“Midnight Code” casting call

Hey everyone!

Soooooo, I had this idea pretty much on the spot and wanted to see if there was interest. If not, there’s always a backup option if I want to put this out there, but I’ll get to my idea. I’ve recently referenced that Kennedy is starring in her own spy thriller franchise and it’s called “The Midnight Code.” I was originally just going to reference this as a successful trilogy that she happened to be casted for and use it as an accomplishment of hers in Hollywood, but then I thought this could be a fun passion project for LAW. I will say something: I AM NOT CAMPAIGNING TO WRITE THIS MOVIE MYSELF. I want to do this with other people and this is why I’m using this to gain interest.

Maybe there’s a wrestler you have that has acting experience or wants to become an actor. I don’t exactly have an elevator pitch for this since I just came up with this thread idea so no synopsis is available. I just have it’s a spy thriller so expect lots of actions and some intense drama. Also, no concurrent explosions happening every five seconds ala Michael Bay. We ain’t that cheap. Think of a Mission: Impossible-style film if you have seen any of those movies, but once I have enough interest, we can get together to discuss things. I would need about 4-5 people for this at least to fill out the main cast of characters. Everyone else, including the villain of the movie, can just be written out by me, but we’ll just see who bites.

Alright, I think that’s enough interest gathering as we seem to have hit quite a few candidates. Obviously, my chosen character is Kennedy and she’s going to be playing one of the lead roles alongside these other characters that have been recommended. Everyone else will just be written by me and we’ll decide more on how events in the film play out. The next stage is brainstorming. Think about what type of character you want your actress character to play. The running theme I thought up is a group of misfits coming together with a secret spy organization and playing on the theme “you all are a lot of trouble, but your skills make the recruitment worthy. Perfect for this job.” So, maybe they play career criminals locked up until the organization busts them out for an international job, maybe they are from all walks of life and just happen to each have defining skills that the organization catches up on, or whatever have you. An example would be this:

Kennedy Lee as Raquel Gonzalez: An armed bank robber that was born in Mexico, but is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant and an American businessman. When some of her father’s businesses start to fail and her father is continued with facing pressure of selling some or risk bankruptcy, Raquel turns to a life of crime to fund her father. She joins a local heist gang known for hitting the big banks in Los Angeles and gets a few notable victories under her belt. Armed robber of 10 years, she’s known for her crowd control methods and her aggressive yet methodical approach to keeping people pinned down. She also has hostages surrender their phones so they can’t call police and their wallets to funnel extra cash into the final amount. Raquel also has great stealth skills and can incapacitate guards and let her crew into vaults so they can clean them out. On one particular heist, there was a faster police response time than usual and the gang had to act fast so they abandoned Raquel to take the fall when the leader shot her in her right knee. Raquel was the only one arrested from that heist and was sentenced to 25-life in prison for her heists over the years.

Something like that. Get creative over it. Post it here as I’m off Discord right now. It doesn’t need to be lengthy like mine, but have something ready and brainstorm a bit.

Calista Petridis as Isabella “Izzy” Fontaine, a multilingual con artist with a knack for blending in anywhere and talking her way out of (or into) anything. Born to a family of diplomats, Izzy spent her youth bouncing between countries, picking up languages and cultural nuances with ease. Her early education in international relations and linguistics set her up for a legitimate career, but the thrill of conning people out of fortunes proved far more enticing. Izzy specialized in high-stakes cons as the ever-changing face of those cons, from impersonating aristocrats to sexpionage to infiltrating corporations, always leaving just enough chaos behind to cover her tracks. Her eventual capture was the result of an intentional "misstep" by a partner who wanted police protection. Her discovery and a former lover's testimony tied her to years of her crimes, landing her a thirty-year sentence.

Backstory

Like Isabella Fontaine, Sabina is a multilingual con artist, possessing a deep understanding of psychology that allows her to manipulate her targets as easily as a puppet on strings. Rather than diplomats, she and her sister Camelia were born to a family with ties to the Clanuri Interlope, having a comfortable and fiercely protected spot in the hierarchy. Ironically, their parents desired for them to live an honest life. And for a time, Sabina and Camelia adhered to their wishes. But a life of privilege often begets boredom, and an antsy Sabina would eventually take part in criminal activity with a boyfriend she had at the time. Making deals, be they for drugs, weapons, and whatever else. Espionage, set-ups, the works. And most importantly, protecting Camelia, whose mental illness, borne of a bullet she'd taken to the head during a failed hit on their father, would spur her into becoming a serial killer.

During a job she'd taken on to meet with a government official and produce blackmail material, she would cross paths with Isabella Fontaine, who was there with the same task. As said official was a rather lustful man, the two would work together. The man had no chance.

The two would meet again in France, as Sabina was dating a man with ties to the Corsican mafia, to obtain information that her colleagues could use for an operation that brought them into the country. A friendship would bloom, with the women trading tips and tricks to make their cons run smoother, sometimes collaborating outright. It would become a close relationship. Eventually, too close for the liking of Izzy's lover at the time, who would tell her to keep her distance, or else. A warning that Sabina would ignore.

Unfortunately for Sabina, there would indeed be a price to pay: One evening, she was leading a target to what was supposed to be an assassination. It was a simple plan, one that she'd carried out many times: Go to the target's location. Put herself in a place to be seen to draw him to introduce himself. Talk him into taking her to a hotel, where a couple men, along with her sister (who had become quite skilled in the art of killing) would be hiding in wait. Have him take a seat while she goes to "slip into something more comfortable", and let them take care of the rest.

That night, two of those men turned out to be undercover cops. Izzy's lover had a wide information network. Wide enough to reach to her roots in Romania. And even worse, to her sister, who she'd brought along with her. The sisters would be extradited to Romania, tried for their crimes, and given life sentences.

Backstory (Warning: Contains some disturbing content)

Camelia Antonescu was once a cheerful, bright ball of sunshine. A wonderful kid. And then one day, she and her family were on the way to a nice lunch when it happened. A rival organization, led by a man with a longstanding grudge against her father, had organized a hit. Their car was rammed off the road, then shot at. Fortunately, no one would be killed, but Camelia would come very close. A bullet to the head that would've done the job if it were placed just one more inch in the wrong direction.

But the effects would last. Little Camelia would leave the hospital changed. She became fearful of the world, a fear that began as paranoia, but would find validation as the other children took to bullying her, lacking understanding of the newfound eccentricities that fateful day brought about her warped brain. Sabina -- the one and only person she trusted in the schoolyard -- would step in to defend her. After one fight too many, their father would sign them up for martial arts classes so they could better defend themselves. Sabina did okay, but Camelia would thrive, taking to the activities like a fish to water. But the training would come with a few accidents. Concussions that worsened her mental condition. In her early teen years, she would start to hear a voice. She believed them to come from a powerful lord named Bellzleb.

"Bellzleb" encouraged her to continue her training, and to reach out to instructors to learn deadlier forms of combat, either with or without her father's knowledge. This, He proposed, was for the purpose of molding her into His champion. There was important work to be done in the mortal realm. She would question Him again and again, but the nature of this work would not be revealed for the next few years.

During this time, puberty did its thing, bestowing her mother's charms on her, as it had with her sister. And as a result, those who rendered her an outcast (she was much too capable to bully by this point) had started to take an interest. Camelia would rebuke their approaches, just as they had hers in the past.

There would be a boy who refused to take no for an answer, especially so strongly. She was on a walk home alone, cutting through an empty pathway. A shortcut. There was where he grabbed her, and there was where her purpose would finally become clear.

Bellzleb required sacrifices. The boy's life force, stabbed out of him with the knife she carried for her and Sabina's protection, was just the start, and it came with its rewards, as shown when Camelia was released from lock-up in mere days, to walk every last bit as freely as she had before. Bellzleb had given her family the influence they needed to make it all go away. But there was only so much He could do as He was, and that was a particularly draining usage of His power. But He understood. He knew that situation was hectic. Terrifying. He was kind. But had warned her that she needed to exercise caution in the future.

Her lord required more life force. And more than that, He needed specific offerings at His altar. Different parts to meet different requirements: The right breast of a brunette. The tongue of a man who drank champagne. Breaking the seventh rib down on the left side if the sacrifice lived alone. It was an expansive list, steps and ingredients to a ritual that gave Him the power to stave off the apocalypse. Every kill -- every offering -- gave the world more time. Gave her family more time.

Unlike her, Bellzleb did not fear when Sabina walked in on her when she was in the middle of one of these grand offerings. It would lead to another showing of His power. Of how important she was to His plan. He urged Camelia to tell her sister all about it, no matter how horrified she appeared. Sabina wasn't a believer, but that detail was unimportant. Her lord was still able to reach into her heart, guiding her to take whatever steps were necessary to keep the truth from those who would try to stop her. And even to arrange access to more sacrifices. To Sabina, these were mere "hits". Simple targets from rival criminal organizations. But Camelia knew better.

Circumstances would often enough align to allow her to perform the required rituals down to a T. Sometimes, it would be swift. A snuffing of life with that being the only offering she would be able to make. But careful. Precise. Clean. It was not to get messy unless she had the time to perform the necessary rituals.

Bellzleb was impressed with her work. It warmed her to hear those words; that He had chosen wisely.

But that work would not be kept secret forever. There would be a night where Camelia was in wait for yet another sacrifice, led to a hotel room by her sister. Two men would be with her, instructed in the requirements of how her lord's altar was to be set up. The condition that the sacrifice was to be in when they subdued him.

Outside forces had learned of her mission and conspired to stop her from carrying it out. She would be arrested, sent back to Romania with her sister and subject to the mercy of a court. And Bellzleb -- His existence His noble goal -- would be dismissed as madness. The figment of a warped imagination. Every word was another blow hammering away at His power. Those fools had no clue that they were bringing the end of days ever closer.

They locked their saviors away for life.

In desperation, Camelia did the only thing could: Ambushed her cellmate while she slept, and did what she could with her bare hands. Hopefully it would be enough for Bellzleb make something happen...
