Byleth has a very subdued personality and has difficulty expressing emotion. As a child, she neither laughed nor cried. People she is especially close to, such as Jeralt, are able to tell how she is feeling despite their limited emotional visualizations. A handful of their students note that their outward expressions hardly vary. Some express surprise whenever she simply smiles. According to a few close to Byleth, this trait of theirs may in part come from their father, as Jeralt does not show his emotions easily either and can also be difficult to read. This should not be taken as them not having emotions at all, however. Though with people close to Byleth they are able to notice her slight mood changes
History
Byleth was born the daughter of Jeralt and a nun from a church. Though Byleth's mother would die while giving birth. Jeralt who is famous for his underground fights wanted better for his child. So with the money, he saved throughout his fights, he would put Byleth in a setting befitting a child. Putting them through school. In school, though Byleth was very reserved rarely showing any emotions. Even the teachers believed there was something wrong with Byleth. Jeralt was given the advice to test Byleth and her mental capabilities. In which Jeralt saw no need to as he could tell what Byleth was feeling. Fast forward a few years later, Jeralt coming home from a late-night would find Byleth looking around his stuff. Primarily his fighting gloves. That is when he had the "amazing" as some father-daughter bonding he would teach her to fight. So the lessons would begin quickly from beginner moves to intermediate moves. Byleth proved to be a natural, even if she was not proficient in a certain area, Byleth would intensively practice until she was proficient. It did not take long for Byleth to become smarter than Jeralt and she thought of having a gym. Something they could both profit off of, seeing as how Jeralt is not getting any younger. While Byleth was thinking of that, Jeralt was signing up Byleth for her own fights. Byleth was not opposed to these fights, eventually gaining the name THE ASHEN DEMON Due to her seemingly lack of emotions in a fight. With enough money the Garrech mach Gym was open to all. Byleth using her knowledge to help people who came to the gym as a trainer. Eventually, these small lessons would become famous classes and Byleth would come to teach many students how to fight. The Garrech Mach Gym at some point sponsoring fighters. With many of these fighters gaining notoriety. Instead of going for the students Law would go for the teacher herself. Seeing as how she still competes. Now on a path to "educate" the fellow wrestlers
