Bast vs "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (c) for the LAW Heavyweight Title

Alaina gasped and reached up using the ropes to pull herself up to her feet as she wobbled and swayed about on limp legs. Alaina turned and marched over to Bast with her hands up. The amazon held both hands up as if she were going to grapple but her hazy mind knew she had to take another approach.

Alaina tried to step forward quickly and spin with the final step putting all the mo.ebtum she had behind a discus clothesline to try to hammer Bast and get back into the fight!

It was tempting to just move in and start swinging, but Bast knew better than to move in on a woman like this. The look in Alaina’s eyes was one that she was pretty familiar with, having seen it in so many fights back in her homeland. That wild, desperate, animalistic gaze, a primal state. People were animals at the end of the day, despite them often insisting otherwise, and an animal was most dangerous when it was cornered.

Alaina didn’t take long to lash out, spinning around and coming at Bast with a strong, clubbing blow. She brought her arms up to absorb, but it still had enough power to make her stagger back a few steps, knocking her into the ropes. Instead of staying against them, though, Bast bounced off, stepped forward, and swung her leg out at Alaina’s calf with low kick, trying to trip her up and bring her back to the canvas.

Alaina swung and connected.... but Bast blocked! Before the hurting amazon could react she took a sharp, hard kick to the side of her leg gritting her teeth as the prideful amazon tried to stay up but wobbled, falling down to a knee as her upper body swayed while Alaina tried to stabilize herself.

Bast shook her hands arm out as Alaina reeled away, still feeling some of the impact from that clothesline, doing her best to shake it off and not think about what would’ve happened if she’d been slower to deal with it. Still on the hunt, she moved in on her opponent as she dropped to a knee, making sure they were never apart for too long, dictating the pace at every turn.

She reached out and pulled Alaina’s head in under her arm, then pulled her arm over her shoulder for the classic vertical suplex position. Bast even looked like she was going for the move for a moment, lifting Alaina with ease, only to step forward and drop Alaina’s stomach on the ropes, hitting her with a Stun Gun to drive all the air out of her at once.

Alaina was picked up and held high as she weakly kicked her legs and flailed only to come crashing down across the ropes! Alaina wheezed out a gaspnof anguish as her body crumpled to the mat in a heap. Bast was going strong and the champion with each passing moment looked like a beaten woman who couldn't even stand up.

”Yes, yes, yes!””

Cersei could scarcely contain herself as she watched from ringside, as her sister began to dominate the match. The old fossil had put up a courageous fight from the onset, but the pendulum was starting to sway in a clear direction, and it was wonderful to see. ”Keep on her, Bast! This match is yours to win!”

It was certainly starting to feel that way. Bast’s attack left Alaina as a mess on the floor, thoroughly wrecked, and she moved in quickly to pick up the pieces. She grabbed her by the head and lifted her up, forcing her to stand on wobbly knees, before she pulled away and lashed out with two stiff strikes - a swift jab to her face, clocking her on the side of the head, and palm strike aimed at the center of the chest, driven hard to knock Alaina up against the nearest corner.

Alaina looked like a ragdoll as Bazt smashed her with a punch that left her dazed on her feet and then the hit to the cheat left Alai a falling back I to the corner. Her head bobbed out as her arms were draped over the top rope. She stomped meekly a couple times as she barely stayed up, her backside and inner thigh rippling with each stomp.

The crowd had never been on Bast’s side, but they were growing more adamant with each passing second, as they tried to rally behind Alaina and get her back into the match. It was a nice gesture, and she could appreciate their spirit, but it was pointless - cheers wouldn’t heal Alaina’s body, they wouldn’t help her absorb punishment, and they certainly wouldn’t get her back into this match.

With her opponent in the corner, Bast went to work once again. She took up position at her side and let loose with one roundhouse kick, then another, and another on top of that, each blow sinking deep into Alaina’s midsection. With her aching and stunned against the pads, she figured that was more than enough leeway - she took off in the opposite direction, bounced off the pads in the corner, then came running back towards Alaina at full speed, moving with all the speed of her namesake.

Once she was close enough, she leaped up and lunged straight for her opponent, bringing up her leg to hit her with a devastating flying knee to the face.

Each shot off Alaina's body echoed and she howled in agony. Her ribcage was discolored now after the beating she took and she couldn't move without her body aching horribly. Alaina was grabbed and sent running to the opposite corner, each step looking line a limp logged shaky thighed labor as she crashed against the turnbuckle.

Alaina saw Bast coming and shook her head. She let out a loud warcry as Bast leapt... and Alaina ducked, reaching out to grab her! Alaina kept howling and stood tell running forward while lifting Bast to amabomb her to the mat as hard as she could, laying acrossnher chest and hooking a leg to pin her after as the crowd roared!

One second.

Bast only needed one second to end this match, she was sure of it. That was all the time she would need to land this knee on Alaina’s face and lay her out, a single crushing blow to bring it all to an end. It was right there, she could reach out and touch the belt…

And then it all came crashing down.

Bast roared as Alaina snatched her out of midair and brought her crashing onto the mat, hitting with enough force to make the ring shift. She would’ve bounced up if the Amazon hadn't been there to keep her grounded, folding her over while the referee slid in for the pinfall.

”1…!”

Bast didn’t move at first, too taken by the shock of it all to even register what had happened. It made no sense - where was she getting these reserves from? How was she holding on?

”2…!”

The referee’s hand was coming down for the final count when Bast straightened out and spasmed her way out of the pinfall, rolling hard to the side while the audience erupted.
