Seriously, though, who even used a Claw? Aaliyah couldn't even remember the last time someone had tried to use it on her, much less remembering it done effectively. She always pegged it as one of those sillier old-school moves, the kind that her trainers had pulled out in their heyday, but no one took seriously anymore.

Well, with Blaise’s fingers digging deep into her abdominals, she was taking it seriously, now. Blaise’s little addition made an already dangerous move that much more lethal, increasing the pain and the urgency as she writhed about. She needed out of this. She needed options. But as she writhed around, she could only really see one.

Submission.

It wasn’t something she would be proud to do, but the only other option would be letting him wreck her body and ruin her chances of the third fall. Much as she hated to do it, she needed to think long-term. Be smart about this. So…

”I give!” She rapidly tapped out and nodded her head, as much as she could with it being cranked. ”I give, I give!”

Blaise can't be sure she's finished; there's always a feeling, a sensation when the other fighter is done and can't continue. It's like a release, an energy dispersion, a sort of surrender of the body. He's felt that in opponents before. He's sure opponents have felt that from him, too! But he doesn't quite feel that from Aaliyah yet. He can feel every breath, every twinge, every aching shudder of her body in response to the tight, constricting arch, especially with his palm against her core and his fingertips clenching her abdominals. But he doesn't feel that surrender yet.

Even still, he has the ring awareness to know she has nowhere to go. She's his, barring some miracle or intervention. And he intends to seal the deal right here and now with her, however long it takes, and however much she wants him to wear out her body. Pride in these matches can be a serious downfall - hopefully hers is too high!

Suddenly, he feels her hand tapping against his arm. He hears her calling out that she submits. And it's an elating feeling. She would, in fact, be the first person he's ever submitted in an official match. And the fact that it's to a new move of his own design makes it all the sweeter; proof positive that the year of hiatus wasn't wasted.

The referee waves an arm quickly to declare the fall! *DING* And then she's rapidly patting Blaise to get him to release her, but it's not necessary. He's already loosening up on her to ease her forward again, the lancing fingertips no longer crushing her midsection. His hand slides more to the side of her waist before letting her go fully and standing.

A few steps back, and his hands prop to his hips. "Y'okay?," he calls across the ring. "I call that one the Sizzle Reel! Ya like it?"

He's being a little cheeky. Just a smidge.

Blaise was quick to let up off the hold, something that Aaliyah was eternally grateful for. The claw might not have seemed like much to most people, but mixed in with those other moves, it was highly effective, and there was no way out of it that she could see.

She gasped when he broke away and sucked in lungfuls of air, happy to be able to breathe without any impediment finally. What she was less happy about, of course, was to hear that second fall going to him, meaning they were even up on points now, one apiece.

Annoying. But she could come back from this. One step at a time.

She took a few moments to rise up, gingerly rubbing her stomach as she went, though she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his name choice. ”Sizzle Reel?” She pushed up to her feet and stepped back. ”I mean…why? You an actor or something?”

Not that she couldn't see it. He did have that kind of photogenic look about him, could easily see him on TV. Just something for her to ponder as she raised her arms, slid back into her stance, and began to pace around the ring, not keen on pressing her attack at the moment. Right now, her main goal was to catch her breath, still recovering from a rough second round.

Blaise is bobbing on his feet, balancing shifting nimbly from one side to the other by the time she gets up. But once she's on a vertical base, he stops and takes a proper grappling stance. Sweat-glistening body leaned forward, the contours of muscletone highlighted under the bright overheads. Arms raise at shoulder height, both ready to catch her or dive in, himself. Steady, measured steps bring him to circle with her, watching for falter.

The audience is devouring it, watching the two circle and knowing the finale must be coming.

"Sizzle Reel. Like what they play when we enter the ring, ya doof," Blaise replies, hooding his gaze at her with a wry smile. "Sizzle, because my whole motif's fire. And Sizzle Reel, because you submitting might be featured on it!"

He's the one to make the first move. It's a quick close-in, an attempt to slap hands onto her collar. Either she'll catch him in a lockup, evade, or he'll feed her quickly into a side headlock, pressing her cheek hard against his pectoral as his back arches and bicep squeezes against her jaw.

Aaliyah wasn’t joking; she’d genuinely never heard the term applied in wrestling. Then again, she’d never been in a venue that even had videos to play before, so she was willing to admit it was virgin territory. Before LAW, most of her wrestling had in high school gymnasiums and renovated bingo halls. Once in a Wal-Mart.

Whatever the case, she had no intention of making a cameo on Blaise’s ‘Sizzle Reel’. ”Thanks, but no thanks.” She quickly shifted up her stance, juking left and right as she closed in. ”Next time I pin you, though? Oh, I’ll get your good side.”

Taunt time, over. Fight time, now.

Blaise was the one to kick them off this time, stepping in with renewed confidence and forcing her into a collar-and-elbow. She tried to pull out, but he was quicker on the draw, and transitioned to a side headlock before she could get away. Smooth.

But she had the answer. Instead of trying to pull her head free, she backed up, hit the ropes, then propelled them both forward and attempted to pull her head free all at once, sending him off running to the other side in the process.

Snapping Aaliyah into the side headlock felt pretty damn good; the momentum was on his side, the rhythm was a beat he could dance to. It helped that Aaliyah's easy to like - got that personality he could gel with. A nice change of pace from the types he'd been used to wrestling. Heck, this almost felt normal. Almost.

He grinds her pretty face tight against the side of his pectoral, bicep squeezing the opposite side of her jaw. His wrist tucks beneath her chin to keep her face pulled upwards, the strain intensifying. He's not sure he's ever heard of someone submitting to a headlock before, but there'd be a first time for everything, and he wants this win. A part of him feels like it'd impress her more to beat her than to be beaten by her. She seems the type. And for whatever reason, for better or worse, that's something he wants out of her.

He sure as Hell wasn't gonna get it from her cousin.

"What'cha talkin' about?," he murmurs to her as he feels her start to struggle back. Each step brings them closer to the ropes. "Every side's my good side!"

They reach the ropes, and instinctively, Blaise expects her to try to force a rope break! But that's not the case. instead, she utilizes the elasticity of the ropes to spring them back, pop her head free, and thrust him forward! Running at a surprised stagger, Blaise manages to turn his back to hit the ropes, then jaunt forward again, mind racing to mount a quick defense, hoping to predict what she has coming...!

Aaliyah had to admit it - inwardly - that Blaise was impressing her, far more than she’d expected to be impressed when she came LAW, at least by the menfolk. Going in, she’d been told that the guys in LAW were a joke. Just a bunch of horndogs trying to get paid for the pleasure of rubbing up against young, nubile women, completely lacking in real talent, complete pushovers.

There was some truth to that, she was sure, but it seemed like she lucked up and found the exception to the rule. Blaise was good. Good enough that when she beat him, she would feel genuine pride in her accomplishment.

And she was going to beat him.

The first step towards that was creating some space between them so she could work at her best, and she achieved that when she pushed him off and sent him running towards the ropes. He’d only taken a couple of steps before she took off in a sprint after, following in his shadow, staying low.

The moment he bounced off the ropes and came running back, she would have a surprise for him. She leaped up to meet him, wrapped her arm around his neck, swung around behind him, and tried to use the momentum to send him crashing into the canvas, looking to catch him with a Slingblade.

There's an obvious appeal to it, when one can look past the inherent danger, struggle, and pain associated with professional wrestling. Athletic women aplenty to fawn over, made all the worse by the nature of the contest. And it's not like Blaise could say he wasn't enjoying their chemistry, or even the guilty indulgence of grappling with Aaliyah. But, indeed, the purpose here is to make a name for himself. To really create a career out of this, unlike what he was doing for the year or more prior. When he was essentially a smiling punching bag.

At any rate, it's not like his family would be somehow more willing to look him in the eye if he got better in the ring but wound up a degenerate in the process. We're looking for an upwards trend, not a lateral shift!

In this precise moment, however, the only thing Blaise is thinking is: 'Oh dang okay she came in right behind me'.

Then he feels her arm hook his collar, her bodyweight and momentum spinning her around him before putting that full focus on him. He's brought down to the mat hard on his back, landing with a hard THUD. Arms flop to either side, legs lie splayed, and his back arches inwards, expression caught in pained grimace.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Catching him just as he was moving forward again, using her own momentum to bring his to a sudden hold, using the gravity and the force to bring him crashing to the canvas. It was all she could’ve wanted from the impact, and despite the pain she was still experiencing from his last volley, she could feel the winds changing her favor. Now, she just had to roll with it.

And what’s the best for someone like her to follow things up? It was time to fly.

Aaliyah took a moment to slap the mat, rallying the crowd behind her for a quick energy boost, before she pushed up to her feet and made her way to the ropes parallel to his downed body. She took a moment to gauge the distance, do the math in her head, and then she went into action.

Aaliyah leaped up, planted her feet on the middle rope, and flew backwards in a wide arc, sailing through the air, a path that would end with her crashing down Blaise’s down body - assuming he was still there when she landed.

Despite the momentum he was feeling, Blaise was still the recipient of the punishment Aaliyah had subjected him to. And the slingblade was enough to leave him winded on the mat, writhing first in pain before sinking back down in a lightly sweating heap. But soon, the audience would be in bated breath watching Aaliyah's lithe body twisting in the air in a high arc, before bringing her down belly-first across Blaise's toned stomach. Abdominals meet abdominals, and the male lurches inwards at the point of impact!

Just as quickly as he'd curled up around her waist, he's dropping to the mat again, lying under her. Each hard, strained breath pushes his midsection tight against hers, arms and legs lying splayed, his eyes shut and lips parted.
