Meeting an old friend (w/ Winner)

Rainbow Miku was backstage at an LAW show in the locker room, just moments before what was going to be her debut match against Karin Shin. There had already been some great matches on the card, and Miku was determined to surpass the bar the women had set! After all, Code #7 in Zangeif's Fighting Philosophy stated that "One should always look to outdo everyone else'. Mika was in her casual, unmasked attire at the moment, hair done up in her trademark two ponytails with a light blue shirt that exposed her midriff and a pair of black sweatpants. An ring crew member ran up and told her that her match was coming up, so she quickly ran to her locker to change and get ready. As she swung open the locker door, however, Miku saw a strange, yet familiar figure in the mirror she had placed behind the door. The woman had her back turned to Miku from the opposite side of the locker room, lacing up her boots. She, similar to Miku, wore a leotard, but hers was more traditional and had no sleeves as well as a white and red design. What struck Mika the most, however, was the woman's head. It was short and as black as a raven's wing, neatly falling down around her head without touching her neck. The attire... the gear... could it be?

"Nadeshiko?" Mika asked as she turned to face the woman, hoping that this wouldn't turn out to be a case of mistaken identity.

Yamato had been taking her time readying herself in the locker room. She hadn't been booked to compete yet, but she knew that she had to be booked soon. Just like Mika, she was too great an asset to LAW to not be asked work regularly. And she'd be very quick to tell you that under normal circumstances. But today would be anything but a normal circumstance. As luck woudl have it, just as the Japanese beauty was about to finish lacing up her wrestling boots, a familiar face would come barging in.

"Who ar-M...Mika?!" Yamato uttered as she quickly shifted from inquiring about who it was that was intruding to recognizing the twin tailed blonde to be the one and only Rainbow Mika! After taking just a second to quickly look her old friend up and down, she'd throw herself at Mika and hug her. "It's-It's been so long! How have you been? Tell me you're we're both wrestling for the same company, again!"

Nadeshiko didn't open up to many, but when it came to Mika, it was like she was a whole different woman. She treasured the Rainbow Warrior and was elated to see her in the same place and possibly the same wrestling promotion as herself.

As the figure turned around, the lovely voice and face confirmed to Mika that it was Yamato Nadeshiko. Mika stood still for a moment as memories flashed before her eyes, their time together in high school, their time training in the IWJPW dojo, their brief time as a tag team before R. Mika headed off to join the Street Fighter tournament; after many years, Mika and her old friend were together again.

Mika couldn't help but scream in happiness as she threw herself at the perfect woman, holding her friend in a tight embrace.

"Oh Yamato! Long time no see! I thought you were still down in IWJPW! You're in LAW too?"

Mika rest her head on Yamato's shoulder as the two hugged, trying to keep from getting too emotional. It was so good to see her friend again, and if she was in LAW, and not making just a one time appearance, a tag team reunion had to be in order!

Yamato held her old friend in her arms, caressing the back of Mika's head with her hand. The memories filled her mind as well, but she found herself lost in the current moment. She glanced left and right to be sure no one would see the two of them being emotional before closing her eyes, leaning in and giving Mika a tight squeeze. Afterwards, she answered the question.

"Yep! I thought I could hone my skills with the competition here so I could help you out more in the StreetFighter tournament if you ever needed me! Please tell me you happened to joined LAW, as well! I don't know if they're ready for our tag team, heheh." Yama swayed side to side and giggled mischievously at the prospect of them getting to use their double hip attack finisher to overcome the LAW tag division!

R. Mika couldn't help but chuckle a little as Yamato looked around to make sure no one was watching their private moment. She was always the more conscientious one of the two, and a good balance to Mika's sometimes oblivious nature. After the two had their tight hug, Mika listened to Yamato's answer with a smile on her face. Her best friend was in LAW, and willing to reform their old tag team!

"You bet! In fact, tonight is my debut match! We're going to run wild through this tag division, I can already tell!"

"Ohhhhh! You're debuting! Do you want me to come with you to the ring? Who will you be fighting?"

Yamato fired off questions in excitement for Mika's debut match. She placed her hands on the blonde's shoulders. The brunette parted her own hair and readjusted it before continuing with the same level of confident enthusiasm that she often spoke with.

"Either way, no one's gonna get one up on the Rainbow Warrior on her debut night! Whoever it is, kick their butt and get back here so we can register as an official LAW tag team""

R. Mika loved seeing Yamato get excited, especially her quirk of parting and then readjusting her short brunette hair. She always found that hairstyle cute, and if it weren't for how iconic her pigtails were to her character at this point, she would have looked to do her hair the same way; or at least try.

"I'm going to be fighting Karin Shin. I haven't heard of her either, but I'm sure she's tough, almost everyone here is!"

Mika then felt Yamato's delicate hands on her shoulders, and she recuperated the gesture, the two good friends looking into each other's eyes.

"I think I'll go into this match by myself, but I know you'll be keeping an eye out for me here to insure no one pulls anything dirty! Do you live close by from here? I was thinking after my match we could go out to get registered and then head to your house for some tea. A lot of things have happened to me since our last time together that I would love to tell you about, and I'm sure it's the same with you-"

Suddenly the same ring crew member from earlier ran into the locker room. Mika took her hands off Yamato's shoulders and turned to face the girl, who said that Karin was about to make her entrance!

"Oh crap, I'm running late!" Mika said to herself as the attendant sped off. She then turned back to her friend and future tag partner.

"I have to go get changed fast! We'll talk more when I get back from my match, it's so good to see you again!" Mika said as she leaned in to give Yamato a quick yet tight hug.

Yamato was happy to be able to share this tender moment with her long time friend and tag partner. She held the Rainbow Warrior and continued hearing her out until they were interrupted by a staff member. The interruption made Nadeshiko frown immediately, but she quickly got over it to see Mika off.

"I'll be here after you win! Go out there and kick butt!" She said after embracing Mika tightly and waving to her as she ran off. After Mika exited, Yamato said to herself in her more typical voice and demeanor, all while still smiling. "It's good to see her, again...she alone made it worth it to come to LAW. Can't wait to see what other developments take place here."
