Bast vs "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (c) for the LAW Heavyweight Title

The punch came and absolutely devastated Alaina. Her nose broke. She felt it, she heard it. The crowd in the front row heard it. Blood seeped out as her head snapped back and the amazon went down like a lifeless, motionless sack. She spun as she fell hitting the mat on her stomach as her body trembled upon landing.

She looked like she was totally out.

However a foot raised up and kicked the mat and her hands planted on the mat. Her arms shook and legs wobbled as she slowly, painfully, shakily pushed herself up off the mat stumbling forward to the ropes and bouncing off. She hobbled in a wayward, limp spaghetti noodle way weaving back to the champ as her thighs and backside Blu Ned with each step. Her face was more than a bit red compliments of the cut lip and broken nose.

With a loud scream Alaina haphazardly spun and lunged at Bast leaping to hit a discus lariat keeping her body moving to try to take Bast down to the mat wildly punching at her face after as hard as she could! No one was sure if Alaina was on auto pilot or doing this with conscious thought but she was somehow fighting back!

That did it.

That had to do it.

Bast knew her own strength, knew what she could do to the human body with a punch like that. It was a devastating blow, and it should have been enough to put almost any human being on the planet down, let alone one that was this worn out and this damaged. She planted her hands on her knees and sagged forward, refilling her lungs as the referee rushed over to check on the fallen champion. The belt was hers, she could taste it.

But that was not meant to be. Bast looked on in utter shock as Alaina defied every notion of human endurance she ever had and began to push her way up, rising upwards and getting to her feet. It was a slow, sloppy rise, with her opponent clearly out of it, but it was happening. At nigh-on fifty years of age, Alaina’s endurance was superhuman.

But Bast wouldn’t be deterred. After the surprise wore, she huffed, gripped her fists tight, and moved in, ready to deal another death blow…

…only for her to eat a lariat, instead.

The move hit clean and brought the Hammer of Africa crashing down, landing on the mat with a sick impact. Alaina was on before she could rise back up, delivering punch after punch, cracking her right on the face. It was Bast’s turn to smell blood now, as her nose was broken somewhere along the line, and she was certain it wouldn’t be the last time she leaked red in this match.

Alaina was barely on control of her faculties as she took Bast down. She had to go all in right now or she would not win. The amazon stopped her punch onslaught and staggered up, yanking Bast by the hair to her feet. Alaina was staggered and swaying bit she had to keep going. She grabbed Bast and lift her up stepping forward to bring her down for a backbreaker, keeping hold of the giant. Alaina stepped forward and did another backbreaker, each movement taxing making her body tremble.

She couldn't stop but knew once she ran out of fan fueled adrenaline she would, her body would give out. She had to make the most of this and hammer Bast to defeat.

From outside, Cersei watched as Alaina made her impossible rally, defiantly holding on to life after the absolute mauling her sister had given. She was chewing on her nails without even realizing it, a nasty habit that refused to go, but it wasn’t something she could help at this point, as she watched their chances slipping through their fingers. The match was dragging on to its conclusion, everyone could see that, but Cersei had one other concern: What time was it?

It was an important question, but the furthest one from Bast’s mind at the moment, as Alaina’s battered her skull into the canvas with relentless blows. She was left stunned under onslaught, lifeless, an easy target as the Amazon lifted her up and brought her down across her knee with a vicious backbreaker.

She was the one being manhandled. A rare feeling before she came into this match.

Alaina lift Bast again riding the adrenaline adrenaline as she lift Bast up for a second d back breaker before shoving Bast off her knee. Alaina wanted to punish her all while saving more energy. She pulled Bast to a sitting position and sat behind her wrapping her legs around Basts torso while pulling her head back wrapping her arm around Basts throat to lock in a modified dragon sleeper! Alaina squeezed with everything she had giving it her all and imposing her strength on Bast. "Ngh.... the Hammer of Africa got blunted by the Anvil of the Amazon eh?" Alaina said more to Cersei on the outside than to Bast herself.

The crowd lost their minds as the Amazon continued pushing this match towards a climactic end. Most of them were firmly on Alaina’s side, but there was a distinct undercurrent underneath them who chanted for Bast, voices that hadn't been there at the start. And with them, slapping her fists against the apron, was Cersei.

”Shut up, you cow!” She spat back at Alaina, before bringing the focus back to her sister. ”Bast! Samira! Don’t let her beat you! We’ve come too far, worked too hard! The belt is right there, we can still take it!”

Inspiring words, truly, but none of them could change the reality of Bast’s situation, as she slammed against Alaina’s knee and had her head seized in a dragon sleeper. It was tight hold that put her in an awkward position, forcing her to bend backwards as her throat was squeezed. It would’ve been troublesome with the weakest of fighters, but with someone who had Alaina’s power, it was a serious threat, especially at this stage of the fight.

It was all Bast could do to hold and swing out with her spare hand, blindly firing punches where she hoped her opponent’s head would be.

Alaina was cranking hard and given the size of Bast she was pulling this hold back further than she normally did. In a roundabout way her own back being arched more and the amazon leaning back further led to punches that would normally have smashed her face glancing off her arms. They hurt, but not enough to deter Alaina. She let out a shout as she yanked back further knowing that this hold was working. She wanted to keep it locked in as long as possible inflicting all the punishment she could on the giant challenger of hers!

Alaina cranked back and grit her teeth as the crowd roared watching her controlling the challenger this late into the match. Alaina felt more gassed and exhausted than she could remember... how late into the match was this exactly? Given the beating she had taken she couldn't see the time keepers clock if she wanted to with her still fuzzy vision.

Don’t tap. Just don’t tap.

Bast was fighting with herself as much as she was with Alaina, resisting the urge to surrender even as it felt like her body was being ripped to shreds. While she had lost matches here and there, she had never - never - tapped out. Most of the time, she hadn't come out on top due to technicalities or minor things. The idea of surrendering, in a match like this with so much on the line, was anathema.

She could hold on. She could survive. She had to.

Of course, this would be a moot point if she was just knocked out, which was quickly becoming a possibility as Alaina amped up the pressure. Bast was growing more desperate with each passing second, as her wild blows struck out. Time for Plan B.

She gripped Alaina’s arms tight, curled her body in, and swung her leg upwards all at once, trying to hit her in the face with a knee. A wild move, but at this point, she was willing to go for anything.

Alaina felt like she had it, she had the indomitable Bast ready to... knee her in the face! Alainas head snapped back and she fell to the mat, the already dazed Amazonian champion with freshly fuzzy vision for a moment. To stop was to lose though and Alaina couldn't lose. She fought every impulse to lay there and recover forcing herself awkwardly to her feet.

She knew Bast was expecting something big, she would be crazy not to. So Alaina was going to be crazier and try something fast, fluid and not overly painful. Alaina stepped up to reach for the hair of Bast snapmaring her to the mat a few times in a row to disorient her. Keep moving and get closer to thet corner.....

From there the savagery and desperation would come forth as Alaina would transition to bouncing Basts head off the turnbuckle as hard as she could repeatedly!

It was a long shot, but the knee to Alaina’s face actually worked and earned her a moment of freedom. She was freed and fell to the mat, gasping for air. She tried to push her way up, but the Amazon was already on her, dragging her up to her feet with a strong grasp on her hair.

Up and over, up and over, up and over. Bast cried out as she was snapmared, ragdolled by the simple move. It wasn’t that painful, but it was disorienting, and softened her up for the real damage, as she brought over to the corner and had her face planted against the turnbuckle. The impact left her stunned and slumping in the corner, too dazed to put up much more resistance.
