Videl Satan vs. Sara Conners - Head-Cha-La

At first, Videl had been annoying before. Now, she was quickly graduating to become an actual, bonafide pain in the ass. Quite the accomplishment for such a short amount of time. She had to be so proud.

Sara seethed as she waited on the outside of the ring, taking the time to catch her breath as the crowd cheered on their little heroine. As much as she would’ve loved to charge back in and lay waste to the brat, she knew better than to rush this sort of thing. She didn’t want to lose control of the pace, and didn't want to let Videl get too comfortable with herself. She waited a few seconds, let the referee get a few in, and then…

She started to make her way, only to notice that Videl was trying to keep her out, patrolling the ring and shadowing her, trying to force a DQ. Not the worst idea, she’d give her credit. But it was only to get her so far with Sara.

She started to make her way in, waited for Videl to try and kick her out, then quickly dodged to the side, letting the kick slide past. She threw a punch at the back of her opponent’s head, more out of spite than anything, then tried to roll her way back in and pop to her feet, beating the count with only a second to spare.

Videl could feel how close she was to victory as Sara spent a few more seconds of her limited time outside the ring. She knew that if she could beat the blonde back and then just get in her way at all, she would time her out and win. She just had to keep Sara out of the ring just a little longer. The Middleweight finally made her move, and Videl responded.

"Damnit!" Videl spat as her slide kick missed, her leg going past the edge of the ring as Sara juked to the side. She tried to wait for a dodge or deke from Sara, but went for it once she felt that the blonde didn't have anymore time to waste. But by just a fraction of a second, Sara had enough time to out-wait Videl to dodge the attack while still getting back in the ring before she was DQed.

Sara also gave Videl a little passing by present in the form of a punch that sent the martial artist far enough over the edge that she began to fall. She caught herself on the canvas, so she didn't fall out completely, but Videl still had to take a moment to pull herself back up, wasting any time that she otherwise may have been able to use to try to keep up offensive pressure on Sara as the blonde got up. Instead, Videl simply got back up herself, ready to re-engage.

Forcing an opponent out of the ring, making it hard for them to re-enter, then trying to jump them before they could get back to their feet.

Slick. As much as Sara hated to admit it, she had to admire the canniness of the move, especially coming from Pippi Longstocking. She’d used similar tactics in similar situations, which was probably the sole reason she was able to counter it so well, and even then, it had been a close thing - one single misstep, and her attempts at advertising would’ve been crushed in embarrassing fashion.

Sara was still in the match, however. Still competitive. Still annoyed.

She pushed her way up as Videl did the same, readying herself to re-engage. This time, however, there was no feeling out, no waiting - Sara came in hot, dashing towards her opponent at full speed. She leaped forward the moment she was close enough and came at her opponent with a flying knee, going right for the chin.

Videl wanted to stay on the offensive, but Sara refused to let her, understandably not wanting to stay stuck on the defensive after having almost lost the match to Videl's attack. The martial artist momentarily thought about trying to interrupt the blonde with a counter hit, but quickly abandoned the idea. Sara was the larger of the two, and she was coming in with a lot of speed. She was likely to just go through any attack Videl might have tried.

So Videl instead moved to guard herself, covering up her chest and face as Sara rose up with her knee. She did manage to prevent a direct hit, but all that size, strength, and speed that Sara had still managed to do some work. Videl's arms and upper body went backwards after the impact, her legs stumbling after to follow. It but her well out of range to counter, but it at least should mean that Sara isn't in range for a follow-up either.

Videl did her best to raise her arms as Sara moved in for the kill, trying to block the incoming knee. That wasn’t ever going to work, really - size was on her side, to say nothing of the momentum she brought in with the attack, more than enough to slice through any barrier in her way. But she couldn't blame the girl for trying.

She could blame her for being a pain in the ass, however, which was, in no small part, the driving force behind her attack.

The blow sent Videl staggering away, creating a gap between them that Sara was eager to fill. Her feet had only touched the ground for half a second before she pressed her advantage, dashing towards her foe with a long, powerful stride. She struck out the moment she was close enough, swinging her leg low, targeting the side of her opponent’s knee to try and trip her up and bring her down.

Videl blocked the attack, though not very cleanly. And while Sara couldn't follow up immediately, Videl's staggering meant that the blonde still had time to close the distance to keep up her pressure anyways. Sara's kick came in low, so Videl raised and braced her leg to block it. But yet again, with all the force the larger women had behind her strikes and with the marital artist already being on the back foot, Videl was sent stumbling backwards a second time in quick succession.

Videl went back about three more steps before finally regaining her footing proper. But now she found herself in the corner, and Sara was closing in with the intent to not let the Lightweight out of there without a severe beating. Trying to strike her way out was likely a poor choice, so Videl got creative. She would hop up onto the middle rope and try to launch herself through the air over Sara. Then if and when she landed, Videl would fire a kick back into the blonde to try to put her in the corner.

Sara had a good plan. A simple plan. An effective plan.

She was going to get Videl into the corner and punch her until she stopped moving.

Not the most flashy way of doing things, but then, Sara wasn’t a flashy person by nature. She liked to do things effectively, cleanly, quickly, and while she did want to make something of a spectacle out of beating Videl, she also didn’t want to take too much punishment from the younger woman. As much as she hated to admit, the little bitch had some real edge to her, and while there wasn’t a huge chance of her winning, it was still enough to make Sara wary of taking chances, especially as the match moved through its middle phase.

So she was already ramping up to the kill, but her opponent had other ideas, ideas that involved her leaping up and vaulting clear over to the other side. The sudden change took her off guard, and she turned around only to be greeted by a stiff kick to the chest, knocking her back and reversing their position.

Realizing the danger she was in, Sara pushed her way out with open arms and tried to force Videl into a collar-and-elbow tie-up, knowing she could muscle her smaller, younger opponent back to the center of the ring and control her from there.

Videl's plan worked. She had used her acrobatic skill to escape the corner and stick Sara into it in her place, even putting a kick into her back in the process. There was only one problem; whereas Videl was too small to escape the corner by force, Sara had no such issue. So when the martial artist tried to go in for further offense, she instead found herself getting pushed out by Sara in a lock up.

"Rrgh. . ." Videl growled as she found herself losing ground to Sara. She was strong, but just simply not as strong as she needed to be in order to stop the blonde. Videl didn't see a lot of options. If she tried to strike with her legs to turn the tide, the loss of her foundation might just get the Lightweight overwhelmed completely. Meanwhile, both her arms were currently engaged with an opponent who did not seem keen on letting them go.

Sara would—reluctantly—give Videl credit. She was young but had a surprising amount of skill for her age, and she was driven in a way you didn’t see much in younger fighters these days. Her hair was dumb, and she was too energetic for her own good, but she could see a bright future in a woman like this—lots of potential, loads of it. There was a huge upside. She’d get a good break one day.

But not today. Damn sure not off of Sara’s back.

More determined than ever, Sara drove the more petite woman forward, using her size and strength difference to muscle her across the ring while her opponent struggled to keep her footing, fighting for every step they took. One she was in a good position, she gripped Videl tight and brought her knee up fast, ramming the point of it deep into her stomach with a brutal blow.

Though Videl fought hard and made it as much of a slog as she could, she could not stop Sara from pushing her back to the center of the ring, nor could she prevent the busty blonde from driving a knee into her gut. "Rrgh!" Videl grunted as she her body dipped down, knees just barely off the floor. But then the martial artist grit her teeth and kept fighting.

Videl would yank her arms down, free of Sara's grip, and fall forward to the blonde's side. As she did so, the martial artist would wrap her arms around Sara's leg and try to roll over as she went to the mat. Which if it worked, would pull Sara down with her and put the Middleweight on her stomach. If Videl succeeded, then she would immediately clamber on top of Sara's back and lock her into a Camel Clutch.
