Re: The True Hollywood Story
Yeah, Alicia was right. And Dizzy knew she was right. She just really didn’t want her to be right.
She sighed and nodded along with the words about her Mom, looking off to the side and letting a little sadness seep into her smile. One day, they would need to have ‘the talk’, and Dizzy knew she wasn’t even remotely prepared for it. ”Yeah, that’ll be a fun conversation. ‘Hey, Mom, I know you have this idea of me carrying on your legacy and doing the family proud and coming up in the business, but I’d rather do sexfighting and have hot, sexy ladies sit on my face for a living. What’s that? You’re having a heart attack? Well, shit’.” She had a quick, nervous chuck. ”Not looking forward to that. But you’re not wrong.”
Dizzy enjoyed the sight of Alicia warming up, but she also told her body to get ready for what was coming her way. She was still 100% aware that this woman could’ve annihilated her in the ring if she’d wanted to, and it wasn’t just because of the size difference. She had skill and lots of it, far exceeding her current level, and there would only be so much of that she could hold back in a spar. Dizzy had to be on her toes if she wanted to keep it up here. Even more than that if she wanted to impress the Siren…which, yeah, she kind of did.
”I mean, ‘think’ nothing, most of them can flatten me, but…” She let her voice taper off as Alicia started to move her way - it was go time, the woman was already coming in. Maybe not moving at her top gear, but quick enough that Dizzy had to pay her some heed.
She moved in to meet her opponent and ducked under the big boot, maybe doing so a tad too late. Whatever the case, she didn’t have time to dwell on it, as she whipped around and had her opponent’s wide open back to work with. What to do, what to do…
More on reflex than anything, Dizzy leaped up and tried to catch the bigger woman in a sleeper from behind, wrapping her arms around the neck in a tight hold. She was immediately struck with deja vu, though - had she tried this before?

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Alicia definitely got Desdemona's reservations, and though not big on sympathetic smiling, she offered a brief one at the other woman's reaction. "You gotta think about it this way. You think she loves you more or less than the idea of you bein' top dog in the ring?" While she knew part of it was not wanting to reveal the whole thing about liking other girls dominating her, she figured a lot of it came back to legacy. "Think she's figured out that you ain't as big as her and will probably never be the same wrestler. You gotta get her used to the idea that you can do your own thing." She made it sound a lot simpler than the conversation would end up being, yeah, but she kind of had to if it meant the difference as opposed to Dizzy's never getting to do what she wanted. That was no life.
As she rushed and kicked, Dizzy moved with maybe a bit too much hesitation to dodge that from a woman at least closer to Alicia in speed. A middleweight with some good athleticism would have run right through her, though at least in that case, the boot wouldn't hurt so much. As Alicia landed on that foot, she was already instructing. "You wanna be decisive on that. Keep one plan to evade if the woman's coming right at your middle line. Don't think about it, just do it." Sounded a lot like dancing, and that was because it was. If Alicia had learned anything during her multiple years training and training others, it was that wrestling was all about two bodies moving around each other.
"What people think's a lot of this game, too," she added as a retort to Dizzy's words, just as she felt the woman hop onto her back. That was...a sort of good idea, she guessed, if Desdemona had the arms to actually put her in danger. She didn't, yet. As Dizzy sank in with the sleeperhold, Alicia knew the smart move for her as the bigger woman was not to try to fall backward, but to run her into a turnbuckle. Most of the bigger women, though, didn't know that, and she wanted to simulate that bigger woman who only knew how to throw her weight around. Her hands came up to struggle with the arm and wiggle her hands into the space between her neck and Desdemona's appendage, since even small arms could choke enough to put someone to sleep, and like a foolish bigger woman would, she fell so that Dizzy would hit the floor with her on top.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
It was funny how easy it was for an outsider to break things down like that, but Dizzy couldn't deny that Alicia was hitting the nail on the head. It really was as simple as just talking to her Mom, but then, even the simplest things could be hard when it came to family, couldn't they? She couldn't even imagine what the right words to say would be. Maybe Alicia was right, and she’d be more understanding than she might think, but what if she wasn’t? What if it forced some kind of divide between them? Dizzy would be fine on her own financially, she could make a decent career in Japan, but the last thing she wanted was to create some kind of divide between her and her only parent. The two of them really just had each other, and that was the way it had been for so long…
That was enough of that. Of all the reasons she’d come here and gotten Alicia to meet her, therapy hadn't been one of them. She appreciated the words, but she had to let them sit for a while.
For now, she tried to focus on her sparring and what she could employ on Alicia. She hopped on top with the sleeperhold and locked it in, giving it enough pressure to not be comfortable, but not enough to really choke. She figured she probably couldn't have done all that much to Alicia even with 100%, but it was worth a shot. Wear her down a little, make her easier to handle. It seemed like a solid idea.
Right up until the moment Alicia fell back and smashed her against the floor, at least.
Dizzy squeaked at the impact and her arms fell away in an instant, her entire hold becoming undone. She still had the wherewithal to know that she was in a bad spot, and she reacted on instinct - she tried to pull her way out from under Alicia and roll to the ropes, hoping to get there for a temporary respite, seeking sanctuary before the tide could turn even further against her.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
As it turned out, the "lazy heavyweight fallback" proved too much for Dizzy. Alicia was starting to figure out that she had plenty she could work on with the other woman. She figured Mama Belti had taught her a lot, but she also got the notion that she had done a lot of holding back. With Desdemona's arms giving up their advantage with the sleeperhold, Alicia was totally free to move and to speak. "You wanna keep that hold even if it hurts," she told her. "Once you hit the ground, as long as you don't let the other girl turn over, it won't get any worse. Hold on and she won't have much she can do."
It was too late for all that, so Alicia acted as any good wrestler would and started to whip around. Dizzy was already going for an escape, and since Alicia wasn't as heavy as some girls, she pulled away pretty easily. At first, anyway. Having seen a lot of the more technical wrestlers do this sort of thing, Alicia got onto her knees behind the escaping Italian before reaching out, trying to grab her by the ankle. If she got her, she was going to pull her back to the middle of the ring and try to sink in the world's least painful ankle lock. "Don't leave your legs behind. If you've gotta get away, roll," she told her without missing a beat.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
In Dizzy’s mind, it made sense to go to the ropes as soon as you found yourself in a bad spot - after all, they were the closest thing you had in a match to a time out, so why not abuse it?
Alicia pointed out the flaw in her logic, almost as if she could read her mind- turning tale was only a good move if you had a real chance of getting away. In this case and in real life, that wouldn’t always be so.
She got a more direct demonstration of the consequences when Alicia reached over and snatched her ankle, holding it tight and reeling her in like the catch of the day. Dizzy reached out for the ropes, but unfortunately for her, she did not miraculously develop the stretching powers she would’ve needed for grasping them at this point. She was trapped.
Lucky for her, Alicia had no interest in breaking her ankle, but the hold was still a far cry from pleasant.
”Right, roll, got it.” Dizzy made a mental note to remember that as she flailed about in the hold, looking for a way out. There was no way she could just pull herself out of this, Alicia was way too strong for that. But maybe…
If there was ever a time experiment, that time was now. Dizzy pushed up on her arm to alleviate the pressure, then tried to spin around to her back, hoping she could reel the bigger woman and kick her away once she had a momentary opening. She felt she’d seen someone beat this move in a similar way, but she wasn’t sure if she could pull it off.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Alicia caught her minnow, and since most any idiot could figure out how to bend an ankle so it hurt, the bigger woman tucked the Italian's foot against her chest and gave it a little twist, the same someone would get stumbling during a basketball game. It was enough to worry her and make her want to free herself before it hurt more, but not enough to do any damage. She had to get rid of the childish idea in her head to tickle her, too. If she wanted Dizzy to learn anything, best not turn this into anything too silly too quickly, and her time working with the trainees while she came up with her ring persona had taught her she didn't want to let anyone down in training so they got their asses sent to the hospital later. And based on their match, Dizzy ran that risk.
She had a bad case of the one-legged hops while she tried to figure a way to get out, too. Alicia also knew when too much advice was bad advice; some people had to figure out their own way to get out of things. It wasn't like Alicia had a great ankle lock escape, either. Mostly with her, it just came down to power and using her figure to its fullest. Dizzy didn't have that, so what good did Alicia's advice do in this situation?
The answer was none, since Dizzy came up with her own solution, and a good one at that. Alicia didn't exactly have the foot in a bearhug, but she did feel a good snatch when Dizzy pushed up and spun herself over. Still gripping like that generic heavyweight, Alicia lurched toward Dizzy under the force of that yank and was pleasantly surprised (and plenty thrown off balance) when she nearly toppled down on top of her but was then kicked away with enough force that a less graceful woman might have landed hard on her ass. The half-Latin beauty only didn't because of their pace and because she let herself fall so that she only landed and skidded a few feet back on her thighs and rear.
But despite the lack of a proper flop from the heavyweight, the wisdom behind the move was no less impressive, and Alicia sat there with the closest thing to appreciation on her face. "That's good stuff," she simply complimented, before throwing her shoulders backward onto the mats and sprawling like a woman flattened. She even let one thick leg dangle dramatically in the air before it fell back down to the mat.
"Now, with some offense after that, what would you do?", she asked the ceiling as she stared up at it.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Dizzy had to be careful, here - really careful. While she trusted Alicia about as much as anyone could trust a person they’d known for a grand total of fifteen minutes, she was still holding her by the ankle, and she was painfully aware that this woman could snap it like a twig if she wanted to, without even trying all that hard. As sexy as she was, as plush and pleasing of a body as she had, they’d been close enough together in the match that she could feel the muscles under that skin. Not including her Mom, this was the strongest person Alicia had ever shared the ring with.
That being said, Dizzy’s fears stemmed less from having her ankle broke and more from having to explain how that happened to her Mom.
All the worry was for naught, anyway, as the move went off without a hitch. Well, sort of. Dizzy had the strong suspicion that her little trick wouldn’t have done much if Alicia was for real, but against the 90% of the roster that wasn’t built like a Latin brickhouse? That would do fine. The appreciative look on her sparring partner’s face was good confirmation, and she sold it well, too, going down in a heap after she dropped. She even put some theatrics on top of it with the leg flop. Nice touch.
Dizzy had to put her hand to her mouth to keep the giggles in, but she was cut off when Alicia asked her what the next step was. She popped back to her feet fast and looked from side to side, letting the possibilities fly - too many possibilities. She was running out of time, second-guessing herself, do something…
Elbow drop? Elbow drop. ”Elbow drop!”
Dizzy rushed over, brought her arm up, and came down to drive her elbow into Alicia’s chest. She made sure not to get too crazy with it, only falling a little ways and not slamming her nearly as hard as she could. Not that she could’ve done much to hurt someone like this if she’d been 100%, but better safe than sorry.

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Alicia had to wait about a pang too long for Dizzy to show up and do anything, but then, she guessed she had put the girl on the spot. Those few seconds had the impatient beauty tempted to peek up and see what might be going on in the smaller woman's head, but she resisted. As it turned out, after her waiting, she wouldn't have to wonder what Dizzy was doing since she called it out. The heavyweight had to let out a single snicker. "Don't think you wanna yell it, but yeah..."
She saw Dizzy come back into her vision again, and Alicia instinctively tensed from watching her drop with her quite bony elbow. The Italian's lightweight maneuver hit a scrunched up pair of tits supported by muscle, so Alicia really didn't feel much more than a thump and jolt through her chest. That jolt wasn't bad for Dizzy moving at half-intensity, though, and it and definitely worse for someone who was not lying there totally ready for it. Alicia again gave her a sell that only happened below the neck as she grasped at her chest; she otherwise just looked up at her expectantly, her long hair spread all over the mat from her shifting around. "Got me on the mat, stunned me. What's next, chica?"

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Wow, Alicia was soft. The right kind of soft, too. She knew that already, but landing on her with the elbow just emphasized how much padding she had to work with. This was the sort of body she could lay on without her feet ever touching the ground, and she’d made it oh-so clear that she wouldn’t mind giving it a try.
Those were the thoughts swirling through her head when Alicia asked her what came next, spoken while she laid there, big and beautiful with her wild hair splayed in every direction. It was more than a little distracting for Dizzy, and it caused her to think of two different answers.
In her head: ”I wrap my arms around your neck, pull you in for a wild kiss, then just lay on top of you and spend the next few seconds making out. You roll on top of me, pin me down, maybe say something sexy in that accent of yours, then you bury me under those awesome breasts, and we just enjoy each other for either a half-hour or until dehydration kicks in. Your choice.”
Out loud, after a moment of lip chewing: ”Pinning, I got you.” She snapped to attention and moved into position, forcing herself to get a little serious. If she was ever going to make this whole wrestling thing work, she couldn't lose her head every time she made skin contact with a sexy girl - though, being fair, Alicia was about as sexy as they came.
She slid down her sparring partner’s body, wrapped her arms around one of the same thighs that had nearly squeezed her lifeless the last time they fought, and lift it up for a pin. Her mother’s instructions clicked in a half-second later, and she corrected her foot placement to get the most out of her weight, letting it all come down on top of Alicia. ”This good?”

Re: The True Hollywood Story
Alicia could smell the grease on Dizzy's mental cogs, and at first, she thought the girl might be having trouble coming up with an answer. But considering the reputation Dizzy had already given herself between her match antics and her self-admission of her wild addiction to hot women, Alicia decided she might have spent that time thinking on the matter of what to do with a siren lying splayed on the floor. When she didn't act on anything like that or propose it, Alicia just tweaked her head in a shrug and watched as Dizzy slowly put together what was a decently executed pin as her leg was lifted above her and the little Italian shifted her own stance into something that looked like it had some good teaching behind it.
Totally fresh, Alicia could have probably thrown her to the mat with the one leg, but she knew (hoped?) Dizzy wouldn't go for anything like this unless the other girl was half-wiped. Like an opponent half-wiped, she lay there while wiggling her own toes in the air. "That's good. You get me tired before this, and I have to wear myself out more to get out of a decent pin. Everything'll just adds up."
After three or four seconds, she finally lightly kicked out, putting a little effort into pulling Dizzy down to the mat with the steady lowering of her leg. "Pin don't work, though. Got any submissions to keep me down?" She couldn't remember Dizzy doing much of the submission thing in their match, and frankly, she didn't have the biggest frame to really grind someone out. Some technical holds, though? She felt like someone trained by a longtime pro could probably pull a couple of those off.
