Collision Course! Bast vs. Stone [Apex Qualifier]

Unread post by BlackAkuma »

“Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”

Ah, yes. Cersei loved the sound of idiots in the evening. If there was a better way to usher in the midnight hours, she didn’t know of it.

She took her time to bask in the audience’s hate as she and Bast stood in the middle of the ring, waiting for her entrance music to die down. She waved the microphone about in her hand, a knowing smile on her face, while her sister stood like a statue in the center of the ring, really savoring the moment. It was good that they were getting such a reaction early on, and she credited her online antics for that as much as she did Bast’s bombastic debut. While it hadn't been the crushing success that she’d craved, it had done a wonderful job of putting eyes on them. People were talking, Debates were happening. Talk of Bast’s place in the heavyweight division, potential matchups, whispers of the championship, things of that nature. It was the right kind of hype, and she loved to stoke the fire.

It took a few moments for the crowd to cool down enough for her to get a word in edgewise. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, then spoke with a voice lathered in honey. ”Welcome, one and all.” Cersei gave them all a half-hearted wave, then began to strut around the room, hands on hips, circling Bast with a leisurely stroll. ”I know it might be difficult for some of you to remember, what with your pathetically poor attention spans, but I want you to think back to two weeks ago. I came out and told you what my sister was here to do, told you that she would be a dominating force in LAW. I was not taken seriously. I could see the doubt of your faces, the murmurs, the looks of disbelief as Bast prepared to fight not one, but two men at the same time. And what occurred?”[color]

She moved over to Bast’s side and put a hand on her sister’s shoulder, looking over her with beaming pride. ”She defeated them. Handily.”

‘Handily’ was, perhaps, a bit of an exaggeration, but the manager's purpose was not to undersell her client.

”LAW’s heavyweight division has no shortage of stars. The devastating Astrid Ostberg. The legendary Katherine Hart. The dominating Karen Starring. And Alaina Sanders…” Cersei looked down with a low chuckle, shaking her head, as if she had just remembered her own, private joke.

”Well, we’ll all be seeing you in time. But until then, my sister needs to keep proving herself to you. Needs to remind you of her worth. Needs to show you all why she is the most dominant force in LAW today. And to that end, she must slay bigger prey, stronger prey, victims that can truly test her might. For we do not believe in idle boasts.”

She stood at the center ring now as Bast began to warm up, hopping on her toes and loosening up her arms. They both knew the test she was in for tonight, and that there would be no room for anything less than her 100%. If she faltered, if she was weak, if she didn’t come with her absolute best, she would be ran over like so many before her, and her momentum would come to a screeching halt.

”Tonight, the goddess goes to war! Tonight, she challenges Stone!"

"Now hold on just a damn minute!" A more than familiar voice blurted out over the PA system. Soon enough, the origin of the voice made herself known, as the infamous manager of Stone began to walk upon the entrance ramp, clad in her usual attire. She was a beauty to behold for sure, deep red hair, a body to die for. There was no doubt Stick was a known presence in the LAW given who she managed. It was such a shame she was such a loud mouth and intolerable!
"Devastating Astrid?!... Legendary Katherine?! Ha! Dominating Karen Starring?! Alaina... I'm hearing a lot of names there... but you seemed to miss out the most important one of them all. Now I don't know if you did this as a slight... I reckon it's more likely you simply do not know and that your just a bit thick in the head... but one name that should have been mentioned... Is the Unstoppable Stone!!" Stick would roar out, her beautiful features turning into a deep brown. Whilst there was no love for Stick from the crowd, there was certainly a great amount of respect for Stone given how much the giant of a wrestler entertained.

"What you consider a challenge... what you consider a... so called war?! It's barely even a Skirmish for my Stone! Perhaps it is time we educate you little upstarts!"
With those final words, Stick would motion her arm, just in time for Stone's entrance music to explode upon the PA system. The crowd certainly couldn't help but cheer. Stick without a doubt was somewhat of a pantomime style heel, but Stone was always a joy to watch. Without a doubt she was considered amongst the strongest of the LAW roster. Not only did she have height, but she was broad and muscular, and an imposing presence to behold as she walked from behind the curtain in a menacing manner. It was hard to believe the giant of a woman was so docile without command from Stick... but when Stick was commanding her, she was a force to be reckoned with.

Even now in the low theatrical lights, her body was a marvel, looking as if it was sculpted from fantasy in a statuesque form. With Stone now by her side, the small Stick began to lead her towards the ring, giving a sadistic smile to both Cersei and her charge Bast. With it being an Apex Qualifier, this was tonights main event of the night, and a most highly anticipated match seeing as both women were powerful heavyweights. The moment Stone stepped over all three ropes however, it was clear there was some difference in height between Stone and Bast. Stick remained at ring side, that over confident grin still washed over her beautiful features. Stone stood almost looking uncaring, not even gazing upon her opposition but seemingly just staring ahead.

As Stone’s music began to die down, chatter could be heard amongst the fans, wondering just exactly how such a match with two behemoths would play out. Stick certainly looked confident, her eyes upon her current rival Cersei as all they waited for was the bell to start the match. The moment that familiar sound began to ring out, Stick shouted a command.
“Crush her!”
Stone seemed to morph in an instant. Her muscles tensed and seemingly grew, her placid expression turning into one of anger. All at once, Stone rampaged forwards, her heavy footsteps clashing against the ring as she tried to meet with Bast in a large grapple, looking to overpower the fellow wrestler if she could get her hands upon her!

Bast was looking forward to this.

It might’ve seemed like a simple, silly thing for her to think, but it was a rare feeling. Most of the time, in 99%, she was always pitted against someone who was at least physically inferior to. While she had occasionally come across opponents who could match her in one way or another, there were few who had her variety of talents. Maybe they were big, but they lacked her speed. Maybe they had her technique, but not the power she brought to the table. Maybe they were strong, but unused to dealing with such a heavy striker.

It was a rare thing to find someone with the potential to run her over, to pose a full challenge, someone that could potentially do to her as she’d done to others. But, as she stood in the ring and looked up that imposing Stone, she believed that she might have found such a woman.

Cersei had told her that this woman was big, bigger than her, but her sister had done a poor job impressing just how stark the difference was. The two were close in terms of physique, but that height difference was nothing to be scoffed at. This was a towering titan of muscle, ripped from head to toe, casting a shadow that stretched across the ring. It was hard to compare them at a glance - yes, Stone was taller, but would that make her more powerful overall? In what ways were they equal, in what ways were they superior.

There were many questions to ask, and for once, Bast was eager to answer. No holding back, no regrets, no feelings of remorse over a battered opponent. This was her chance to truly cut loose.

The bell couldn't ring soon enough.

When it did, Bast had only begun to raise her fists up when Stick’s cry rang out, and Stone’s demeanor changed like a light switch. Even she was taken aback as the woman hurled herself into her with full fury, grappling with her in a furious grip. She was forced back at a rapid pace, experiencing power she could only have dreamed about before. One step, two steps, three, four, five, the ropes were close now, six, seven-

Samira!

Cersei’s voice shocked some sense into her, and she slammed her foot down with enough force to make the ring tremble, hardening her base and putting a stop to Stone’s forward momentum. The ropes were nearby, just a foot away, but she hadn't hit them quite yet. She couldn't push her foe back, but she wasn’t giving anymore ground, either, forcing the two into a stalemate.

Bast pressed her forehead hard against Stone’s, mashing their skulls together, meeting the woman’s snarling face with a granite grimace.

Stick managed a sly smile. Even she could not deny the impressive sight of Bast! At first it looked like Stone would steamroll her, each pace gaining ground, sliding Bast backwards towards her own corner with frightening ease despite the other heavyweight standing her ground. Something changed however, and with a call from Cersei, Bast seemed to regroup before she could be crushed against the corner. Her own form seemed to tense up and strain, and each step from Stone began to slow, until Stone wasn't moving at all. Both women were locked up in a test of strength, muscles nearly bulging, tension high as limbs shook and fought for control. It was certainly a display to behold, but Stick still looked confident despite the fact that the smaller wrestler was able to match Stone for power.
"Not bad..." Stick sang out, letting the display continue as the crowd could not help but watch the sheer display in awe.

The two were locked in a stalemate, giving Stick some precious information that Bast was not to be underestimated. Placing fingers to her own pursed lips, Stick blew out an unusual whistle towards Stone. All at once, the crowd began to cheer loudly, not caring about alignment in this match but simply the display they were about to witness as two behemoths would go at it. Right now... it looked like Bast was winning the test of strength. Stone began to pace back, with Bast edging her over the stalemate... one step.... two steps... faster and gradually faster. The smaller of the heavyweights was retaking lost ground, and before she knew it... gaining ground! Stone's expression never changed, she still looked furious, fighting against Bast's strength...

"Up and over!" Stick called out suddenly. Stone's eyes widened, hearing the command from her manager. All at once, Bast could feel the sudden raw power pressing against her returning. The grip against her own arms shifted suddenly, with Stone reaching towards the sides of her chest with a powerful grasp. Gravity began to alter, as Stone fell backwards, bringing Bast with her and all the momentum she had gained. Her feet left the ground, as she was hoisted upwards, before being flipped over Stone's head in a unique overhead suplex. The crowd gasped out loud, as Stone looked to fall back and launch Bast overhead... right towards the opposite turnbuckle for a potentially devastating flip! The look on Stick's face was of pure arrogance as she leaned on the other turnbuckle upon the other side of the ropes.
"As I said... Unstoppable..." Stick would sing, looking at her own nails.

For a match that was less than a minute old, the audience was getting quite riled up. While it wasn’t as if matches like this never happened in LAW, they were an infrequent enough spectacle that they recognized the rarity of it, knew that something like this wouldn’t be coming their way too often. It wasn’t just the size of the wrestlers that drew eyes their way, but the ferocity, the passion on their faces as they locked horns. This wasn’t a battle between two wrestlers, it was a primal fight between brawling beasts, and it wouldn’t be over until one of them broke.

That was a spectacle. That was worth seeing.

Cersei was enjoying it, too, especially now that things were moving back in Bast’s favor. Her sister had been merely caught off guard by the behemoth. Understandable - women like this didn't push into her everyday. It was one of the reasons she pushed so hard for this match to happen. As good as it was for Bast to dismantle smaller women, she needed to sharpen her iron on someone who could hold up and hit back as hard as she could every now and then. Keep that killer instinct alive.

It was working, too, as Bast drove the giant further back. It even seemed like she might win the exchange entirely, opening Stone up for a more devastating move, something to take control of the early match.

Then Stick spoke, and it all changed.

Bast’s eyes widened as her opponent dipped down, gripped her tight, and had the distinct honor of being the first - and likely one of the few - women in LAW to throw her with a suplex. She was sent soaring overhead, careering across the ring, and came down hard on her shoulders in the corner, with her legs flopping against the pads to leave her upside down.

It was far from a pleasant experience, sending a shock up and down Bast’s body, but she could take a hit like that and rise up. The worst thing about it by far was just the disorientation. It slowed her down for a moment, as she gripped the ropes and rose to her feet in the corner , using the pads for added support.

Not a good look, and Cersei had no qualms pointing it out. ”Pathetic! The form on her suplex is inferior!” She spat, making sure Stick could hear her on the other side. ”Don’t let this dullard get the better of you, sister! She’s nothing!”

The ring seemed to shake and shudder the moment Bast made impact. It was not the most graceful of suplexes nor landings, but the sight of one heavyweight tossing another as if she weighed little was always one to get the crowd going, as an eruption of applause began to flood the arena. It was soon turned to jeers however as it would be Stick who ruined the moment as always, motioning towards the crowd with an arrogant look on her face, as if it was all her work that lead to the big motion between two heavyweight wrestlers. Stick's expression shifted rapidly seeing how the crowd responded to her, as she unloaded a few profanities their way before turning her attention back to Stone and Bast.

Stone looked as impassive as ever, rolling one of her shoulders from the effort she exerted, whilst Bast was climbing to her feet, looking none the worse despite her ordeal. No doubt Bast would be a tough nut to break open judging from how well she took the slam, more information to take note of as Stick chewed lightly on the side of her lip. The toss was certainly an impressive sight, but Bast looked like she could endure it, and it would take more than simply throwing her around to keep this one down.
"No slacking now Stone..." Stick yelled out, clapping her hands a few times. Stone instantly responded, as if she was some kind of machine simply waiting for command. She began to pace towards Bast as she was still rising, reaching to grasp at the back of her neck with one large hand as the other seized her by her arm.

If Bast was not fully up before, she was now as Stone pulled on her hard. She rotated her massive frame, bringing Bast with her before she would hurl her towards the ropes! The moment Bast was sent dashing with heavy thuds against the ring surface, Stone positioned herself towards the centre, looking to intercept her stampeding foe. Stick clapped again... this time twice, making Stone hunker down in her position as Bast came back. It was clear she was going to go for some kind of slam like move, as she quickly darted forwards to try and clash against Bast. However... if Bast was quick enough, there was potential to slip under or perhaps even counter the fellow monster of a woman... if not... Stone looked like she was shooting for a big and heavy spine buster against her fellow heavyweight opposition!

All the pageantry from Stick wasn’t going unnoticed by Cersei on the other side of the ring. She was often criticized online for treating Bast like a trained animal, telling her where to go and what to do in the ring. It was all a load of nonsense from people who knew nothing of her relationship with her sister, but if those people thought she was overbearing, Stick would throw them into an apoplectic fit. Even she could go five seconds without butting into Bast’s matches, but the redhead seemed more animated than the woman she was managing, punctuating almost all of her moves.

It was an interesting observation, but one that Bast wasn’t in much of a position to take notice of. Her concern was more on the behemoth that was currently lumbering straight towards her.

She was just standing up when the woman moved in and seized her by the head, forcing her upward and taking control of her movement. The next thing that the Pantheress knew, she was being hurled off towards the ropes with a hard Irish Whip, sent running forward at full pace, just barely managing to move fast enough to keep her feet beneath her.

But she wasn’t helpless. Far from it, in fact.

Instead of resisting the motion, she threw herself into it, picking up the pace and running even faster when she came off the ropes. Speed wasn’t her forte, but she wasn’t slow by any real measure, and when she had room enough to run and cause enough to do it, she could garner some real momentum. That was what she came at Stone with now, storming her way, a runaway freight train with a mountain in its path.

The moment they were in range of each, Bast sprung into action and leaped forward, bringing her legs up and cycling through them as she went. She gathered force with the motion, building off it, and used it all when she shot her leg straight out, firing a powerful pump kick straight at Stone’s unwavering face.

Stone's attempt to hoist Bast up and slam her back down did not quite go to plan. Bast proved to be just as tough as she looked, barely dazed by the earlier slam and very much alert to what was going on. Stick's eyes widened as she noticed Bast offering no resistance to the Irish Whip once she got going, in fact she virtually threw herself at the ropes to help propel her rebound with more momentum and purpose. There was no time to tell Stone to guard herself, as she looked committed to grasp and slam her opponent... as such, the giant of a woman ate all of the powerful pump kick. The crowd gasped out loud as the impact was heard all through the arena, and Stone's head and entire upper body whipped back from the hard clash.

How she never collapsed was a story unto itself, though the giant of a woman was still left staggering from the impact of the fine strike. A few times it looked like she might go down, but a quick call out from Stick brought Stone out of her dazed stupor.
"Stone! Don't you take that kind of crap from a little pipsqueak like her!" Stick would bellow out, leaping upwards onto the bottom rope to give herself a little more height as she clutched the top one to support her slender frame. It was quite a notion to call another heavyweight a pipsqueak to be certain, given that Bast was a towering presence in her own right. Stone did have a considerable height advantage however, which no doubt warranted Stick's call out. In truth it was a testament to Bast's ability she was able to launch such a kick so deftly despite her size and build. Stick was quickly discovering that this was not going to be the quick affair she hoped it would be... and it was clear how Stone was left staggering that Bast had the power to inflict damage on her larger foe.

"Take her down!!" Stick would demand. Shaking the cobwebs, Stone rolled her shoulders, her face going from bewilderment to an expression of determination. Regaining her posture, the larger woman would stampede towards Bast, raising one of her massive arms in an attempt to bulldoze right into Bast's chest with a colossal clotheline! The only issue was, it was perhaps a little too telegraphed. So much so that Stick herself noticed, and fully expected Bast to duck under... as such, Stick gave a little unique whistle. Stone's eyes widened when she heard it, and the moment she passed over Bast, she was quick to twist around, following up her telegraphed clotheline with a second from her other massive arm. This one was aimed low however, in a unique swooping motion in an attempt to try and swipe Bast's legs from under her!

”What?”

Cersei wasn’t surprised with the way Bast executed her kick. Far from it, really - she landed the move with perfect form, scoring a hit that she should’ve been proud of. The follow through was solid, the motion was fluid, and the impact was worthy of her namesake - a godly sort of blow that would’ve lain out 99% of the women on earth, if not knocked them unconscious outright.

Stone, as it turned out, was the 1%.

Hence Cersei’s surprise, when the mammoth women stayed standing despite taking the hit full on, defiant in her resistance. She staggered, of course, teetering this way and tottering that way, but she held on and kept her feet planted, even managing to gather her senses with Stick’s urging.

As she did with almost every move she made, a dynamic that Cersei wasn’t missing. ”What is this woman, a Pokemon?”

Bast, meanwhile, was stuck dealing with more pertinent matters, watching as Stone’s demeanor changed, turning fiery and focused, the prelude to another attack. Sure enough, the woman came stampeding her way once more, this time leading with a deadly, if predictable, lariat, one that she had no issue ducking under.

The followup was a little trickier. Bast wasn’t expecting Stone to whip around, and she certainly wasn’t expecting another lariat aimed at her legs, but that was precisely what she got, as a massive, clubbing arm slammed into her thighs and destroyed her base. There was no avoiding what was going to happen: She was going to fall.

But that did not mean she had to fall alone.

As Bast flopped over backward, she swung her leg out in a wide arc, attempting to hit Stone with a kick to the head on her way down and turn all that momentum against her.

The crowd gasped once more, watching as Stone took a second big hit to the head. Once more her head whipped to the side, but the strike did not seem to connect as well as before given the circumstances. However, the giant of a woman had still been caught off guard by the clear counter, and was knocked off balance. The crowd all gasped again, seeing Stone drop to one knee... but she did not go down. In truth the counter had been a master class move, as Stone would have been right over Bast had she not thought quickly as she did. It gave her a chance to regroup, as Stick could be heard shouting profanities at ring side, clapping her hands and urging Stone to rise.

The crowd were beginning to already feel the momentum of the match, cheering the arena down at the display of two heavyweights. It was already promising to be an epic Apex Qualifier match. Twice within the first opening moments did Bast nearly topple Stone, landing clear cut kicks that would have decimated anyone else. Stone was a pillar of toughness though, but the crowd could feel it... if anyone could drop her, it was feeling like Bast would be able to do so in near record time. For now the beast of a woman remained standing however, but a drop to the knee was significant progress.

By the time Stone was up again, Bast would have had time to recover also. Though she got a good hit in, she had been taken down herself with a colossal strike of Stone's own. Seeing her get swept up was a sight in its own right by the powerful swing of the taller wrestler.
"Bring the fight to your level Stone!" Stick would call out, glaring at Bast with wide and angry eyes, clearly unsettled at how Bast was able to land two clean strikes so far. Stick was on guard, she knew this was going to be a fight and not the walk in the park she was hoping for. There was still a confidence in her all things considered... Stick was just alert that she would have to keep on top of the game for this one and get Stone through it.

With her subtle command already issued, she watched as Stone once again began to close the distance upon Bast. The large woman came forwards, her hands outwards as she looked to charge into Bast and crush her right into the corner turnbuckle!
