A Fabulous Epilogue

Doctor Fabulous was all smiles right now, even despite any pain she was in. She won her Apex Match in a grueling affair, all in front of her hometown crowd in Los Angeles. And she could not be any more proud of herself or feel anymore happy. She was being grabbed for brief interviews as she could get out, happily talking to the LAW reporters and a couple local reporters with her signature charm. If anything, Doc Fab was certainly a great personality with the media, and she always took to it very well.

And after having brief exchanges with fellow colleagues, wrestler and staff alike, being congratulated for her win, and then responding with a thank you, continuing as she made her way to the medical room. Her shoulder was hurting like she couldn't believe, and despite smiling through it and the euphoria of her win dulling that pain, she knew she needed it checked. The rest of the pain just seemed like run of the mill aches and pains after an intense match, but the shoulder could stand to have a closer look.

Fabulous walked into the medical room and then paused, her smile faltering a little bit when she saw perhaps the most obvious other person being checked on already: it was her opponent from earlier, Vera Sapphire. While Doc Fab was stopped after the match multiple times, fielding questions as the winner, she was aware Vera probably needed more immediately check up on the leg that had been broken down during the course of the match. Still, they were both adults in a competitive environment. This shouldn't be an issue.

Taking a deep breath, the Good Doctor made her way to the table beside Vera's giving her a polite nod. An icebreaker might benefit here, at least to get a feel for how Sapphire was feeling since they'd have to be spending time together until they both got discharged from medical. "If your leg looks that bad, I'd hate to see what you did to the other girl," joked Fabulous, offering a good-natured smile as she pat her hurt shoulder gently. She decided she would let that linger, gauging the response of Sapphire before continuing on, waiting for another member of the medical team to attend to her.

Vera's mood couldn't be more opposite to Fabulous's. The ex-idol first requested to make her way to the toilet. People congratulated her for a hard fought match...but without a win, those words sounded hollow...they sounded like pity, which the blunette didn't want at the moment. As a medic tried to help her to a medical room, she excused herself for a moment, hobbling towards a bathroom...

...and, once she confirmed that no one was there, cried her eyes out for a good 2 minutes. She needed this... to vent, quietly express her sadness...

She was a show woman for a while now. With a bit of water, and an inner switch, the medic was none the wiser on what Vera was doing inside, getting to her destination as a professional checked up on her...

...right as Fabulous entered the room.

...and surprisingly, had 0 feelings of anger towards her foe. Yes, it was because of her that she lost, that her leg was hurting like hell...but surprisingly, a cute face and being a tenacious foe was more than enough to earn Vera's respect...and admiration.

Plus, having a sense of humor helped the situation immensely:

"Huhuhuhu...well...her shoulder didn't look too good by the end...", Vera smiled at the blonde: "Good match, by the way. Congratulations on winning...", the Russian said sincerely.

Doctor Fabulous gave a shrug as a warm smile at Vera's response. A polite joke in return. Congratulations. It seemed like she had nothing to worry about right now. At the very least, they'd be able to get through this encounter at the medical room. "Thank you," answered the Good Doctor. "A victory achieved with having to push each and every one of my limitations," she added, wanting to ensure that Vera was also given the praise she deserved.

The blonde would then extend the hand attached to her non-injured arm for Vera to shake. "A great match. You can call me Dr. Lilly Becker, by the way. You can probably drop the doctor and Becker though. I just say the whole thing to seem more distinguished," explained the blonde, trying to keep levity to the situation given the heightened emotions currently running through both of them.

Vera managed to keep calm. Although she held no ill will towards her rival, she still wanted to just hide and cry her eyes out for a while longer… but Fabulous…or rather, Lilly, managed to raise her spirits up quite a bit. Praise, even a small bit of it, was enough to cheer the blunette up.

”Hopefully those limitations didn’t push down on you too much. We are still trying to get you the belt!”, Vera would say. If she didn’t win the belt, then the next best thing would’ve been to know that she pushed her rival hard enough for the management to see that Lilly deserved the Openweight title. And down the line? Who knew? Maybe she would get her rematch.

Vera giggled at Dr. Becker telling her her real name, as she returned the handshake with a big smile on her face. After releasing the handshake, Vera winced, feeling the pain in her leg.

”Your submissions are something else, though… did you have a grudge against my leg or something?”, the blunette joked: ”Though considering that you are a doctor, you probably know the human anatomy better than most technicians, huh?”

With a slight shrug of Dr. Lilly Becker's good shoulder and a warm smile to the idea of becoming Openweight Champion. There were many, many talented women also vying for it, so she had set her expectations accordingly. A very pleasant, surprise, she would treat it as. For her, it was mostly the thrill of the fight and the competition of it, which she certainly achieved at this point.

Lilly did look amused at Vera commenting on her own leg and the Good Doctor's profession, canting her head slightly. She spoke without missing a bit as she pulled a leg up to test her foot on the edge of the medical table she was on, resting her good arm on it as she got herself in a more comfortable position. "Well, I just like to have the leg up on the competition," stated Becker in a good-natured tone.

"I'm actually a psychiatrist though, not a medical doctor," Lilly explained, bobbing her head to the side. "I've done a lot of research though. I've always found this more fascinating style of wrestling. I like to be analytical, and choose a strategy that makes sense, even if it's ever-changing. Sometimes that is to my detriment, but... It's what I like."

Then, waiting another beat, Dr. Becker narrowed her gaze with a warm smile and mentioned, "I love your hair color, by the way. It's gorgeous. Is it natural?" She wanted to give Vera another compliment, because she appreciated how nice her former opponent was being about the loss.

”Pffffft…”, Vera tried to stifle a laugh to little success at Lilly’s joke, before she explained more about her career:

”Hmph…so you “analyzed” me at the start then? I did get rather angry early on…”, Vera realized, lightly pouting, but shaking her head at her own negative thoughts:

”I understand. I try to check on my competition as much as possible during work outs, but didn’t pay much attention to what you were talking about with your opponents”, Vera would think out loud, as the talk went more towards other things:

”Thank you! No, as much as I would’ve liked. I go to get it colored every two weeks. I am a brunette.”, Vera smiled at Lilly: ”I imagine your’s is natural though. It suits you! Gold and pink is a nice combo!

Lilly simply gave a modest shrug of her shoulders and a nod when Vera had come to the realization that she was analyzing and trying to rile her up at the start of the match. She would have liked to remain humble about it, and avoid talking Vera's ear off about such things, so she opted to simply offer a smile in response and silently agree. If she started talking about psychology and analyzing her opponents, it was unlikely Becker would stop, and they were already having a pleasant conversation now.

But hair color was certainly something that Dr. Becker could talk far more about without boring anyone. Offering a bright smile at Sapphire, she brushed a hand through her own hair, looking grateful. "Thank you. It is natural. I was very fortunate with my genetics," said Lilly, winking at Vera. "You make blue look good though. I don't think I could pull it off."

She would then gesture her hand towards Sapphire's body, moving it up and down as if to encompass all of her. "And I admire everything you've done with your body too. I can't imagine your regimen. Every contour of your muscles is so very impressive. It takes a lot of dedication." Taking a moment, she covered her mouth, smirking behind her hand as she considered adding another comment. But she thought it would be fine, lowering her hand to speak again. "I'll be honest. It's equal parts intimidating and attractive. In the current context, it leans more one than the other though," offered Lilly, rolling her eyes up as she shook her head. She didn't know why she made that remark--it was something she could certainly keep to herself. But after the absolute war she was in, Becker figured she deserved to remove the filter a bit. Have some fun, and celebrate, even if it was only to offer a flirtatious compliment.

The talk went to something Vera enjoyed talking with LAW ladies about - their looks. Vera couldn’t deny that Fabulous looked stunning. Lilly definitely put some thought into her attire and look, even if she tried to simply thank her genetics for it. Vera did blush at how the blue hair suited her.

”Thank you! And you wouldn’t know if you don’t try. I didn’t know if it’d suit me before I decided to go for it…”

From there, Lilly’s talk went towards Vera’s body as a whole. She was right. Part of it was a massive growth spurt…but her muscles and looks? That was all her hard work and diet. And so far, it paid off big time. Lilly seemed afraid to compliment Vera further, as if afraid to say the wrong thing… but as she lowered her arm to speak again, she mentioned exactly the part she wanted to hear:

”Oh? Interesting… veeeeeery interesting…”, Vera smirked at Lilly, deciding to tease the doctor a little bit: ”And which way does it lean, cutie?”

Letting out a soft giggle, Dr. Becker gave Vera a fond look as she shrugged her non-injured shoulder. It seemed as though Sapphire felt very similarly about Lilly and Lilly did for her. "Well," stated Lilly pointedly, adding a bit of gravity to her next statement. "Considering you're no longer trying to tear me apart in sanctioned battle... I think I might have to say attractive," explained the doctor, rolling her eyes up. "Obviously subject to change should we find ourselves locked in combat again." But then she looked back at Vera, offering her a warm smile. "But... yes. For now, let's say attractive."

A little flirting. No harm in it. She felt particularly fabulous on the day to allow herself to do so, and even though she didn't look her best with bruises, smeared make-up, and hair a complete disaster, Lilly Becker thought that she could pull it off. Vera was certainly not looking her absolute best either, but that still kept her at stunningly gorgeous. Brushing a bit of that messy blonde hair back behind her ear, as if to allow for Vera to get a better look at her features. She paused, normally not doing this sort of thing. She typically didn't take a shot, especially with the fellow wrestlers.

But it was too fabulous of a day not to try. "It's a shame that you only have one leg and I only have one arm now... and that we both look like we've been in a fight with ten women and lost against all of them, or else I'd offer to buy you dinner," said Dr. Becker calmly, trying to fight back a smirk on her lips as she stayed watching Vera. "...But I think in fairness of me not being able to offer right now, perhaps I could offer to do so in a week or so. Maybe when we're both in Japan again. And after we've both grown back our limbs properly." Her smile brightened for that moment, watching Vera's expression as she waited for an answer.

Vera listened to Lilly’s response with great interest…and naturally, it made her laugh:

”Ahuhuhuhu… that was a perfect response, my dear, cute doctor…”

It was a strange feeling. Not even an hour…not even half an hour ago, Vera was powerbombing this woman into oblivion, while she tried to separate her arms from her shoulders… now they were here, openly flirting with each other like there was no tomorrow…

…and in fact, slowly build up towards a potential hangout between the two opponents… or was it something more? Vera’s eyes opened wide at Lilly inviting her to a place once they were both back in Japan. Vera immediately smiled and nodded:

”I would take you up on that offer for a date…”, the blunette said as she would wink at the blonde!
