History
From a young age, it was clear Tetsuya would have some problems growing up. An unnaturally quiet child, she learned to speak much later than most other children and always struggled to engage with her classmates, often being made fun of for her stuttering and shyness. Her parents tried to get her engaged in life and had her take ballet lessons in the hopes that it would brighten her spirits, and while she was gifted at it, she still remained a gloomy, morose child.
That changed when she met Mr. Mog. Sort of.
Tetsuya came across the doll when her parents were shopping at a garage sale. Mr. Mog spoke to her - and only her - introducing himself and starting up a conversation. He said that he was actually really old, and that he’d been stuck like this for a while, and that he couldn't move around without her help. He offered to be her friend if she would come back home with him, and she accepted, as she found him to be a comforting, funny presence.
Her parents didn’t think much of it at first, figuring it was just a child and her imaginary friend, but after Tetsuya brought Mr. Mog home, they began noticing some odd changes. Tetsuya grew increasingly rebellious, stealing things and ignoring their instructions at times, and would often stay up late talking with Mr. Mog. This behavior worsened at school, where she grew aggressive with the kids who used to bully her. She even kicked one particularly unruly bully in the face, knocking out a couple of her teeth.
They tried to get rid of the doll, but doing so made Tetsuya shockingly enraged and violent until they relented. They tried to get rid of it while she slept, but every time they did, she mysteriously had it again the next day.
