[High Speed Match] Lily Menage vs Phoebe Justice - Fast and furious

Given the limited amount of time they were given for this match, Lily tried to act as prudently as possible. The dropkick helped her knock down her opponent's breath, but it was clearly not enough. Yet, what she has in mind should open up an opportunity for her to consolidate the lead in the match.

When the Black Crow's knee crashed into Phoebe's head, the brunette let out a painful scream, and the faces of some viewers distorted from the realization of how much it must hurt. The American woman began to fall face down, so Lily took a step back, still holding her opponent's wrists.

As Phoebe sprawled on the mat, Lily took a few more steps back, pulling her opponent away from the ropes. As soon as the job was done, the Black Crow immediately headed for the nearest corner. Grabbing the top ropes, she intended to make two consecutive jumps up, thereby ending up on the top turnbuckle.

Accompanied by the increasing noise from the audience, the Black Crow was going to turn to face Phoebe, and then make a leap forward. Moving her right elbow to the side, she intended to land on Phoebe's shoulder blades and thereby literally smash her into the mat with a diving elbow drop, which she considered her signature move and to which she gave another name, the crow's feather!

In a fast paced match like this, a single error could cost either competitor an entire match. This was something that Phoebe was painfully discovering on herself, as she was left with an aching head, hurting body, and flickering vision.

But even in her stunned state, Phoebe could tell her opponent was up to something. She was neither pinning nor trying to make her submit with a hold. Given that this wasn’t a hardcore match, she wouldn’t use this time to get a weapon either…

”…ropes…”

Phoebe listened carefully, through the anticipated cheers of the fans. She could hear the creaking of the ropes, under Lily’s weight…

…and heard a second, louder creak as she jumped!

At that point, Phoebe rolled off to the side, trying to avoid Lily’s top rope move to buy herself some time!

Lily had a brilliant mathematical mind. Those who knew this often wondered why the Englishwoman chose pro wrestling instead of the prestigious job of a scientist. It was simple enough. Mathematics never aroused emotions in her, unlike pro wrestling. However, Lily didn't need math and complicated calculations right now, even without that, it seemed obvious to her that her opponent wouldn't be able to avoid her next attack.

Therefore, the Black Crow soared into the air, intending to crush her opponent, and then try to take the victory in the match. But although the success of her attack seemed inevitable, in the last split second Phoebe rolled away, leaving the brunette no time to try to group up. Lily collapsed onto the mat, causing the whole ring to shudder.

“Gggmmhhh...” she groaned through her closed lips.

She never talks during the match. But even the almost complete absence of emotions did not mean that she did not feel pain. Collapsing on the mat, the brunette immediately grabbed her right triceps, because it was this part of her body that was most filled with agony right now. Barely restraining her groans, the Black Crow closed her eyes, trying to calm her mind, although now it was far from the easiest task.

With Phoebe rolling out of the way at just the right moment, she managed to avoid her rival’s powerful attack, leaving her reeling over the failure of her risky maneuver. Her head was still woozy, but at least she found strength to get back up to her feet.

Lily was still nursing her arm, showing to Phoebe that she likely went for an Elbow Drop off the top rope. Using this opportunity to strike, Phoebe rushed forward, jumping right in front of Lily to flip backwards in the air, trying to ram her body into her back with a Running Shooting Star Press!

In addition to the pain in her triceps, Lily also had breathing problems. She was very proud of the results she had achieved in endurance, but after such a hard fall, it was difficult for her to breathe normally. Because of this, her pace was off and she was distracted, forgetting that since her opponent was able to find the strength to evade her attack, then she would surely find the strength for her own attack too.

Unfortunately, Lily realized this too late. And the moment she opened her eyes and turned her head to the side to find out where Phoebe was, the American woman had already pushed off the mat. In another situation, the Black Crow might have given her opponent her due, because not everyone is able to do a backflip in this way. But she had other worries, namely two knees slammed into her back.

"GGGGHHH!!!!!" She let out a scream through clenched teeth.

It was painful. Painful as hell. Rolling onto her back, Lily arched involuntarily. The thought even flew through her head that she had heard the crunch of her spine and only cold logic told her that it was not so, it was just the pain she was experiencing after her opponent's unusual attack.

As Phoebe’s attack landed, she immediately rose up back to her feet, shooting for the ropes. Adrenaline shot all throughout her body, allowing her to ignore the pain, instead her body and mind forcing her to focus on attacking Lily with swift and powerful attacks, in order to take her down before the time limit expired!

Rushing for the ropes, she would practically run up them, from the bottom to the second…before finally stepping onto the top, and flipping off of it. Phoebe aimed herself carefully, trying to land on top of her bigger rival with a Springboard Moonsault!

Even her composure wasn't enough to deal with the pain that filled her back after Phoebe's attack. Lily wouldn't say that she underestimated the American woman, but she didn't expect Phoebe to be so resilient and fast. Only few people could match the Black Crow in speed, because even among the members of Victoria's team, she was considered one of the fastest on a par with Nerissa and even Charlotte.

Speaking of speed. After two tough and no doubt successful attacks, Phoebe wasn't going to waste any time. Instead of getting Lily, who was lying on her back, to her feet, the American woman abruptly ran to the ropes. Without stopping, she pushed off first from the bottom rope, then from the middle rope, ending up on the top one.

"Mind prevails over matter..." Lily told herself in her head. "So move, Black Crow."

Her back still felt like it was chained, but the moment Phoebe pushed off the top rope, the Englishwoman held her breath to suppress the pain. And just before Phoebe was about to collapse on top of her, Lily abruptly pulled her legs up to her chest, thereby creating a platform that was supposed to provide Phoebe with a much harder landing than she had expected.

Thinking her foe was still stunned, Phoebe went for a fast, risky, but powerful move. As she soared through the air, Phoebe felt free of all the problems, free of the pain that Lily inflicted on her, as she slowly approached the ground…

…and subsequently landed stomach-first on Lily’s knees!

”GYAAAH!!!”

Phoebe practically bounced off her rival’s knees, falling to the ground nearby, hugging herself as she tried to wheeze air back into her body, her high risk maneuver ending with a crash!

“Grrrmmm!!" Lily groaned through her teeth the moment Phoebe landed on her knees.

It was painful. But it definitely wasn't as painful as her opponent's landing. Bouncing off Lily's knees, Phoebe collapsed onto the mat, unable to breathe properly. And although sweat was streaming down the Englishwoman's pale skin, she knew for sure that now she had to act as decisively as possible. Therefore, despite the pain, the Black Crow quickly turned over on her stomach, and then rose to one knee.

She intended to grab her opponent's head and pull her sharply towards her and up in order to close Phoebe in a front facelock hold. Lily took a quick glance at the titantron and, seeing that they had only half the allotted time left, hurried to her feet, forcing the American woman to get to her feet too.

Without a shadow of doubt, the brunette intended to pivot a hundred and eighty degrees, simultaneously grabbing Phoebe's head with both hands. If everything had gone off without a hitch, all she would have had to do was throw both legs forward in order to fall on her back and thereby drive Phoebe's head into the mat with her finisher, which some called a front facelock cutter, but which she called the crow's abyss!

Despite countering Phoebe’s move, Lily still took her time getting up. By the time her foe grabbed her head to pull her up, Phoebe could at least get some oxygen into her body, even if it got harder once Lily trapped Phoebe underneath her arm, no doubt setting up a powerful move…

…and the moment Lily turned around for the Cutter, Phoebe’s body felt like it acted on autopilot, as she grabbed the Crow’s shoulders, and dropped downwards, trying to drive her knees into her rival’s back for a counter Backbreaker!
