Carolina had been looking forward to sending Zero head first into the concrete floor, it was why she had her foe's neck gripped so tightly, she wanted there to nowhere for the energy of the blow to go but up vertically through her spine. There was a special sort of spite that the northern lioness reserved for significantly smaller women, which was why Zero's attempt to counter were more than a little frustrating.

As soon as Zero began to pull tightly against her, Carolina went to work bring her free left hand down for hammer fists, as close to the base of the smaller woman's neck as she could reach, as many times as she could before being lifted up for Zero's suplex.

Zero was right in the middle of executing her Northern Suplex, and Maria felt a chill run through her at the sight. It was always a treat to watch the tiny terror when she hit her stride - she didn’t have the height, she didn’t have the strength, but she could make up for it with cold, brutal efficiency, and once she had the proper momentum, she could be nigh impossible to stop.

But her anticipation was ruined when Carolina had the nerve to fight back, reacting quickly to Zero’s planned counterattack. She was halfway through executing it, preparing for the final plunge, when the woman’s fists came raining down, slamming into the base of her neck, one after the other. Zero held the bigger woman aloft for a few moment, straining to keep her in control with her face shriveled into an iron rictus, but it all got the better of her after a few seconds - she dropped down to her knees, returning Carolina to the canvas, but she still kept the bigger woman close with a tight hold around her waist, instinctively protecting herself even in these dire straits.

Carolina had succesfully forced Zero to give up on her suplex attempt and put her back down after the Ice lioness had rained down plenty of hammer fists to the back of her neck. That certainly saved the woman from what would have been a great deal of pain, but the green haird woman remained attached to her, gripping her tightly. Carolina did have some options, however. In a pure test of strength, Isljoninna was certain she'd be able to overpower the wrestle angel, so while there would definitely be easier things to attempt, she still had intentions of carrying through with some version of what Zero had interrupted.

Carolina would attempt to create space with her foe by trying to pry her arms away from her body, while kneeing her in the chest. If Carolina managed to create enough space, while keeping opponent kneeling, she'd wrap one leg around Zero's neck and attempt to send her face first to the arena floor with a leg hook DDT, before moving to quickly climb back into the ring.
