Battle of the Immortals: Daughters of Athena vs Divine Stars

“Is that all you got? Don’t tell me you’re going to throw in the towel already!” Korina taunted as she cranked up the pressure on the other woman’s spine. So far, the match had gone mostly in the sisters favor and the former footballer looked to keep up the momentum. The crowd still seemed split on who they were supporting. Some were chanting for Korina to make her opponent tap. Others were chanting for Kate to not give up. It was still early in the match so Korina wasn’t sure that she’d really be able to get a submission at this point, but at the very least she could wear her opponent down.

Kate could hear her opponents' taunts as the pressure continued to build up. "Gah... you really think... this is... enough... to make me... tap... you... got a lot.. to learn." said the Divine Star in a defiant tone. She would continue to pull herself closer and closer to the ropes. Each inch she took made the pain get worse, but Kate had been in similar spots in the past. The Divine Star would stretch out her arms and grab the ropes, earning herself a rope break.

Nate had been watching the whole thing and was growing frustrated. We wanted to do something, interfere or get into the fight, but the match was still a bit early on. He would continue to bide his time, but if things kept going south, he was going to act soon.

Korina continued to work over the younger woman’s spine with the Boston Crab even as Kate crawled closer to the ropes. Korina didn’t feel the need to try and stop her, opting to let her opponent expend energy in her struggle. She felt herself getting pulled across the ring until the referee called for Korina to break the hold, indicating that Kate had managed to grab the bottom rope.

Korina complied, dropping Kate’s legs and getting off of her opponent. She stepped back a bit while she waited for the younger woman to get back up. Then she charged forward, throwing her leg out for a Bicycle Kick.

Kate managed to get to the ropes and earned herself the rope break. Finally being released, Kate would exhale; her back was killing her at the moment, but at least it wasn't getting any worse. The Divine Star would use the ropes to get back to her feet, wanting to get back into the fight.

Nate, on the other hand, decided to take action. He would run to one of the neutral turnbuckles before climbing a step, slapping his hands together and yelling Kate's name. He would then run back to his turnbuckle and do the same thing. He kept repeating the process a few times, trying to get the crowd to Kate's side.

The female Divine Star then saw Korina coming at her for a bicycle kick. She would side-step out of the way, letting her fellow goddess's leg get caught in the rope before moving behind her to get her waist. If she managed to do so, she would attempt to lift her up and then fall back for a german suplex.

While Korina was setting up the Bicycle Kick, her attention was drawn to the only male participant of the match going back and forth between the turnbuckles and shouting his partner’s name. It seemed as though he was trying to rally the crowd behind her. It did seem to be working as most of the crowd was now chanting for Kate.

Korina put that out of her mind and charged forward for the kick. However, Kate moved out of the way at the last second, leaving Korina’s leg to get caught up in the rope. The former footballer managed to free her leg without much issue, but that gave the younger woman time to get behind her, wrap her arms around her waist, and lift her up for a suplex.

“Argh!” Korina cried out as she was sent crashing down to the canvas.

Kate managed to dodge the kick and get behind her opponent. She managed to wrap her arms around her fellow divine's stomach and pushed her chest up against her back. Then she lifted Korina before falling back and letting gravity do its work. With that, her opponent crashed into the canvas, and Kate would release her. The Divine Star back was still hurting, but she would get back on her feet.

Nate was now back at his turnbuckle, watching the entire thing. He would give some applause before then extending his hand out for a tag. Seeing her chance, Kate would tag him in. Now the legal wrestler, Nate, would climb the turnbuckle while Kate would move to grab Korina, trying to force her back to her feet and then lift her in the air before dropping her down onto her knee for an atomic drop. If the move was successful, Nate would follow it up with a missile drop kick, a quick combination move.
