Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
This was not the end of things. It couldn't be.
Granted, no one could say that she hadn't put up a good fight up until. Against a wrestler with not only a power advantage but a vast experience gap, it would’ve been impressive to last for half this long, let alone have moments where she was on the frontfoot. It was a performance that her parents would be proud of. Maybe even her grandmother, as hard to please as she was.
But that wasn’t enough. Valerie wasn’t simply in LAW to do ‘well’, she was here to excel, to win. And she refused to let a loss be the first step on that road. Sure, it was bound to happen sooner or later, but that didn’t mean she had to lay back and accept it.
Ryu, however, seemed to think he was on the cusp of winning this, and she wasn’t in the best position to prove him wrong, to be fair. He hauled her up - by the hair, of course - and she could feel him putting her in the beginnings of a dragon sleeper. Not going to happen.
As he pulled her down Valerie braced her feet and resisted, summoning her strength to not just halt him, but bring him around in the alternate direction. She jerked forward, lifted him up on her shoulders, and made a mad dash forward to ram him against the turnbuckle, looking to smash him against it with an Oklahoma Stampede.

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
At the start of the match, Ryu accused Valerie of nepotism. He thought someone as young as her had no chance of making here unless she had the name Valley Doll. However, by sharing the ring and going head to head against her, his opinion had changed. She was a fierce competitor and a good wrestler, no matter who she was linked to.
Despite the fact that he now respected her, he still was going to win this match. He pulled her up to her feet, ready to wrap his arm around her neck and then take her down to the mat to lock in the body scissor to put in his finishing signature. However, just as he was about to trap her in the dragon sleeper, she began to resist. Grabbing his arm, preventing him to lock it in before bringing him around and lifting him up onto her shoulder.
He gasped in shock, shaking his head while watching her drive forward and slam him back first into the turnbuckle! "Uuuughhhh" he cried out, falling down on his back near the corner.

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
The moment Valerie rammed him against the turnbuckle, she fell down to her knees, only dropping a second before he did the same. As strong as she was, that had been a monumental task. It wouldn’t have been the easiest thing to do near the start of the match, at her freshest, but at this stage it had all but emptied her reserves. She was nearing the point where stamina was going to be a real problem, and she knew that, just based on physics, it wasn’t a department he was likely to outlast him in.
Just a little further. She needed something big to end this, something definitive, and she had a decent idea what to try for - a Shooting Star Press.
Valerie grabbed Ryu by an arm and leg, stood up, and dragged him back a couple of feet, getting him into the perfect position. Knowing time was short, she was quick to step over him and begin her ascent up the ropes, taking a couple of seconds to secure her balane along the way.

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
The counter took him by surprise, he did not expect her to come up with something like that. He was looking to end the match but somehow Valley dug deep and managed to pull off the impressive slam. Letting out a loud grunt in pain, Ryu would slump down on to the mat while clutching his lower back. He laid there, chest huffing and puffing, bronze frame glistening in sweat while he was dazed. The blonde knew this was her chance, she grabbed his arm and leg and dragged him away from the corner while looking to get up to the top turnbuckle.
The Dragon sensed danger, he noticed that Valley positioned him but did not follow up right away. From the corner of his vision he noticed her get up to the top turnbuckle. "Nrgh, no...." he would say, slowly pushing up to a seated position and then crawl to the corner. He would begin climbing up the turnbuckle, chasing after her. He figured this was a perfect chance to go for a top rope slam and end this once and for all.

Almost there, just one more rung and she’d be at the top. As much as Valerie wasn’t too crazy about going up top, she knew a golden opportunity when she saw one, and she couldn' resist the chance to make her namesake freakout. To say nothing on the look on Garf’s face when he-
”Hm?”
Valerie felt a vibration behind her, and looked over her shoulder to see Ryu scaling up the turnbuckle behind her, recovering far faster than she had expected. Not only did that nix her idea a Shooting Star Press, but it also put her in a bad position. All he had to do was reach out, grab her, and send her flying across the ring, and at this point he could likely do enough damage to make that lethal. There wasn’t much she could do to stop him like this, either.
Unless…
Valerie took a deep breath, scaled all the way to top of the turnbuckle, then leaped off, doing a backflip over Ryo, soaring through the air in a perfect arc. She stuck the landing behind him, coming down and dropping to a single knee, reversing the situation in an instant.
Now, she waited to see what he’d do next. She had a fairly good idea what he would try, and if she was right…

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
He did not expect her to be the type of wrestler to go for a top rope maneuver, the fact that she was going for it meant that she was desperate. At this time though, so was he- desperate to stop her from trying to do what she wanted to. Fighting through the pain, he managed to chase after her and climb up the turnbuckle along with her, looking to wrap his arm around her waist and go for a super German Suplex. However, his approach was not so subtle and being a man of his stature, him going for the top rope along with her was not so sneaky as he would have liked.
She got the hint and knew her target was no longer there, causing her to switch her tactic. Valerie then pulled up something amazing, she would stand up the top and then do a blackflip over him- landing gracefully on the canvas down on one knee. "W-wha?" he gasped but quickly turned around, now facing her while on the top. It was a split second decision, he didn't think hard on it and just went with it.
"Owarimashita {its over}" he would say, leaping up off the top turnbuckle at her direction in a cross body formation.

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Ryu leaped into space, careering straight towards. Normally, not the worst idea, he might’ve caught her off guard and flattened her…but Valerie, as it turned out, was ready.
”Got you.”
She ducked down at the last second and rose underneath Ryu as he flew, catching him on her shoulders in a fireman’s carry. She had to stumble for a few seconds, struggling to keep her balance, but she managed to get it all together in the center of the ring. As it so happened, that was exactly where she wanted to be.
With him in the perfect position, Valerie fell to her side and spiked his skull on the mat, hitting Ryu with her finisher - the fabled Death Valley Driver!

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
When he saw Valerie down on one knee, he thought this was the chance to take that leap of faith and end this. Going with his gut feeling, Ryu would jump off the turnbuckle and look to crash land against his opponent! However, it turned out that she was expecting the Dragon to take flight. She would duck down and rose underneath the male, catching him on her shoulders much to the shock of the veteran wrestler. He would shake his head and kick his legs, unable to get free.
She showed her strength and skill, carrying the male over her shoulder and dragging him to the center of the ring before falling to the side and driving him head first into the mat for a death valley driver!! His body crumbled down on the mat, the ring shook a bit from the impact and the male slumped down onto his back, down and completely out!

And the crowd went wild.
Though Valerie hadn't gone for the pin, they all knew that move - it was a match-ender, and she had landed it harder than most. So hard, in fact, that she bounced back a bit after the impact and flopped to her back. She was quick to recover, though, and moved over to push Ryu on his back, not wanting to lose a single moment.
The referee slid over and started up the count. ”1…!”

Re: Ryu Hiroshi vs. Valley Doll III - Smells Like Teen Spirit
The impact was thunderous, the Dragon was driven to the mats with the young woman's finisher and he would lay there barely moving at all. His whole world was spinning, he barely could hear the crowd's reaction of the move.
Valerie took a moment to recover but soon realized that this was her moment, she had to go for the cover. The blonde pushed Ryu over onto his back and let the referee do the rest. "1......2.....3!!!!!"
