I can't believe that worked!

Austin quickly rolled away to safety and hopped back to his feet, shaking his head to dispel the dizziness. When he noticed Bast blinking away his kick, Austin immediately jumped into action.

Bouncing off the ropes behind him to give his body more velocity, Austin barreled towards his opponent on the far side of the ring. If that last kick knocked her aside like that, she's gonna HATE this...

He raised his leg at the last moment--now at full speed--and aimed his boot at Bast's knee-high face: his attempt to superkick the powerful woman to the mat.

Bast took the hit - a solid hit - and it pushed her off balance just enough to sell the moment. But now, as she blinked away the sting of Austin’s last kick, she saw him coming for her again.

She watched him bounce off the ropes and come her way with full speed. Her heart raced - from fear? No. Thrill. It had been a good little while since she’d taken on a man with this much energy. She doubted Cersei would share her enthusiasm, though.

At the last second, he raised his leg, his boot aimed straight for her face as she crouched near knee-height. A superkick. He meant to knock her flat to the mat, to take down the powerful woman who had been holding her own against him. She raised her arm, tried to block, but she was a second too late to form a solid guard - his foot crashed into her jaw and brought her back down again, crashing hard on her back.

Well, Austin thought as he caught his breath for a fraction of a second, that worked better than I hoped. Better capitalize on this...

Austin ran to the nearest ring corner and quickly flew to the top turnbuckle. He felt on top of the world--a panther ready to drop from a tree onto unsuspecting prey--as he fully stood on the top rope staring down at Bast slowly returning to her feet.

Time to go night-night, Bast! Austin leapt into the air the moment Bast was fully standing, sending his body towards his opponent. He pulled his legs up slightly, and aimed to hit Bast with his finisher: Total Blackout, a hurricanrana attempt from the top rope!

Bast would concede that this was hardly her proudest moment. Austin was proving to be a more troublesome opponent than she had expected him to be, giving her a reasonable degree of trouble, and he had managed to get a good advantage over her.

But was she defeated? No. Far from it.

As she made her way back up, she still had the presence of mind to realize that her opponent was up to something, and she could see right away what the plan was - he went flying off the turnbuckle, wrapped his legs around her head, and tried to pull her off balance with a wild hurricanrana. A brave move...

…but futile.

Instead of being flipped over, Bast planted her feet and stopped Austin halfway through the motion, holding him aloft. After a moment, she lifted him back up, kicked her legs out and brought him down hard into the canvas with a devastating sit-out powerbomb.

There are many different "famous last words" that still ring throughout history. As Polonius exclaimed in Shakespeare's Hamlet, for example: "Ah, I am slain!"

Another famous "last" set of words was uttered by the Roman emperor Vespasian, keenly aware that the Senate would deify him upon his death: "Woe, I think I am becoming a god." These were not his last words, but instead "An emperor ought to die standing," but the latter lacks the wit of the former, and so is better remembered today.

And what clever words did Austin choose as the time of his death rapidly approached? What sentence did Austin utter, that his legend might stand the test of time and last a thousand-thousand years?

"Oh SHIT!"

His lungs fully evacuated as his back landed HARD on the mat. Bast had clearly put all her power into this strike, and Austin keenly felt it. He only narrowly avoided blacking out, but he might as well have gone night-night then and there. His body was already giving his brain notice that it was henceforth going on strike for an indeterminate amount of time, too. "Inhumanely dangerous working conditions," the slip said.

A low "Uhhhhhhh...." dribble from Austin's lips, and his vision tunneled into walls of gray. He thought he could feel his legs over Bast's shoulders, but he wasn't certain. In fact, he probably wasn't even going to remember this portion of the fight tomorrow....

”Yes!”

Cersei jumped for joy when Bast brought Austin crashing into the canvas, a moment she almost instantly regretted. The high-heeled boots she had on today were really not made for athletics of any kind, and she stumbled when she landed, awkwardly twisting her ankle. Thankfully, all eyes were on the rign at the moment, and rightfully so - the crowd was being treated to a spectacle.

It wasn’t often - not often enough - that Cersei got to watch her sister showing so much overwhelming power all at once, but it was certainly a treat. The man, to his credit, had put up more of a fight than she ever would’ve expected, but there was only so long a fly could flit about before it was squashed. It seemed his luck had run out.

But they could do better. ”Again!” Cersei slapped the apron. ”Give him another!”

For a second, it seemed as if Bast might very well do that, she stood up and began to raise his legs, but Cersei’s hopes were dashed as she pushed forward on her knees and proceeded to fold Austin up, going for the pinfall instead. The referee was quick to slide in, going for the count. ”1…!”
