Daughters of the Ring: Nixanne Severin vs Allen Riley

Post by Delalily »

Match Type: 1 v 1, Standard Match
Victory by Pinfall or Submission
Thanks to Arjuna for having this match with me.

The heavy curtain swayed slightly in front of her, the deep thrum of the arena crowd bleeding through the fabric like distant surf. Nix stood just behind it, rolling her shoulders once as she adjusted the bridge of her glasses. The yellow of her gear seemed almost luminous under the backstage lights, a sharp contrast against the dark hallway behind her. Beyond the curtain was the LAW arena—bright lights, roaring fans, and the familiar canvas waiting beneath them all. She could already feel the energy of it, the hum that came before every match, when the world narrowed to a single walk down a ramp.

Her fingers curled and uncurled at her sides as she steadied her breathing. Matches always pulled her inward like this. Not nerves exactly—something deeper, heavier. For Nix, wrestling was never just about the win. It was about the moment itself. The story unfolding between two people willing to step into the ring and test who they were. Her mind flickered, as it often did before a match, to the people who had shaped that belief. Her mom’s old matches, watched endlessly in their San Francisco apartment. Kara leaning against her shoulder on the floor while they studied every movement. And Troy—who would probably tell her right now that she was thinking way too much again. "Just fight" he’d say with that half-smirk of his.

A stagehand gave her a quick nod. “You’re up.”

Right on cue, the opening beat of “Get Back” by Britney Spears exploded through the arena speakers. The bassline vibrated through the floor beneath her boots as the crowd reacted, a rising swell of noise that washed toward the stage. Nix took one quiet breath and stepped forward, pushing through the curtain and into the light. The ramp stretched out before her, illuminated by gold stage lights that reflected faintly off her glasses as she walked. Some fans cheered, some simply watched, curious about the quiet blonde in yellow who carried herself like she was already deep inside the match.
Nixanne's Entrance Music
She slid under the ropes and rose smoothly to her feet inside the LAW ring, the roar of the crowd wrapping around her as the music faded behind her. The arena lights were blinding from here, but she could still see the entrance ramp clearly enough. Nix adjusted her glasses once more, resting her hands on her hips as her green eyes focused on the stage.

Allen Riley would be coming out any moment now.

And Nix waited.

Allen Riley knew that she needed to win tonight, because she had been losing most of her matches, sometimes in a row, these days. She knew that LAW had an overabundance of talent these days, and she needed to make sure to make her name known among all these faceless masses by winning her matches. She had been trained under her father since she was young, and she wasn't going to let herself become nothing but a footnote in history, as someone who was beaten to make other wrestlers stand victorious in the squared circle.

Tonight, she aimed to win. She waited in the backstage area, psyching herself as she waited for her turn to make her entrance. From what she had learned, her opponent for tonight was Nixanne Severin, and like her, she also came from a wrestling dynasty. Still, just because someone had a storied bloodline didn't mean the match would be decided from that. No, Allen would make sure to be the one to stand victorious at the end of it. Whoever her opponent tonight, Allen was determined to win it.

Soon, the stagehand informed her that it was her turn to make her entrance. Nodding, Allen made her way to the ramp as her music was played. The crowd cheered for her. Despite her losing many times in her matches, she was still a favored wrestler by many, as evidenced by the cheers coming from the audience. Smiling, Allen waved her hand as she jogged down the ramp, even high-fiving several people as she made her way to the ring. Clad in her pink wrestling outfit with black flame pattern, she was quite a nice treat to the eyes as she entered the ring.

Standing back up to the ring after rolling under the ropes, Allen climbed up one of the turnbuckles, getting the crowd pumped up as she raised her arms. Soon, her music died down, and she hopped down to the canvas before she looked at her opponent. From what she could see, this Nixanne seemed like a formidable figure, though she was wondering why she was wearing glasses during a match. Well, not her place to criticize what her opponent was wearing. She had seen other wrestlers wearing stranger things, after all.

Still, Allen decided to show a little bit of sportsmanship as she made her way to the center of the ring. She planned to meet with this Nixanne and offered her a handshake. Whether she accepted it or not was another story, though it would be better if they could start off this match as something between friendly competitors. Of course, friendly or not, Allen had no intention of holding back as she planned to win this using her skills and abilities. If Nixanne accepted her handshake, she would give her a firm one, making it clear that she wasn't one to back down from a fight.

Nix watched Allen approach, her posture relaxed but her gaze sharp. The handshake was unexpected—LAW wasn’t the kind of place where sportsmanship often took center stage. Still, Nix wasn’t one to shy away from an olive branch, even if she wasn’t sure what to make of it. She adjusted her glasses briefly, then stepped forward to meet Allen in the center of the ring.

Her hand extended, Nix took Allen’s firmly. The memory of Troy’s voice drifted into her mind—his teasing tone as he’d told her to “send a message” with her handshake. Whatever that means, she thought at the time, but the lesson had stuck. Her grip tightened subtly, not enough to offend but enough to make her presence known. It was a strange balance, this mix of courtesy and assertiveness, but Nix had learned to navigate it well.

She met Allen’s eyes, her own steady behind the frames of her glasses. There was curiosity there, maybe a flicker of surprise, but Nix didn’t linger on it. She gave Allen’s hand one final, firm squeeze before letting go, her expression calm but unyielding. It wasn’t a challenge—not exactly—but it was a quiet reminder that she wasn’t here to take anything for granted.

As she stepped back, Nix rolled her shoulders again, her focus already shifting to the match ahead. The handshake was a gesture, nothing more. What Allen made of the handshake did not really matter. What mattered now was what happened when the bell rang.

After shaking hands with the other woman, Allen readied herself for this match. Keeping her eyes on Nixanne, Allen controlled her breathing, calming herself down as she waited for the bell to be rung. Soon, the bell was rung, and the match began.

Raising both her hands, Allen shimmied to the side, maintaining the distance between herself and her opponent. For the time being, she hadn't made any attempt to close in and lock up with Nixanne. She seemed to be waiting for her opponent to make her move, and she planned to react accordingly to it.

Her eyes moved, watching her opponent's every movement. Circling around the other woman, Allen braced herself for whatever move her opponent might do now that the match had begun in earnest.

Nix studied Allen’s movements, her eyes narrowing as she focused on her opponent's actions. It was clear Allen was waiting for her to make the first move—hesitant, perhaps, or testing the waters. Nix wasn’t one to linger in uncertainty, remembering how Kara often comments that uncertainty breeds disaster. So, she adjusted her stance subtly, her shoulders squaring as she assessed the distance between them.

Allen was smaller, lighter—advantages Nix didn’t intend to waste. She had trained for moments like this, where adaptability was key. Her technical skills were her anchor, and she wasn’t afraid to lean into them. If Allen wanted to play defensive, Nix would take the initiative.

She stepped forward smoothly, her movements deliberate but not rushed. Closing the gap, Nix extended her arms, her fingers flexing slightly as she prepared to lock up. The air between them felt charged, the crowd’s noise fading into a dull hum as Nix focused entirely on Allen.

Her hands reached for Allen’s shoulders, aiming to establish control early. Nix knew the importance of positioning—small adjustments could shift the tide of a match. If she could secure a grip, she could dictate the pace, forcing Allen to react rather than act.

Her fingers brushed against Allen’s triceps, firm but not aggressive, as she attempted to pull her into a collar-and-elbow tie-up. It was a neutral starting point, but Nix had no intention of keeping it neutral for long. She was already calculating her next move, her mind sharp and her body ready to pivot at a moment’s notice.

The instant Nixanne surged forward, elbows high and hands ready for a classic collar-and-elbow tie-up, Allen met her head-on. Bringing her own arms up, Allen brought her palms onto Nixanne's shoulders. With both feet braced wide, Allen dropped her hips low before exploding upwards through her legs, driving her chest forward like a battering ran to meet her opponent's momentum head-to-head.

Gritting her teeth, Allen would try to bully Nixanne backwards, weight committed fully forward. She aimed to make a shift in balance that would allow her to twist her hips and wrench her opponent's head down into a side headlock. Though for the time being, their bodies would be pressed against each other, with Allen being unable to capture Nixanne's head yet.

Nix felt the pressure of Allen’s forward momentum, her body pressed tight against her opponent’s. The tie-up was intense, neither woman willing to give an inch. But Nix’s mind was already racing, her training kicking in as she sought a way to break the stalemate. Her gaze flickered downward, spotting the opening she needed.

With a sharp twist of her hips, Nix shifted her weight to the side, her left foot sliding slightly behind her for leverage. Her hands, still gripping Allen’s shoulders, moved with precision, sliding down to her opponent’s upper arms. She’s committed too much forward, Nix thought, her lips pressing into a thin line as she prepared her next move.

In one fluid motion, Nix dropped her hips lower, her knees bending as she shifted her balance. Her hands slid swiftly from Allen’s shoulders to her waist, gripping firmly as she pulled her opponent’s body flush against her own. Her muscles coiling like springs as she prepared to explode upwards

The sudden shift in position caught Allen momentarily off guard, her forward momentum disrupted as Nix’s arms locked around her midsection. Nix’s grip tightened, her shoulders tensing as she leaned back slightly, the pressure building in her legs and core. The crowd’s noise seemed to fade into the background as Nix focused entirely on the task at hand—lifting Allen clean off the mat and executing a German suplex.

Her hips snapped forward, her legs driving upward with explosive force as she began to lift Allen into the air.

As Allen struggled to gain an upper hand over Nixanne, she found herself stumbling forward as her opponent shifted her position, and this costed her quite a bit as her opponent then proceeded to wrap her arms around her waist. Before she could do anything to stop whatever her opponent was planning to do, she was hoisted up by Nixenne, who threw her down with a German suplex!

"NGHH!!"

Allen crashed landed on the mat, her head rattled by the impact. Still, she wasn't going to let herself be put on the backfoot as she would try to push herself up, though the damage that she had taken from the German suplex prevented her from quickly pushing herself back up on her feet. Gritting her teeth, Allen pushed herself on all four, taking a moment to recover from the impact.

Nix didn’t hesitate. Allen was vulnerable, and she knew better than to let an opening like this slip away. Her green eyes narrowed behind her glasses as she took a quick step back, positioning herself carefully. Allen was still on all fours, shaking off the effects of the German suplex—Nix couldn’t give her time to recover.

Her boots hit the mat with purpose as she circled behind Allen, her movements deliberate and calculated. Nix’s heart pounded in her chest, but her mind was eerily calm, focused solely on the task at hand. She took a moment to size up her opponent, her gaze locking onto the back of Allen’s head. The crowd’s noise was a distant buzz, drowned out by the thrum of adrenaline coursing through her veins.

Nix adjusted her stance, her weight shifting onto her back foot as she prepared to strike. Her lips pressed into a thin line, her expression hardening as she visualized the move. The curb stomp wasn’t just about impact—it was about precision. Timing was everything. If successful, the blow would be devastating to Allen's head and would greatly increase her chances of winning, however, Nix risks losing her balance and becoming vulnerable if the curb stomp misses.

Allen was still on all four, trying her best to recover and regain her bearing. But it seemed that her opponent had moved behind her, and she was planning something. As she tried to catch her breath, Allen mustered her effort to focus, and when she sensed something was coming, she would immediately try to move to the side. Unfortunately, her timing was a little off, and she ended up taking the curbstomp to the back of her head.

"UAGHHH!!"

Allen cried out in pain as she took the hit. She was brought face first to the mat, left disoriented by the curbstomp. Her face scrunched up in pain as she brought her hands onto the back of her head. For the time being, she rolled over to her side, hoping to curl herself up to give as little target as possible for her opponent, but this wouldn't do much if Nixanne decided to continue with her onslaught.
