"All right...all right. You got this, Kayla. You can do this."
A few weeks had passed since Kayla's last match in LAW, where she had faced a rather swift and unceremonious defeat at the hands of Thunder Ryuko. Even against such a famous foe, the defeat had shaken Kayla, and she had needed time to bounce back from it. She needed to convince herself she was better than that, and for that, she would need to train harder. On her own, too; as much as her tag partner and her had been inseparable, this was something Kayla had to face without any distractions (and Ash could be nothing if not distracting). It had been a hard few weeks, and she had pushed herself to the limit. But now, she thought, it was time for her to return. To take back her dignity and self-respect, and to uphold her good name as a capable competitor. She'd been preparing for that - and now, it was time for her to put that to the test.
After Allen had made her entrance, it was time for Kayla to come striding out onto the ramp, holding her fist above her head and drawing a few cheers as she did, but compared to her opponent her entrance was much more serious and sedate. She came charging down the aisle, her gaze trained ahead of her on the ring, and when she came in close she lunged forward to dive in under the ropes, where she soon came skidding to a halt. Kayla picked herself up to dust herself off and look out ahead, resting in her corner against the ropes as she eyed her opponent to be.
