Chika Igarashi vs. Valley Doll III - Hardcore Matches For Dummies

To be fair, this probably wasn’t as impressive as Valerie was making it look. While Chika went flying with a fair bit of momentum, it wasn’t as if she had all that much weight to start with. Catching her wasn’t easy, sure, but she’d managed to hulk up heavier things in her short time as a wrestler, and this was far from her greatest feat.

Even so, the crowd seemed more than a little impressed with it, and after the beating she’d been taking Valerie couldn't lie: It felt good.

More importantly, it put her opponent in a prime pinning position, which she promptly took advantage of. With her body draped over Chika’s chest, she pulled the elder wrestler’s leg up, leaned in, and went for the pinfall as the referee slid in beside them to start it up. ”1…!”

With Chika's back slammed into the ground from a very disadvantageous position, the Joshi was easy pickings for her blonde foe. With her counter, Valley would swiftly move into position to try and pin the Raven Knight!

"ONE!"

"TWO! NO!"

Right at the two count, Chika would grit her teeth, throwing her hand up into the air to kick out!

And she kicked out. Not exactly the surprise of the century, but disappointing, all the same.

Valerie shuffled to the side after she did, taking a moment to catch her breath after the kickout. She was still reeling from her little trip outside the ring, and she was quite sure she didn’t want to go out there again, if she could get away with it. She needed to keep it between the ropes, keep it about skill.

More than anything, she needed to keep the pressure up, lest Chika snatch the momentum again. With her foe still reeling, she reached around her opponents neck and pulled her in, slapping on a sleeperhold while she began to rise, standing up and choking her foe along the way.

Chika kicked out, and was given a brief reprieve. Valerie did not get unscathed during their brawl outside of the ring. As much as Chika hated to admit it, she might've needed to utilize the advantages provided by the match to the fullest to win. Val has been trying to keep the match as clean as possible despite the stipulation, but surprisingly, already, the younger woman was more than keeping up with her in the ring. She had to try to make this match hardcore to ensure she could defeat Val...

As if to prove her point, the blonde would immediately trap the Joshi in a sleeper hold as she tried to get back up to her feet, digging her arms under her head to try and wear her out...or worse, knock her out!

"Gggghh..." Chika would let out, rolling from side to side, trying to gather momentum...before trying to roll towards the ropes! The ropes wouldn't get her a break in this match...however, she could still get to the edge of the ring to get both of them outside to escape the hold!

Valerie clenched the hold in tight, nice and secure, and powered down on Chika’s neck, exerting the maximum amount of pressure on the older woman. To her credit, she showed her toughness through and through, fighting back hard and making her earn this. Her grit was admirable, certainly, and she took it as something to look up to, taking on a younger, stronger opponent without a hint of reservation.

But she was still going to bring Chika down, respect or not. She just needed a few more seconds, and she could finish this, just a few more…

Chika wasn’t going down easy, however - in fact, it didn’t seem like she was going down at all, at least not figuratively. Valerie was still holding on tight when the woman went into a desperate roll one that took them to the edge of the ring. She tried to stop their momentum, but with her legs in the position they were, it was too late - they went off the edge and came down for a hard crash on the floor, one that was enough to dislodge Valerie.

She flopped over to her back and hissed as she rubbed her shoulder. The fall hadn't dislocated it, but came close from the feeling, leaving a numbing sensation up and down her arm.

Chika continued struggling in the sleeper hold, trying her damnest to roll the two of them, to get them outside of the ring to make the fall break the hold. With some effort, after a good few seconds, her idea would bear fruit, as she rolled the two of them outside of the ring, making Valley Doll take the brunt of the fall!

Instantly, Valley released her, with Chika using the few free seconds she had to drag herself away from the blonde, using the nearby barricade to prop herself back up. The blood rushed back to her head, creating a feeling of dizziness as she tried to pick herself back to her feet...

And so, Valerie was on the outside of the ring, once more. Exactly where she did not want to be. Crap.

She sighed, groaned, and began to sit up again, gripping the barricade for support as she rose. She was back in Chiki’s territory again, and if it was anything like her last trip out here, it would go poorly the longer she stayed. She needed this back where she was comfortable, between the ropes.

She reached out, took hold of Chiki’s hair, and began a hard march towards the ring, looking to drag her back under the ropes if need be - anything to keep this from getting out of hand.

Chika shook her head, trying to recover from Valley's earlier Sleeper Hold...as Valley tried to grab at her and get back inside the ring. It was clear to everyone that the veteran of the match, more experienced in hardcore matches, was at an advantage outside of the ring.

The Raven Knight thought about how match was going. Sure, Lucy was nowhere to be seen...but this was still a match she was going to do her best in to win...and ignoring the hardcore aspect was disrespectful to the match, the audience, and herself. As much as it seemed that Valley Doll tried to keep the hardcore aspect of the match on the down low, for Chika, it was time to kick it up a notch.

With that, once the blonde and her were close to the ring, Chika would jump, placing her feet at the edge of the ring, kicking off of that, and grabbed the blonde's head under her arm...and fell. The motion meant that Chika's makeshift Tornado DDT was going to drive Valley Doll's head onto the thin mats protecting the outside of the ring!

Valerie wasn’t sure which she liked less - hardcore matches or hentai matches. The obvious answer would be hentai, but even those matches tended to keep things in the ring. There was still some order, still some technique. It was not something she would touch with a ten-foot pole, but she could see a certain artistry to it. If she squinted.

But this hardcore stuff was nothing but garbage, and she couldn't muster respect for it. Chika was a veteran, and she wanted to respect the woman, but wrestling - true wrestling - took place in the ring, between the ropes. Hardcore wrestling was nothing more than glorified underground brawling.

She intended to prove that, too, just as soon as she marched Chika back into the ring. She was well on her way to doing that, too, when her opponent went and ruined her plans.

Valerie thought she had the woman secure, only for her to rise up with a sudden burst of speed and kick at the ring apron. It took half of a second for Valerie to figure out what she was doing, and that was all the time Chika needed to execute - she reached over, grabbed her by the head as she flew, and brought her head down hard to the floor, drilling her skull into the canvas. She flopped away, came down flat on her back, and laid there staying up at the ceiling with a gaped mouth and widened eyes.
