The Queen's Word, Addressing Challenges - Kathleen Hendricks

Unread post by TickTock »

A day had past since Kathleen's last match, one where she had defeated the legendary Alaina Sandra-Hanes. An impressive feat that not too many could say that they have done, and one that would be on her accolades for the rest of her career. Would that infuriate the Amazon? To know that she lost to someone so superior to her, that she was humiliated in the ring by a woman smaller and lighter than her?

She was sure to let everyone know, as the cameras flashed, and her producer gave her the thumbs up to begin speaking, with the Queen sat on a seat in a dimly lit room, studio lights sheening down onto her, in her get-up of a white-button up and black latex skirt. Her eyes practically pierced the camera as she stared into it, plump lips pursued.

"If you hadn't heard of me before... now you have." Her words were cold, dripping with venom, fingers pressed together. "I have single-handedly defeated one of the top legends in this business. Alaina Sandra-Hanes. I bloodied her, destroyed her, and left her hiding her face in her own shame." Flashes to her match with Alaina showed, with her inflicting damage onto the Amazon, such as her DDT on the outside, her ramming of the larger woman into the steel steps. "I am the Queen, not just of the middleweight division, but all of LAW. All of wrestling. And sooner, rather than later, I shall climb the ladder of this company, bit by bit, body by body, leaving everyone in my path a squashed maggot underneath my boot."

More flashes, this time of Kathleen's piledriver, her rabid knee strikes and, finally, the Culmination. All of which putting away Alaina for the 3 count. Of course, the video would neglect to show the pre-match assault, her Muscle attacking the Amazon from behind, and injuring her shoulder before the match even started. That was irrelevant, unimportant to the grand scheme of things. All that mattered was the end result, and that was the fan-favorite heavyweight being like putty in her hands, and put in her place.

"I require a few more matches before I can begin to chase the Middleweight Championship, but let it be known, it shall be done. A few more matches are all that separates me from that belt. And when I finish those, I'm going right for the champ. I'm going right for Lil-" Kathleen's words held intensity, confidence, and cold sadism. She meant every bit of what she was saying, but soon, she was cut off by her producer, who walked into frame and whispered a few words into her ear.

The calm expression of the Queen shifted as she heard the news. Twisting into that of disgust, before shaking her head and shooing off the man, who scurried away. "Hmph..." She huffed, taking a few moments to compose herself and think of what she wished to say.

"Apparently... I have found my next matches. Thereisa Niedermeyer. Tina Armstrong." She named the two people her producer whispered into her ear, the two people who had, apparently, challenged her. The waves of her last match had hit the locker room already, no doubt because of Alaina's popularity, especially to those close to her.

"You two are fools, imbeciles. But I will address your challenges." Kathleen said with a click of her tongue, leaning in closer in her seat, eyes unblinking.

"Thereisa. You are a woman I have to give a bit of credit. Out of everyone who can try to match my vitriol, my viciousness, my cruelty, you are up there. Like I studied Alaina, and I studied you too. Massive size, great athleticism, and a mean streak a mile wide. I almost respect you." Her words finished with a snarl, and it was clear that, despite the praise, the Queen harbored no positive feelings towards the Widow. "Keyword being almost. For, you see, you've grown SOFT."

Her hands clasped together tight, a small flex running through her arms, yet her voice remained unchanged, as calculated as it's always been. "You used to be the top heavyweight around here but... well, that's changed, hasn't it? Astrid Ostberg. Linda Halloween. Alaina Sandra-Hanes. Marlee Jackson." That last name in particular drew venom from her tone, and she shook her head. "They all defeated you. And it's hard to maintain that badass appearance when you're always ending up on your back. But, that's not the only reason I don't like you."

"No, you haven't just grown soft just because you've been handily beaten. It's because you gave up. Being mean was too hard for you, you were humbled. And now, you're standing up for a rival, an enemy. That isn't the Black Widow that I know. These are the actions of an elder, one who knows their time is coming to a close, and who is trying anything to revitalize themselves." Kathleen hissed, her hands squeezing down tighter and her posture still holding strong as she spoke with daggers towards the veteran.

"But, by challenging me, you have sealed your fate. You will not be revitalized. Your hopes of the Heavyweight championship will be dashed. You are an elder, trying to get your career back on track, and I am the young hotness, who will put you down for good."

Taking a moment to take in a deep breath, Kathleen's tongue swiped out over her lips, and she blinked a few times, before speaking up once more. "And now, Tina Armstrong. I should've known you'd jump to defend the honor of your friend. A woman you've been hip to hip with since your start. And now, that I've beaten her and humiliated her, you want to stand up to the big bad bully who's done it and make up for her soul-crushing defeat."

"You're PATHETIC." Kathleen said with emphasis, brow furrowing. "Our inaugural Middleweight champion, one who defended it numerous times, being a BITCH to a washed-up veteran. What conviction have you shown since you've lost your belt? None. Why is that?"

The Queen's lip twitched, before she leaned back in her seat, hands coming to rest on the armrests. "Because you're a peasant. You grew up as one, living in a middling home with middling parents, and lucked into the wrestling world. You put a smile on your face no matter what, because you realize the second your career ends, you fade back into obscurity, and you become a lowlife once more. You have to maintain this career, this job, and so you don't put yourself at risk of breaking. That's why when Lillian Bryne bitched out both you and your idol, Alaina, you did nothing. You tapped out in front of everyone, yet you moved on and continued this little charade of being a serious competitor."

"Well, let me be the one to tell you, you are hollow. You are weak. And by name and by name only, when I beat you, I'll elevate to heights beyond you. I'll move on from you with my head held high, I'll win the Middleweight Championship, while you will continue to walk around here, hoping that the next day isn't your last." Kathleen stated with conviction, blinking and cracking her neck a few times. "And if you anger me any further, I will assure you that our match will be your last, and I'll send you back to your poverty home, and force you to explain to your family just why the money's stopped coming in... because you weren't GOOD ENOUGH."

And with that, the camera zoomed out, to reveal the silver-gleaming throne that Kathleen sat in, and the expression of the Queen's calming. "Thereisa, Tina, I shall see the both of you in the ring soon enough. And mark my words, standing up for that decimated Amazon will be the biggest mistakes of your careers."

"I am the Queen of Domination, and you'll wish you've never dared even thought of me."
