Friends Share! - Navi vs. Domino

Here it is; that valuable moment in time, that opportunity to help the blonde be ready for the next leg in her tournament ventures. He tries to keep the hold sort of light, twisting her body and squeezing her belly enough to pain her, but he's not looking for a tapout. He'll hold her there as long as he can, however, the pressure gradually increasing, getting worse. And if she doesn't get through soon, this could put him at a considerable advantage in the match - would, for sure, if he were going full-bore with it.

It's a long, long time before she does anything that even resembles progress. While that could be a testament to his ground-game, Drake believes it's more of a sign that her fury has left some sizeable holes in her defense. What she opts to do, however, is a little clever; he'll give her credit for that. Twisting into the hold and putting him in a pinning position forces him to compromise the hold on her by kicking out.

Which he promptly does when Melody drops beside him.

One arm still around her waist and likely sitting up, he attempts to drag her to her feet with him and shove her back into the corner of the ring.

"ONE-----NO!", Melody shouted, knowing that Drake wouldn't kick out so easily this early on.

Domino, meanwhile, kept the hold of the blonde for a while longer, as he got both of them up to their feet, before he shoved Navi back to the corner.

She turned around, facing Drake with a neutral expression, her anger seemingly dissapated while she was in the hold. She took 2 deep breaths, before standing up from the corner, and putting her hand up, challanging Drake to a Test of Strength!

Drake had intended to pin her back into the corner and talk to her. But apparently she's regained control of herself too quickly for that. When she stands, she no longer has that full-on aggression he'd been taking advantage of, and she's halted her offense. This draws a half-smile to his face.

He closes in with her, hands raising to meet her hands, his palms pressing with hers, and fingers lacing together. "Stomach hurt?," he asks, those dark purple eyes never leaving her face. "Gotta ignore what the other person says. 'Cuz I bet..." He starts to lean into her. "...you're way more dangerous now."

Of course, he isn't going to just let her dominate now. She challenged him, so she's going to get the full experience. The streamlined muscle of his arms flex, his back arches, and he attempts to quickly and decisively overpower the blonde and force her right back into the turnbuckle, where he can hopefully restrain her arms over the ropes. Of course, a part of him expects this was a ruse, but he's giving her the benefit of the doubt.

With Drake accepting Navi's challange, the blonde's determined gaze met with Domino's, simply nodding in response to his question. There were times were simple brute strength and anger helped her through her matches. This was not one of these times. She couldn't allow Drake to get into her head like that. If she were to beat him, she had to be smart about it.

And, to support that theory, the much taller, raven-haired guy would manage to overpower the smaller blonde woman, despite all her strength, and start stepping back towards the corner she cleared her head at a few moments ago.

And no matter how hard she pushed back, Drake's strength was overwhelming her, with her struggles feeling like nothing more than pushing against a wall. It was time to switch the strategy once more.

Navi would kick at one hand of Drake's to break his grip on the blonde's left arm, focusing both her hands at twisting Drake's left arm in a wristlock!

She's playing it straight, Drake realizes. She's playing it straight, despite seeing that it's not going in her favor. Good on her. There's a certain nobility to that, and not one he lives up to all the time, himself. But before he can be too impressed with her, she appears to succumb to the temptations to change the game! It's not dirty, per se, and it doesn't make him see her negatively - he's just disappointed. Alas!

Well, disappointed and aching.

He finds his arm twisted in a wristlock, teeth gritting. He attempts to quickly capitalize on their surroundings, swinging his free hand at the ropes. It all depends on how close to the turnbuckle he'd walked her before she switched things out!

"Been a while.. since anyone did that..!"

Almost on instinct, Drake tried to swing for the ropes, in order to break Navi's hold, before she transitioned to something a lot more dangerous.

"Probably...not this though!", Navi would remark as she tried to pull Domino closer to her, releasing his arm and getting behind his back to trap her sparring partner in a waistlock!

From there, Navi would attempt to heave Drake up and over her head, trying to slam him neck and shoulder first into the mat for a German Suplex, returning the favour for the one he did at the start of their match!

His attempt to grab the rope is fruitless, though a part of him is curious if Melody would call it on her friend. She's been playing it cool, but she has to be enjoying this at least a little, he thinks. Of course, not because she'd be getting all hot and bothered - she made it clear that she's not attracted to anything, bizarre as that seems to him - but on some emotionally-validated level.

But then, Navi's doing this for Navi, too. Maybe even moreso. What a weird circumstance.

Her arms wind around his middle from behind, and he immediately grabs for her wrists. It's a little too late, however, as the girl bridges back to suplex him into the mat! Realizing he's still inverted, Drake's legs kick out to try to topple them before anything more can happen, hopefully dropping him to his side.

If Drake thought that Melody was enjoying this out of "revenge" that he beat her before, he would be wrong. Melody was enjoying the spar for all the different reasons, eager to see whether Navi could beat Drake, or the black-haired wrestle proving to her friend that she still had a lot to learn before the Middleweight Title tourney, being happy for either outcome occuring.

Due to that, she kept a close eye on Drake's hand, as it was millimeters away from the rope. Once the hand visibly touched it, Melody would've called for a break...

...but, Navi was clever enough to see what Drake wanted to do, quickly transitioning to a waistlock, and hurling Drake through the air with a Bridging German Suplex!

Melody was half-ready to drop to her knees to administer the count, but Navi didn't want to keep it in, nor was Drake going to stay in that position for too long.

Quickly releasing Drake, Navi got back to her feet, rushed towards the ropes for a rebound, and jumped into the air, aiming her back right at Domino's spine or midsection, depending on how he was going to turn!

Drake no longer has time to wonder about the ethical leanings of Melody - though his feelings aren't at stake either way on the matter. His feelings are at stake when it comes to Navi, though. Perhaps not emotional feelings, but the literal feelings that tend to spring up when someone is slammed down to a mat with force. You know, feelings like pain.

Drake rolls onto his back with a groan, but is quick to recover. Their bout is early yet, despite having worked her over before, and there's plenty of pep left in his step. But momentum seems to be on the blonde's side, as before he can even twist away, her back lands squarely across his midsection. "Hff..!" He folds around her briefly before flopping back down onto the mat.

With Navi's Senton finding it's mark, the blonde smirked as she made her way back to her feet. Cooling down, even a tiny bit, was definitely helping her in the long run against Drake. If she continued like this for a while longer, it was only a matter of time till Domino would fall.

And a thing that might help with that was putting on pressure on certain body parts of her opponent, like his back. As such, right as she stood up, she quickly took a hold of Drake's legs, before attempting to turn him on his stomach. If successful, Navi would trap Drake in a Boston Crab! With the hold in place Melody would make quick way to Drake's front, to ensure she had Drake's hand and face within her vision!
