Bast vs "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (c) for the LAW Heavyweight Title

Alaina managed to come crashing down on Bast as the champion also lay among the wreckage of the table. The impact was solid... but her devastated mid-section and all the pain coursing through it came roaring back. The impact left Alaina laid out too and she was having trouble rising.

Deep breaths. Steady movement. Alaina winced and looked like she struggled to move. She managed to grab Bast and drag her, hobbling towards the ring. Thankfully the moonsault and destruction of that table led to a stunned referee and delayed count-out count otherwise things could have ended with both women laid out.

Alaina strained and lift Bast up shoving her into the ring underneath the ropes before climbing onto the apron to roll into the ring herself, laying across the chest of Bast to go for a pin!

Bast was only vaguely aware of her surroundings at the moment. Not quite unconscious, but too close to it to make real sense of things, her brain not correctly processing what was happening. She was vaguely aware of someone picking her up and moving her around, but she wasn’t sure to what end. She could register being rolled about, and then there was weight on her chest, but nothing seemed to register.

”1…!”

That, however, came through quite clearly.

Bast eyes shot wide open as the sudden threat of her a loss brought new energy into her body. She was on the mat, Alaina was on top of her and she was only two seconds away from letting the biggest opportunity of her life slip away.

”2…!”

Bast kicked out just as the referee’s hand was coming down for the final count, but that wasn’t all she did. She grabbed Alaina, flipped her around, and snaked her arms under the woman’s shoulder, clamping them behind her neck as she applied a full nelson. At the same time, her legs shot around Alaina’s waist, scrambling into a figure-four position to apply extreme pressure to her midsection. It was a desperate play, as she tried to lock in her submission finisher, a move she liked to call Heaven’s Wrath[/i].

Alaina was close... so close to winning yet when Bast kicked out she did much more than kick out! Alaina was trapped unable to respond in time as she felt her torso crushed again and her arms tied up high in the full Nelson! Alaina howled and thrashed in agony as she was quickly overwhelmed by the jolting pain of the hold! She kept thrashing, bucking, kicking and trying to really escape but she was stuck and the situation kept looking more bleak as each agonizing second passed....

There was a reason that Bast thought of this move as a ‘finisher’. While she didn’t typically care for categorizing her skills in such a way, she had ended more than a few fights with this, enough that it was only fair to give it such a moniker. It targets multiple parts of the opponent’s body, crushing their ribs while taking their breath away and straining their arms, allowing her to accumulate a good deal of damage in a short time. It was perfect for her size, with her legs being able to wrap around her opponents and exert maximum pressure.

The only trouble was that she couldn't apply it with the maximum force, her body still coming off the low of getting rocked by Alaina for the past minute or so. All the same, she tried her best to keep the pressure on, hoping to get as much damage as possible with what she had to work with.

Alaina was in pure agony, her body throbbing as any movement seemed to cause her intense pain. Alaina thrashed and howled as she was held while she felt the pain intensifying. She screamed again and tried to get her legs underneath her. The desperation, adrenaline and gritty drive all fueled Alaina as she tried to stand up and drive Bast back in to the corner as hard as she could to try tonget her off her!

If that failed Alaina knew she was close enough to the ropes to try to get a rope break to free herself as the Amazon felt like her torso itself was fractured apart and her ability to breathe barely there.

…was she trying to stand up?

No, Alaina wasn’t trying to stand up. She was standing up, and doing an impossibly good job of it. As impossible as it sounded, the Amazon was putting pay behind her name as she rose, lifting up Bast’s not-inconsiderable weight in the process. She continued to clamp down, hoping to sap away her foe’s strength, but there was nothing to be done as she moved backward, barreling straight towards the corner.

Bast hit hard, aggravating her tortured back on impact, and her hold immediately fell away. The effort left her haggard and all she could lean up against the corner, barely able to stand, hoping that Alaina’s damage was anywhere close to her own.

The amazon just barely managed to free herself. Alai a fell forward onto her hands and knees gasping for breath. She could not move without seeing double. She was light headed and dizzy. Breathing hiry let alone trying to get back up.

However a winning Alaina did rise and stagger up, sloppily turning around and trying to chop Bast across the chest before taking the bigger woman by the arm attempting to whip her across the ring to the opposite corner!

Bast was still trying to catch her second wind when Alaina rose up, rising up like a horror movie villain, once again showing her endless stamina. She tried to push her way out of the corner and retaliate, but the woman laid into her with a vicious chop before she could even take a step, leaving her laying against the turnbuckle.

It left her stunned, easy prey, and Alaina encountered no resistance when she grabbed her wrist and sent her running to the opposite corner. All Bast could do was turn around at the last second and hit with her back, taking all the impact on her spine. Still winded, she sagged against these ropes and waited for her opponent to continue her offense.

But she wasn’t done. Not quite yet. She kept her eyes open all the while, hoping for an opening, just one…

The amazonian champion saw the challenger slump back and knew she had to act quickly. Alaina rushed in as quickly as her hobbling running allowed. She rushed right at Bast looking to run in and hit her against the corner with a big clothesline. Alaina was going right for the direct approach, as she desired to make a statement against Bast. The world would see that age is a number, and the amazon is the amazon regardless of how old she is. Alaina was going to behead Bast if this connected, eager to keep taking the fight to the hard as obsidian rock giantess pit against her for the LAW Heavyweight Championship.

Bast stood up against the turnbuckle, looking on as Alaina rushed towards her with her arm outstretched. It was a familiar sight that she was coming to respect, knowing how much damage this woman could do if given a quarter of a chance, but she refused to let such notions cloud her mind. She had to take the initiative, or risk getting run over by this freight train of a woman.

So, when Alaina came charging in, Bast stepped out to meet her, extending her own arm to pull her opponent in by her chest. She lift Alaina up high, even standing on the tips of her toes for maximum height, then hurled her to the canvas with all the force she could muster, shrieking with a war cry as she flew. ”Sit down!”
