from being able to do something particularly painful to her.

Despite the fact that the Middleweight was soundly dominating her throughout the match…the truth of the matter was that Vera was still a heavyweight. And while her speed was impacted, she still had hard strikes to deliver on her smaller opponent!

Still, the pain in her leg let itself be known…especially as the Good Doctor was fully ready to exploit Vera’s injury! While on her knees from a punch, with Vera pausing as she rubbed her sore limb…Doc Fab would deliver as simple an attack as she could, shoving Vera’s knee with her hands!

”YAAAH!!!”

Vera wobbled, losing her balance…as an idea struck her head…

…which was to simply strike WITH her head!

After stepping back…Vera would fall forward, trying to nail her head on top of Fabulous’s to punish her for attacking her weak spot!

Doc Fabulous prided herself on fabulous plans with fabulous execution and always done fabulously. Even in a shove to a knee, that was done fabulously with a quip added. Although it could have been done a little more fabulously as it didn't knock down Vera. It only encouraged her to assault that limb more in the future. But she could do something with that. She could find a way to pick the leg once more, find a new way to tear at it, and see if she could really keep Sapphire unable to keep coming at her with her strength.

And in a moment, those ideas ceased. A headbutt came as the Wrestling Professor started to stand. Her head shook from the impact as her eyes were wide in shock. The suddenness of it. The pain in her skull. She wobbled briefly before her legs proceeded to fold back, and Doctor Fabulous collapsed onto her back. She was entirely stunned from the headbutt as she idly moved a hand to rest on her throbbing skull, wincing as she groaned quietly. That was about it for any follow up Doc Fab had for her opponent and her leg, at least currently.

”Uuuuuuugh…”, Vera groaned out, her head and leg hurting after her strategem…but it worked. The Good Doctor was, if not out, then dazed for a moment, Vera finally having an opening for a comeback against the blonde:

”Time to…uuuh…pay you back for all your kindness, doctor…”, Vera would say, still rubbing her sore head as she found her way to her feet, lightly hobbling towards Fabulous, trying not to wince at every step with her hurting leg:

”And don’t worry…I know how expensive the doctors are in America.”

Vera would grab Fabulous between her legs and at her shoulder, pressing the blonde against her body in a Body Press position…but instead of falling on top of Fabulous, she would simply throw her back onto the floor behind her, with a vicious, powerful Fallaway Slam!

Groaning softly, Doctor Fabulous kept holding her hurt head. That headbutt hurt, quite a bit. She had succeeded in frustrating Vera enough, at least. The headbutt made that very clear. That was always the problem with throwing her opponents off their game--they sometimes reacted... unpredictably, in short. And the Wrestling Professor felt that as her head was throbbing in pain. Shaking her head once, she would start to stir as Vera spoke to her and headed to her. After finishing her remark, Fabulous smiled awkwardly and said, "I actually practice in Japan now..."

And then she was hoisted up by her powerful opponent. Kicking her legs and trying to wriggle out, Doc Fab knew nothing good would come of this if Sapphire had her way. She wasn't able to break free though, and not for lack of trying. That grip was strong. And then in a swift motion, she went flying over Vera's head and crashed down onto the mat, instantly arching up to the side as she held her back in pain and let out a long whine of pain.

Her eyes closed tight as she rolled over onto her side entirely, a hand trying to soothe her back, now hurting quite a bit from the impact. "The expenses are different..." muttered Fabulous, her other hand propping up her body enough to try avoid laying in a position to hurt herself more. That impact had been wicked enough to keep her from getting up immediately though.

Fabulous was hurting after the Fallaway Slam, though still having some strength to quip at Vera, as the blunette slowly stepped towards her rival, still hobbling on her aching leg:

”Then consider the rest of this…aaaah…a tip…you deserve it…”, Vera would say as she grabbed her rival’s hair, dragging the blonde up to her legs, and driving her knee into Fabulous’s gut to make her double over! From there, the Russian would shove her rival’s head between her legs…and lift her up on her shoulders…

…before dropping her straight down on her back with a classic, but still very painful Powerbomb, as she continued ramming her rival’s spine against the ground!

”Feeling Fabulous now, Doc?”, Vera winked at the blonde, still keeping hold of her rival’s legs as she tried to pin her against the ground, referee running to count it!

Doctor Fabulous was reeling from that Fallaway Slam, with her back being in a lot of pain. It wasn't anything that wasn't manageable though. Just a little hiccup. Once she caught her breath, she felt she would be able to make it through to mount another string of offense. That is, until she felt herself being grabbed by the hair, letting out a sharp cry as she grabbed at Sapphire's hands, the crowd booing the Russian's clear illegal grab. In quick work, Doc Fab was then brought up and then crashing down in a big powerbomb--the second of the match.

The Wrestling Professor's body jolted with pain, starting from the head and neck and through the rest of her body, but it didn't allow her room to recoil, as Vera stayed right on top of her, pushing her shapely legs back to secure a pinfall. With a long, audible groan, the Good Doctor held the back of her head, gritting her teeth. She knew she couldn't take too much more of that, but Vera was trying to put this match away.

The pinfall was starting to be made.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THR--"

Doctor Fabulous bucked out of the pin, her body flopping to the side as she made it work, keeping her hands on the back of her head as she continued to groan in pain. This was not ideal in any way--she needed to do something about Vera's steady onslaught. But she did manage to muster out, "I'm always feeling fabulous..." A statement she made with her whole chest, even in her beaten up state.

Despite how…painful a foe Doc Fab was, Vera couldn’t help but respect her. In spite of her mind games, in spite of having a clever answer to anything the blunette was saying…she still had a brave face on. She was still as confident as one could be when faced with overwhelming odds. Even if Vera was angry at her foe, angry at making the crowd boo her, angry at getting into her head…she knew that Fabulous was quite indeed a Fabulous opponent.

As such, her words made Vera chuckle: ”We’ll see how fabulous you’ll feel in a moment…”, Vera took a deep breath, grabbing her rival by her hair once more, biting her tongue as she put wait on her sore leg…and with knowledge that it’s going to hurt a lot more after the execution of her finishing move!

Grabbing Fabulous between her legs and shoulder, Vera turned her rival upside down…and hissed. While one of her legs was healthy, her other leg was now taking the weight of 2 people! But this would be worth it, Vera told herself, as she tried to drill the Good Doctor’s head down into the canvas, trying to knock her out with her finishing Sapphire Waterfall!
