Clara Gaster vs Izuku Midoriya - Heroic Shadow

Punches were a crude way to counter, Clara believed. They were common enough in American wrestling to have become a valid for of attack, but her teacher was an old-timey wrestler, who encouraged her against these tactics. Still, as she trained with Kay, the two women pretty much exchanged moves from one another's style, Kay starting to learn more holds, while Clara knew a proper way to throw a strike.

And she couldn't deny that, in a bind such as this, it worked a treat. Deku eased the facelock enough so that Clara could slip her head from underneath Izuku's arm.

To wind her rival down a bit more, Clara would wound up her arm, trying to nail it across Deku's chest for a Knife Edge Chop!

Deku groaned softly as he leaned forward from the punch to his stomach, momentarily breathless for a moment as he tried to regain his barings. But Gaster wasn’t going to allow him much of a chance too. Before he could think he felt a sharp pain erupt in his chest from a hard chest chop courtesy of his rival. ”Agh!” He yelled leaning back, his senses shooting awake from the sharp stinging pain. “Ngh... damn.” He said under his breath as he stumbled back a few steps from the blow.

With her chop taking the wind out of Deku successfully, Clara nodded positively...though the chop failed to take her foe off his feet.

To rectify that, Clara would rush towards the ropes for a rebound, assuming that Izuku had enough wind pushed out of him to be stunned for a few moments. On her way back, she jumped upwards and forwards, aiming her legs straight for her rival's chest for a hard Dropkick!

Deku was still bent over dry heaving a bit from the breathlessness caused by that initial punch to the gut. ”Ugh....” He groaned out softly in pain, normally a gut punch was something he could have recovered from by now. But his opponet had added onto it by sending a chop to his chest making him wince and removing any air he had regained and leaving him stunned. Looking up he was left totally vulnerable as soon his opponet came in driving her feet into his chest with a drop kick! “Gah!” He yelled out in pain as he flew back before colliding back first with the mat, groaning in pain as he laid back first on the mat. Totally vulnerablenfor whatever gaster may try next!

With Deku getting hit hard with a quick flurry of moves, Clara was satisfied with herself. The match was firmly in her favor and she was planning to keep it that way. To that extent, she grabbed Izuku by his legs, and dragged him back into the middle of the ring. From there, she spun her rival around as she sat in a half-crouch, trapping her rival in a Boston Crab!

Deku groaned softly with a grimace on his face as he laid on his back following that last dropkick from Gaster. He hadn’t expected to pull out such good striking offense, let alone in such rapid succession. But she had and now he was stunned on his back, the one place he wanted to avoid the entire start of the match. Now however it apperared it was for nought as the former sahdow lord loomed over him! Feeling his legs grabbed his eyes widened in shock, knowing what was coming, but it was too late. Before he knew it he was on his stomach, legs and back being arched for a boston crab! ”Agh!!!” Deku yelled in pain immediately, his first instinct being to claw at the mat, attempting to pull himself to the ropes for a rope break!

Boston Crab was a move that was easily locked in, but as a very good example of give and take, it was also very difficult to keep control of. It could be easily reversed as well as the ropes always being a valid way out. This is what Deku would do, clawing his way to the ropes, as the Shadow Lord applied as much a strain on his spine as she could to make the match more difficult for him going forward.

Eventually, he got his arm over a rope...and for a split second, a thought crossed Clara's mind to not let go. To keep working the spine over, and get a further advantage. She had a full count of 4, didn't she?

She shook her head. It wasn't right, she felt, releasing the hold a second after referee noticed the break, letting Deku recover thanks to the break.

‘She really is amazing.’ Deku thought to himself as he fought tooth and nail the entire way to the corner, desperate to get that rope break. He knew Gaster was great at technical wrestling, but to get so much milage and pain out of such a basic move was incredible. Even if he was the one she was using to demonstrate this. But thankfully his fortitude paid off and he managed to grab the bottom rope for a rope break which thankfully Gaster released the moment the ref saw. Sighing in relief Deku put his knees under him and used the ropes to assist him in getting fully to his feet. Turning he looked over at Gaster and nodded to her, appreciating she had released the hold so quickly. But he would also lift his hands up in preperation for when she would come back st him.

So far, the match wasn't too difficult for Clara, having answer to mostly everything Deku has had against her. She was still cautious about the match. After all, a small slip up in attention at any time would mean the end of her in the match!

Clara would be ready for Izuku the moment he was up, motioning to lock up with the greenette once more...only to instead try and target his arm, latching onto his right with both her hands, trying to twist it with a wristlock!

Deku groaned softly still a bit tneder from that submission hold Clara had managed to put him in. ‘That was a basic one, I’d hate to see what she can do with something more elaborate.’ He thought to himself as he stood up and approached her once more, recognizing her stance as a grappling. Narrowing his eyes Deku knew he had to be careful, after all it was from a grapple that that led to him being locked in that boston crab before.

Taking a deep breath as he approached Deku knew he needed to start playing to his strengths if he was to overcome Clara. As he approached her he raised his hand and gripped the british girl’s only for her to immediately get him in a wristlock. Wincing slightly Deku knew he didn’t have time to lose, trying to reverse the wrist lock he attempted to pull the girl in and if successful, throw his leg up to drive his kmee into her gut!

But that wouldn’t be all, cause Deku would hold knto her hand and upon planting both feet on the mat he would turn sharply and pull Clara’s arm over his shoulder. If this worked than Deku would attempt to bring the girl up and over him and onto the mat with a judo style shoulder throw!
