Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Bast didn’t know what Angie did before coming into pro wrestling, but she felt safe in assuming she wasn’t coming from an acting career. Granted, it wasn’t as if she would do that much better if the positions were swapped, but at least she had the advantage of being in real fights before this - she knew what real pain was supposed to look like, how you would actually act if someone rammed their skull into yours.
Angie, bless her, did not. It was a decent attempt at reeling from the blow, but there was some delay, enough that it might raise eyebrows from the wrong people. The sooner Bast brought this to a conclusion.
”Get down.” Bast stepped away and put a strong hand on Angie’s shoulder, enough to push the woman down to sit in the corner. She made sure her head was in the right place, just below the pads, and nodded. ”Don’t. Move.”
She gave that grave warning before she stepped away, stomping back towards the center of the ring. She turned away, took aim, then came running forward, like a freight train, bounding Angie’s way with frightening speed. She waited until the last second, then jumped forward and sent her knee flying towards her opponent’s head - or, rather, she aimed at the pad above it. If she timed it right, her knee would smack into the turnbuckle, close enough and fast enough that no one could tell it had missed without a close angle and slow motion. Some of her leg might catch Angie in the face, which wouldn’t be fun, but a far cry from the concussion creating blow it could be.

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Angie played possum for a brief second before she heard Bast speak again- Angie's muscles tensed up instantly as Bast put her hand on her shoulder and pressed her down to the ground; Oh shit- was she supposed to play limp? Her body involuntary tried to brace itself as she was slipped down into a seated position, landing a little uncomfortably on her ass... Which hopefully should be the worst pain she experiences tonight... right? After a second of her expression reacting to the impact onto the ground she closed her eyes again~ "Just make it look like you're knocked out" she thought to herself. Hard to say how she looked with her eyes as tightly pressed as they were though...
”Don’t. Move.”
Angie tensed up completely at those words as the woman delivered them in a terrifying tone- It sounded like a threat but Angie knew she was trying to actually be helpful; still, she couldn't help but squirm a little in place as she pressed down hard on her lip in anticipation. She peeked one eye open as Bast had walked to the centre of the ring; before she started to charge the corner where Angie sat-
"aa-AAHHHHHH!!!"
She couldn't help herself as she opened both eyes widely from her possum position and screamed loudly as the woman charged her at full speed! She looked she was going to ram her knee right through Angie's skull! Angie's limbs began to squirm as well, sh-she should reach for something or m-maybe-
*SLAM!*
Bast's knee smashed hard against the turnbuckle directly above Angie's head- What a relief. But it took Angie a brief second to realize that the front of Bast's shin had smacked her directly in the nose. For a second Angie had no reaction; She tried to keep strong and silent as her lips remained pressed together- But she couldn't help it as the pain started swelling more;
"mmmm--aaaAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
She cupped her hands over her nose and completely forgot how she was supposed to react- the tears that were welling previously in the corner of her eyes started to grow larger... It-it must have been an accident, right? Angie tried to reassure herself it didn't hurt that much- she needed to play along with the act... Wait what was she supposed to do again? Her mind raced as she sat in place with a shocked expression cupping her nose and mouth; her screams dulling into pained moans as she tried to massage the bridge of her nose...

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
For a second after the impact, Bast was relieved, knowing she’d succeeded in not decapitating this poor woman. It was a big ask for her - she was far more akin to a buzzsaw than a scalpel, used to letting loose with her body and not holding back. Trying to fight without actually fighting was a unique challenge for her, but she felt she was making a good job of it. She’d only hit Angie a little with that move, she would survive.
And then came the screaming.
Bast couldn't help but wince as Angie wailed, looking down as she covered her nose. It didn't seem to be bleeding, but she doubted that distinction would matter much to the woman. Taking a shot on the face was a hard thing to cope with for the uninitiated. This wasn’t the best way to experience your first time.
”Ha!” Cersei squawked and clapped her hands as she moved to the side of the ring to get a better view. ”That’s right, you weakling! Cry! Cry! Insect!” She spat and stepped away. ”End it, Bast!”
Bast huffed, rolled her shoulders, and moved in on Angie once again, reaching down to grab her by the head with both hands, palming her skull like it was a basketball. ”I really am sorry about this.” She forced Angie to stand, pulling her body up with ease. ”We’re almost done.”
Bast pulled Angie’s head under her arm and applied a tight facelock, keeping her in place. She reached over, grabbed her leg, and proceeded to lift her up, hoisting her straight into the air for the first part of her finishing move - Buria.
Most times, the next step would’ve been to drill her opponent’s head into the mat. But since that would almost certainly result in a hospital visit, Bast opted for something softer: She kicked her feet out, fell into a sitting position, and came down with Angie’s body as she twisted it around, attempting to pull her head in at the last moment so her back would hit the mat, instead. A rough fall, no way around it, but she could hopefully survive it.

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Angie continued to hold her nose tightly and kicked her nearly bare feet against the canvas as a reaction to the pain... The woman who accompanied Bast to the ring started mocking her as the words caused her to cry more actively now- She couldn't even get "Fake injured" without being a complete loser. A glob of spit collided with Angie's arm which she winced at; just more of a reminder that she shouldn't even be here...
As Angie continued to sob and moan she felt Bast place her palms on both sides of Angie's head and begin to coax her up to her feet; Angie started to let out worried cries as she maintained eye contact with Bast~ her legs pushing her up to stand obediently in front of the woman who had hurt her- a-and she might do so again~ Angie thought she would maybe get out scott-free in this match, but clearly that was wishful thinking. Angie's hands left her face and now spread out on either side of her as she maintained a submissive stance with her back hunched down so she was forced to look up at her attacker~
”We’re almost done.”
While the intention behind the statement was sincere, the Woman delivering it could not have sounded more terrifying to Angie. She was brought right back to when she first stepped foot in the ring~ The fear began to fully envelop her once again as her thighs began shaking erratically and her worried moans got louder and louder-
Angie went along obediently as her head was placed under Bast's armpit and her head was squeezed to keep it still... She felt the sensation of the canvas on her socked feet for a brief moment longer before Bast grabbed her leg and lifted Angie straight up into the air!
"Aahhh... aa-AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! P-PLEASE!!! O-OH MY GOD!!!"
Angie moans turned to screams and pleas as she was lifted upside down! Bast had a completely dominant grip on her as the tears began flying everywhere and her face maintained an ugly cry. Her barely useful skirt now flopped upside down as her underwear was displayed high in the air for the entire audience to see; a mark of her inexperience and misunderstanding as the blood started to rush to the strippers head~ Sh-she was going to die. This was it.
She felt the motion of her end beginning as gravity brought both Women down to the ground- Angie could not even follow exactly what happened as her body was twisted in the air while falling and she was now staring up at the lights before-
*SLAM!*
Angie's back collided with the canvas as she bounced right back up from the impact! Her whole body jiggled and reeled from the impact as the wind completely escaped her- Silencing her screams. Her legs fell forward and crashed into the mat- causing her thighs to jiggle and rest in a planked position while the reverberation made its way up her body. While her head did not receive any of the impact- her teared eyes stared off into Bast's thigh as it looked for answers for what had just happened- She lay limply in place as she did her best to have her breath return to her...

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Don’t think about it. Just do it.
Bast did her best not to let the moment affect her, but there was something chilling about Angie’s screams, something that cut her in the core far worse than any physical damage could’ve done. She had beaten countless people before, crushed them, left them broken in the ring, but she couldn't recall ever feeling so dirty after a win. The crowd were looking on, cheering, as if the poor woman was a sacrifice at the altar, while Cersei looked on as the ringmaster of it all. She looked down and saw Angie’s tear soaked, lifeless face, and she wanted to puke.
It took no small amount of effort to keep it down, but she managed. This was more of an ordeal than anyone would know, but it was finally finished.
With a rueful sigh, Bast planted her hands on Angie’s chest, leaned forward, and pinned her shoulders to the mat. It was mostly a formality at this point, but all the same, the referee did her job - she dropped down and started up the count, slapping the mat besides Angie’s head.
”1…!”

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Angie felt two hard hands press Against her chest as she continued her dead stare into Bast's leg. While she wasn't out cold, she was completely winded from the slam and barely felt the use of her limbs. Usually by now in a match she would be unconscious- But this opponent did her best to go easy on the poor girl... As she felt the mat shake from the Referee slamming down the three-count she unfortunately had enough brain functionality to analyze the situation;
"1...!"
After dominating loss after loss; she was put into another lose-lose scenario against an intimidating opponent who felt sympathy for her... And she still found a way to fuck it all up. She felt like a complete embarrassment; she was thrown into a sport she knew nothing about and was treated like a complete joke- When have you ever heard of a sport where the other person tries to make their opponent "Not lose that bad". She couldn't compete, she couldn't wrestle; She couldn't do anything. The sympathy from her opponent was starting to feel like a curse now, at least the bullies treated her like a pile of garbage instead of a hopeless lamb.
"2...!"
None of that mattered now anyway. Just another vicious blow to her self-esteem as she would have to continue riding out punishment after punishment until her mandatory match clauses were done... How was she supposed to go on after this whole experience? Was she doomed to be a failure on this level for the rest of her life? Her limbs let out a brief spasm of retaliation... And it was done.
3!
*DING DING*

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Three seconds, and it was over. There was a brief moment Angie seemed to stir, and Bast had the fear that she might actually try and succeed at kicking out of the move, but it turned out to be nothing more than a tremor. She was done, and they were able to reach a conclusion in a swift manner.
She doubted that Angie felt the same way, but Bast was relieved. Now, they could put all of this behind them, go backstage, and-
”Alaina Sanders!”
Bast winced as her sister’s voice boomed through the air, shrieking through the loudspeakers with a sound only slightly more pleasant than feedback. She looked over to her side, and sure enough, Cersei had somehow procured a microphone, and was making her way up the steps and into the ring, much to the audience’s increasing frustration.
”Alaina Sanders, I know you are here and I know you can hear me! Don’t think I’m not aware of what’s going on.” She made her way through the ropes and pointed down at Angie. ”This? This is a symptom. Since me and my sister joined LAW, we have been fed nothing but fodder to keep us appeased, given excuse after excuse. Why?” Cersei pointed an accusing finger towards the back. ”Because management is protecting you. Because they know your time has passed, and that Bast is the future of the heavyweight division, and they’re unwilling to face that fact, to see their fragile champion broken in half. But we’re done with waiting, we’re done with excuses - Bast stands at the top of the mountain, and she will have what is owed!”
Cersei stalked around the ring like a prowling hyena, snarling at the carcass laid out before Bast. ”So, here is the ultimatum. You will come out and you will give Bast a shot at your title. If you do not do this, Bast will continue to beat this poor excuse for a wrestler until she is little more than a stain on the canvas.”
Bast just shook her head, making sure to do so when Cersei was looking away from her and the audience’s focus was on her, before she looked back down to Angie. ”I’m not going to do that, don’t worry.” She slid back and began to push her way back up. ”Just stay down for now. It will be over soon.”

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Alaina was backstage in her tiger print one piece swimsuit with her title over her shoulder having just finished up a photo shoot. She was watching the match going on and to say it was one sided was a bit of an understatement. She had seen Bast in action before and up against someone who she outclassed... well... it was predictably quick.
Then that annoying little mouthpiece of hers opened her mouth. To say it caught Alaina's attention was an understatement. She quickly made her way towards the arena ready to confront these two lording over their beaten opponent. Alaina came out and the fans cheered her appearance loudly as she looked very focused on Bast, and quite a bit angry in general. Thankfully as Alaina was about to enter the arena a worker had tossed her a mic which she held in her right hand as her left hand was patting the LAW Heavyweight Championship draped over her left shoulder.
"Here I am, and if you think I am dodging you then you are delusional. You run your mouth and hide behind Bast, I would love to see you step in the ring with anyone and last longer than 30 seconds but right now that is neither here nor there." Alaina said stomping her way down the ring marching her way right over to Bast. Alaina wanted to get between Bast and her beaten opponent before anything else. "Big, bad Bast.... I know what you can do. You beat Tina which is impressive, Tina is a great wrester." Alaina said nodding and clapping her hands together before her glare seemed to ice up a bit. "But if you think I am scared of you then you are insane. Ask Selene and Samuela how well they and their unbeaten records did before stepping in the ring with me for the LAW Heavyweight Championship. I am still champion and they aren't undefeated anymore. I am more woman than you have ever set foot in the ring with. The amazon isn't just a nickname honey. I am the warrior queen of the wrestling ring, and that ring is my damn jungle kingdom! We have a nice big PPV coming up and I would love for you to try to take me on for the LAW Heavyweight Championship. Pick the match type, make it one you are good at and I'll humble your ass by coming out on top." Alaina said lowering the mic and glaring at the two women.

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Thankfully, Alaina really was in the building, and she was quick to come out before Cersei pressed the issue with Angie. Bast breathe a sigh of relief as the champion made her way down to the ring, then straightened up and steeled herself - this was the moment they’d been preparing for since they came to Japan, the time to make an impression with the heavyweight champion and stake their claim in the company. Their induction into the major leagues. The opportunity of a lifetime.
She folded her arms as Alaina spoke, looking on with a cold, unflinching face. When the type of match came up, Bast opened her mouth to make a suggestion, only for Cersei to speak up first.
”Bast will take you out in a standard match!” She wagged a finger her way. ”No tricks, no excuses. I don’t want anything to take away from my sister’s victory, understand?” She gave Bast a quick slap on the shoulder. ”You’re old, out-of-date, your time’s passed. Yes, you’ve had some luck with your title so far, but that ends when you face my sister. She’s the future of this division, at the top of the mountain, and we’ll show you exactly why that is at the next PPV. So enjoy holding that belt on your shoulder while you can.” She tapped her wrist. ”Your days are numbered, Alaina.”

Re: Angie Samson vs. Bast - Stepping Stone
Alaina shook her head and smiled, lookup up at Cersei. "That is cute, you sound like everyone else who stepped up and got knocked down my little chihuahua mouthpiece." Alaina said before pausing and looking over at Bast. "The rest at least had the courtesy to speak their minds themselves instead of letting someone else do it. So Bast I want to hear from you. You! Why let her do all the talking when someone as big and bad as you should be able to speak for yourself?" Alaina said stepping in the direction of Bast. She wanted to hear from her opponent not her manager sister.
