Punk and Rap Don't Mix

Modified Coffin Match
Winner must the place the loser in a dumpster and shut the lid to win. Fight takes place in a sealed alleyway with no way in or out. No other rules in place.

Honestly, what a breath of fresh air.

No, not the slightly stale air of Tokyo city as Tulli turned and spat her gum out into a hand and pressed it against a wall she walked past. She was meaning the metaphorical breath where the curtains of your upbringing are pushed aside to see the window outside. Tokyo had been a delight of new experiences after Tulli got past the initial impression. It seemed like a land so rigid in discipline that she feared taking up a year contract with LAW was a mistake. That she would be spending a year under the thumb of a conversative government that stepped on any scene that tried to let people live their own lives.

It took a bit, but Tokyo had pockets of people that were down with the system. It was just shoved underneath the carpet to make the room look orderly but it was there. Thank god it was there.

LAW wasn't that bad either. They had a long list of talent, like they were constantly chasing every gimmick under the sun, or so Tulli thought. She mused on that fact as she rounded the corner of clean street.

Too clean.

That made spots like this one she was arriving at, a gem of character in an otherwise characterless city. It made finding these spots hard and while she was tempted to not bring it up, she thought maybe broadcasting a bit of that in Tokyo worked on a few levels. One, it showed viewers that there was a scene here and two, it was openly bragging that Japan couldn't stop it. People would fight the rigid control of any government even if most of the population seemed onboard.

Ahead, Tulli gave a two-finger wave to an official waiting at the mouth of an alleyway. A TV crew was filming her. Back to LAW, it was interesting. They were okay with a lot. If you had an idea, might as well pitch it because it'll be something their writing staff can work with. Tulli had this idea and they went with it. Even found an opponent that seemed to fit.
Tulli

"All set then?" Tulli's eyes darted to the side, gesturing down the alley at the official, her voice carrying that Londoner accent. "Yes we are good here. Please." The official gestured into the alleyway.
Image
Oh yeah, this will do.

Though she might have preferred the dumpsters not to have garbage in them. The dumpster win condition wasn't even her idea. She just pitched a match that started here. "Thanks, Love."

She said stepping past the official and entering the urbanscape. A few concrete barriers narrowed the pass in to act as a barrier on the entrance but enclosed in by three walls and limited space meant that this was about the same space of a ring. Just no cushion on the ground.

Ouch. Wouldn't want to take a slam here but she could probably take it. Her opponent, however, who knows~

Hey, yo!” A voice came from on top of the barrier on the far wall, as a lone figure scrambled on top and stood tall, balancing on the edge. She carried a microphone in one hand and a portable speaker in the other, one that was already blasting out a
. She looked down at the arena and centered on her opponent, with a wide and wild smile. ”Better call me the cleaner, ‘cause I’m taking out the trash!”

had arrived and was making her presence known.

Despite having exactly zero wins in LAW, Yo-Yo was feeling good about this match. Things had been on the upswing in her personal life, having finally scored a real baddie with Cleo Ashbury. It was kind of crazy how just having some good sex could really improve your output in life, but the past few weeks had just sort of…clicked. She was getting better results in the gym, getting better with her techniques, showing some real improvements on her form. Just all in all feeling better.

Of course, things were rocky with her cousin, who was still hating on Cleo like crazy for beating her in that one match, but hey, that was her problem, not Yo-Yo’s. She was reaping all the benefits, and now she was about to cash in by scoring her first win in LAW, over this…

…who the fuck was this again?

Yo-Yo snickered as she looked down at Tulli. Homegirl looked like she’d went on a Hot Topic shopping spree. She shook her head and began pacing along the wall, taking care not to slip off and look like a dumbass. ”Ah, shit, look at Little Miss Two Chains. Came all this way to get her ass absolutely rocked by the one and only, the nastiest, the meanest, the baddest, the toughest, the Monster of the Underground, Queen Geedorah!”

Yo-Yo hopped off the wall, bounded off the dumpster, and landed just shy of Tulli. The momentum nearly made her stumble forward, but she caught herself at the last second and straightened up, coming face to face with her foe.

Taller. A bit bigger. But not really big. Not a heavyweight, no. She could take her down.

”Think you took a wrong turn somewhere, fishnets. The moshpit’s down the street. This here ain’t a concert, not a scrap at your trailer park. You’re stepping into a real fight with the realest fighter on the LAW roster, and you know what that entails?” She set the speaker down and began circling Tulli.

”Violence! Straight violence. I go straight for the neck, like killer bees. I’m gonna swarm all over you, bring you insides to your outside, leave you crying in a bloody ditch. Gonna rip that ugly ass mop-top off your scalp and clean this alley with it like a mop. Rearrange your spine and use your ribcage like a xylophone. Pull your fingernails off and make them into a necklace. Crack your teeth so bad you get dentures before you turn thirty. Rip those boots off you and shove up your ass so far they need the jaws of life to pull them back out. I’m talking about medieval shit, barbaric shit, shit they ain’t seen since men lived in caves. You hear me? I’m the Grim Fucking Reaper, and I’m here for your soul, you witch-bitch! I don’t mean that metaphorically, allegorically, metaphysically, conceptually or any other kind of way. You’re about to have the shortest career in LAW history! Whenever someone gets their ass beat in their debut from now on, they’re gonna say they got ‘Tullied’. You understand? You’re about to famous for all the wrong reasons, courtesy of QUEEN GEEDORAH!””

Yo-Yo spun about with her arms raised, wishing there was an actual crowd for her to be cheered by. Still, it wasn’t about the fanfare, it was about getting herself amped up, and she definitely was now. Blood pumping, heart racing, she felt ready to take on the world.

Hey, yo!”

Tulli's gaze lifted to the figure who suddenly sprang to life in what would have been a lonely alley. A portable speaker in tow, the woman had a steady stream of music already blasting. Not exactly fair she got the music, Tulli didn't exactly prepare to bring her own equipment like this woman did. Then the line with the trash came out. Perfect.

The Brit lifted her gloved hands to her side with a smile. That had been the most obvious line of banter you could throw here but she loved lines like that. They were a little like a guilty pleasure. "Lovely." She purred in her accent, voice running smooth. She let her opponent do her thing. The way she talked big already was going to make the match sweeter. She loved trash talkers, because they only ever got a mouth full of dirt once the punches started to fly. It was rather satisfying.

Whatever aura Queen Geedorah was farming, dropped the moment the little stunt off of the wall and dumpster made her stumble. "Oh, mind the gap there." She stated but the smaller woman kept going and tried to act like it was nothing.

That's when Geedorah began to roll into her little hype exercise.

You know, for a gimmick, Tulli liked this one. It was creative and had passion for it. The lines sounded good enough, but she wasn't much of a rap person. Still, it was at least original and it garnered at least some respect. Respect that maybe Tulli wasn't going to completely trash Geedorah instantly here, but maybe the match would have some legs. Honestly, the producers putting on the match knew how to pick them but Tulli didn't know Gee's record here. She didn't look like a winner, but who knows.

When her opponent finished, Tulli offered a gloved clap. "You done hyping yourself up, Love, because it'll be a lark if you go through all that and then some to not give a good show." Her gaze shifted for a moment quizzical. "What even is a 'Queen Geedorah' anyway? Bit of a mouthful and you'll need something to say through broken teeth that is a little easier. Gee or Dorah because I'm not going to be calling you Queen at any point~"

Tulli extended a hand out to Yo-Yo's direction. "Well let the best one win and all that. Right?" It was stated plainly like any offer but laced with poison as the moment that hand was taken, Tulli would yank Dorah in for slicing knee to the stomach if she was dense enough to think this was going to be an honorable fight.

It wasn't.

It was, as Gee called it, going to be a blood bath.

Queen Geedorah didn't know a damn thing about Tulli, but she was a fast learner, and she was already picking up some key details, just from the way she was talking.

First off, she was British. Or Scottish. Or Irish. Honestly, she wasn’t too familiar on the difference with the accents, so she couldn’t say for sure, but she knew the woman was from one of those snotty UK places. Tea and crumpets and haggis and those weird blue phone booths. She’d never thrown hands with anyone from there before, but she wasn’t too scared at the prospect. From what she heard, they were all talk.

Second off, she was a smart ass. Yo-Yo picked up that little comment after she came down off the dumpster, and now she was throwing a little shade back at her. She wasn’t sure what a ‘lark’ was, exactly, but whatever it was, it gave her the distinct impression that this woman was taking her seriously. She’d fix that, right quick.

Second off, she was a bitch. She carried herself like a bitch. Had that bitch look at her, that bitchy way of moving. She even smelled like a vintage, and Yo-Yo could sniff that out even over the dumpster’s stench. It was prime bitch. Vintage bitch.

”Don’t know the name? Don’t worry.” She tossed the microphone away as she stood at Tulli’s front and leaned in. ”You’re going for a stay at the hospital. Look it up while you’re laying on your back.”

Yo-Yo was about to open her mouth for another insult when Tulli stuck her hand out, looking for a handshake. Was she this dense, really? It was taking real effort for her to not laugh at it. But okay, if the woman wanted to make this easy for her, she wasn’t going to complain.

Yo-Yo grabbed the hand, pulled Tulli in, and drove her knee in the woman’s stomach.

At the same time as Tulli was doing the same to her.

They came out at about the same time, so close it almost looked like they rehearsed it, but this was where Tulli’s size came into things. That longer leg hit first, had more impact, and it was enough to send the smaller Yo-Yo flying. Her back crashed against the dumpster and she bounced forward, stumbling so bad that she almost fell on her ass.

But Yo-Yo didn’t stop there. Instead, she came rushing forward, closing the distance on Tulli right away, hoping to get in her range. As soon as she was close enough, she ducked down low, then rose up quick and brought her right fist flying in from the side, trying to clock Tulli in the face with a hook.

The moment Yo-Yo's hand grabbed hers, she pulled and Yo-Yo pulled. The maneuver going off simultaneously for both had resulted in an unexpected outcome of both parties delivering and taking the hit. Tulli had the height, sure, her knee connected first and that probably saved her from a horrid reaction as her opponent's knee got a grazing hit into the center of her stomach. There wasn't much penetration as Tulli's hit had sent her opponent soaring back in a stumble back towards the dumpster.

Oh, this was going to be fun.

Tulli mused as she was ready for her opponent whose stumble turned into a rush forward in an attempt to jump the Brit. Tulli was ready, though, and swung a closed fist right at the other woman's jawline in a bid to lay her out fla-ducked!

Damn.

That would have hurt as Tulli's arm swung overhead of her opponent. This might have caught her flatfooted if this was her first brawl but she knew how shorties liked to fight. She planted several into the pavement back in London and they always seem to try their luck with one move after ducking.

With a click of her tongue, Tulli threw her torso back in a bend, head tilting back to gain every inch of space as that closed fist came swinging around. The arm that hadn't punched earlier for the Brit reached and pushed at the other woman's ribs to utilize the reach to just narrowly avoid the slug. The fist slicing the air just before her jaw in a near miss!

"Close~" Cocking a smile, Tulli coiled her fingers that had pushed on Yo-Yo's side, grabbing a handful of that yellow jacket and pulling her opponent forward to where Tulli planned on making a statement. Her torso bent forward and head tilted to present her forehead as she aimed for the most metal headbutt she could conjure. Something that should make the rapper see a few stars!

Not even ten seconds into the fight and the height thing was already becoming a problem. Not a good sign, there.

For a lot of wrestlers, that might not have been too big of a problem - they would’ve just got in close and did their wrestling thing, throwing Tulli all over the place. But that sort of thing wasn’t really Yo-Yo’s style. While she’d been training and was getting better at that technical shit, she was still pretty much a street fighter at the end of the day. She did her best work with fists, but those fists needed to reach her opponent first, and so far she wasn’t having too much luck with that.

Her counterpunch was fucking on point, but so were Tulli’s ducking skills, it seemed. She went low, let the blow sail overhead, and Yo-Yo found herself off-kilter for a crucial moment, one that the Brit wasn’t letting get away from her. Her jacket was grabbed, she was pulled forward fast, and-

CRACK!

A headbutt. Or what Yo-Yo assumed was a headbutt with her aching, addled brain. Whatever happened, it left her seeing stars, literal damn stars, as she went stumbling away on wobbly legs, once again finding her back against the dumpster.

This time there was no bouncing back, she was way too dazed for it. But that didn’t mean she was defenseless. Even through her haze as she leaned on the dumpster for support, she slipped her hand into her jacket and felt around, wrapping her hand around something cold and metal.

She kept her position, waiting for Tulli to move in, then she went into action. Yo-Yo brought the spray can out and swiped it around, sending out a red blast of paint in the direction she imagined Tulli’s face was.

CRACK!

Ouch.

Not for Tulli. She had head banged and headbutted all her life. Not even the brim of Yo-Yo's hat was an obstacle as the hat flipped off of Queen Geedorah's head and left nothing else in the way of the connecting heads. Tulli straightened, releasing her opponent and letting that gloved hand rub a little at her forehead. "Ouch, you need a moment, truly?" The Brit mocked as she saw her opponent's head spin in the wobble that was her reaction. She had no intentions of actually Gee any of that time to recover and began to step forward, grinning like a shark about to seize upon a seal.

Her lips curved inward in thought as she thought of what to do next. Yo-Yo didn't way a lot, she could be slammed into the pavement with ease and that would only start putting nails in the preverbal coffin for this match. Fun thought.

She mulled that over just as she reached out towards her opponent. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected twist in this. Tulli had thought she had Dorah pinned with what she was like. What she didn't expect was that there was a good chance that Yo-Yo had contributed her own tag somewhere in here earlier and that can of spray paint was completely unexpected.

The point-blank blast to the face caught Tulli completely unaware. Particulate got her eyes causing her to gasp, inhaling the spray from the sudden burst! Tulli staggered back, ducking her head to the side to get it out of the blast but the damage had been done. All that unnatural matter in that can scratched at her throat and mouth, burned her lungs. She coughed and gagged as she now stumbled back all the way to the alleyway wall. Her rear bounced against the concrete as her torso was bent forward still coughing and spitting.

"The fuck?" She spurt out in between coughs. "Fucking cheat!"

To be fair, Tulli didn't mind cheater but she did mind when it was against her!

People were always asking why Yo-Yo wore her big damn jacket all over the place. Aside from it being comfy, it also had the benefit of big pockets, and she could stash all sorts of stuff in them - in this case, her spray cans.

She hadn't even brought it along for the express purpose of blinding Tulli, that was just how things were turning out. She’d intended to tag the bitch once the match was over, a sort of coup de grace, but they worked well enough in a pinch.

Plus, it was fucking funny.

”Gotcha, bitch!” Even though she was still reeling from the headbutt, Yo-Yo managed to snicker as Tulli went away in a coughing fit, dealing with the red mist working its way into her lungs. It wouldn’t be anything close to fatal; Yo-Yo knew that from personal experience. But that same personal experience also told her it would be weeks before Tulli’s taste buds returned to normal. The few meals she had were going suck.

As funny as it was to watch her opponent wallowing, Yo-Yo knew she couldn't let this opportunity pass her by. She shook her head, cleared the last few cobwebs, and rushed forward at full tilt. With Tulli attending to her face, her stomach was wide open, and that's where she targeted it as she brought her leg up and tried to kick a field goal right on her opponent’s belly button.
