”Yatta!”
Valerie threw her hands in the air after the final count came down and fell on her back, as the crowd threw a wave of cheers her way. Her heart was threatening to beat out of her chest, she could feel the pangs of dehydration creeping up her leg, and she hurt in so many places that she couldn't count. Her breath was hard, she was soaked with so much sweat that there was already a puddle beneath her. She wouldn’t be getting out of bed for another 24 hours, at the least.
But she felt good. Damn good.
After taking a moment to bask, she sat up and ran her fingers through her hair as she looked Ryu’s way with a weak smile. ”Now,” She blew some hairs out of her face. ”What was that about not losing to a rookie?”

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
He did not have the strength to kick out, Ryu was simply too tired. Once the match was over and he heard his opponent being announced as the winner, he smiled and chuckled. The match, on paper, was a mismatch. Ryu had twice as much wrestling experience as Valley, he was stronger too. However, in the end it did not matter because she had defeated him, fair and square.
He was glad it was over, this meant it was finally time to rest. However, the blonde wasn't going to allow the moment to just go by without gloating just a little bit. He sat up as well, facing her. "Heh...hah....congratulations....but this...is just the beginning" he would say, nodding at her direction before getting back up to his feet. Ryu would grab her arm and pull her up to her feet, raising her hand in the air to show his respect to his opponent.
"Next time, I don't want you to be wrestling at dark events. You're the real deal so next time, we will do it in the main event" he whispered.

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Valerie knew she shouldn’t let this win get to her head. It had been a close call, and while Ryu was far from a pushover, there were stronger opponents in LAW that she would have to test herself against. Bigger guys, bigger women. Wrestlers with styles that she couldn't prepare for, techniques that she hadn't taken, strategies that she would never think to employ. There was a big world of competition out there, and she had only taken the first step.
But it was an important step, and damn, did it feel good.
When Ryu lifted her hands up and helped her bask in the adulation, Valerie took a long sigh, relaxing for the first time in minutes, letting all the tension slide off at once. ”Arigato, Hiroshi-sensei.” She leaned forward for a polite bow. ”And I agree. The next time we wrestle, the stage will be much bigger. I’ll make that happen. Until then, take care of yourself.”
She gave him a small smile, making sure he knew her appreciation was genuine, then made her way through the ropes and headed back up the ramp, keeping her head held high all the while.
