A Melodic Tune (for SubtleRoar)

While Lex put the food into the microwave, the silver haired man will act like a gentleman towards her, and pull out the chair for her to sit on:

"Oh...thank you!", she said with a slight surprised, still somewhat confused with Lex's change of nature.

And to answer his question: "Well...I usually go for a jog to the gym during this time...today, I took a different road than usual, and got here, not knowing the gym was a private one", she explained...

"Well, since you're here..." *As the beeper on the microwave interrupted his sentence, he was quick to act on it by ambling over towards it. While still fairly groggy from being up so early, he wasn't tired enough to forget to use a pair of oven mitts to handle the scolding hot plate. After slipping them on, he carefully carried it over to his house guest before sliding it directly in front of her.*

"Anyway, I haven't had the opportunity to slug it out with someone in quite some time." *He chuckled aloud, shooting Melody an intrigued grin.* "So, what's say you and I do a little sparring? I mean, not to sound too harsh, but given how you tried to sock me one with such a poor stance, you could use some polish."

"Hmm...", Melody would let out at Lex's offer. It was not a bad idea to try and spar with someone early on. She hadn't had a training match ever since her and Navi stopped speaking with one another...but one part of what he said confused her:

"Wait...stance? Polish in what?", she would say as she tried to grab one of the warm ribs on the plate to snag on it...

"Uh...okay, wow." *Utterly stunned at the unfettered ignorance that Melody brazenly displayed, Lex rolled his eyes while letting out a vexxed sigh. Clearly, Melody wasn't anywhere close to the level of novice, but miracles existed for a resson he supposed.*

"It means you're rusty. Think about it." *He gestured to his forehead by using his right hands index finger.* "You'd never let that sword of yours get rusty, right?"

She was confused even more at Lex's answer. Her "stance" needed work? It wasn't boxing that her stance was a problem. As long as she could recognize from her opponent's movement that they were going to attack, that wouldn't be an issue, right?

As such, she was slightly confused at why her stance of all things needed polishing:

"I mean...I wasn't in the ring for a while, but I don't think my stance would impact my wrestling much", she would answer.

"Without proper form, you will be easily overtaken, any ounce of momentum you have will be completely squandered, and seeing as how you don't seem to realize this as an issue, perhaps I should teach you why it's important..." *His sentence trailed off for a bit, before the silver-haired inventor stood to his feet and ambled towards the vacant ring.* "Myself." *He gestured towards it with a bit of a smarmy smirk.*

"So, how about it Mel? You, me, a few rounds. I know you've been chomping at the bit to take a swing at me since the last time we met." *Referencing something that felt like an eternity ago, Lex casually chuckled at the unusual past that both of them had shared together.*

From the way Lex was speaking, it sounded like he wanted to go a few rounds in a boxing spar with her, rather than a wrestling spar. Normally, for a wrestler, a boxing spar would be for nothing...

...but Melody's style was primarily based on striking. If what Lex said is true, by the time she was back into the ring, she was going to have a difficult time.

Finishing her rib, she nodded at Lex: "Alright. Lead the way..."

*Satisfied with how content Melody appeared to be with his proposition, Lex slid his chair out from under him and tentatively began to shuffle towards the vacant arena. Admittedly, he hadn't stepped between the ropes for what felt like ages; his last encounter wasn't precisely ideal, having lost to a rookie wrestler in a rather humiliating fashion, but he wasn't about to let that deter him from showing this stoic striker who was superior.*

"You'll need the exercise after devouring that gargantuan slab of meat anyway." *He casually tossed a bit of banter her way, seeing what he could coax out of her through some mild teasing. Lex ambled up the metallic steps before finally squatting down against the middle rope, allowing Melody to slip between the top and bottom ones with ease.* "Please, I insist; ladies first~"

Melody would follow Lex towards the ring of the gym, very satisfied with her breakfast as Lex lead the way.

"Hahaha, yeah...", Melody would chuckle at Lex's comment, as he politely opened the ropes for her, the greenette nodding at him in thanks.

Clad in grey yoga pants with a green outline through them, and a green sports top, Melody took a stance in a corner further away from Lex after putting on the gloves laying at the turnbuckle, ready to take him on!

*Silently observing how naturally graceful the taciturn blade of grass appeared to be, Lex couldn't wait to begin his little sparring session, showing his organic enthusiasm by hopping to his boots and ambling towards his designated corner.*

"So, be honest with be, when was the last time you did something like this?" *Fetching his bronze gauntlets, Lex wrapped them around his balled fists while maintaining eye contact with his partner for the day. He seemed intrigued by the notion of Melody picking up on whatever he could enlighten her with, but needed to know what type of pugilist he was dealing with.*

*Assuming a typical stance, legs shoulder length apart and arms tucked into his chest, the genius of the gems haven was prepared for anything Melody could throw his way.* "Ding ding~"
