Personality + Backstory
Laid back and a bit flirty Mason is the sort of person you have in mind when thinking of a surfer though he isn't afraid to take risk or show off for the judges, crowd, or the ladies. Born in Huntington beach, surfing was nearly in his blood learning to do so from age four and beginning to compete in contests at twelve. Mason never had a reason not to be confident whether it was his always supportive family or skill and work ethic in everything he did. Athletic and good looking, damn near the perfect package. When he was eighteen Mason had an opportunity to change things up and try something he never really considered up to that point when a now ex girlfriend was training in wrestling and jokingly offered for him to tag along. Figuring it was a good excuse to spend some more time with her and keep in shape he took to it well, training alongside her and sparing Mason eventually adopted a bit of an everything style with a specialty in high flying moves enjoying how flashy they were like he enjoyed being while out riding the waves.
After a while of training he made his debut in a tag team match at a local indie show with his at the time girlfriend. It certainly was a success for the two of them coming out on top and truthfully it had been one of the only times Mason had been in a fight at that point in his life but it was going to be far from the last. He enjoyed being in the ring Mason knew he wanted to focus more on surfing than wrestling. After awhile of wrestling in California his girlfriend went to travel and wrestle all over the country the two decided not to continue long distance and split on good terms ending the tag team the two had debuted as in the process. He continued to work the independent scene and riding it as well as any wave at the beach as a singles wrestler along with a few high profile matches on California, Mason juggled both wrestling and surfing quite well.
As he established himself in the ring over the next few years several premotions approached him though he turned them down not wanting to commit too much to wrestling and less to surfing and never wanting to be too far from a beach because of it. That was until a Japanese company approached him. An island nation would mean he would never be far from a beach after all, and a new place to compete in both of his hobbies, it was almost too good to be true. Accepting Mason packed up his things and moved to Chiba near Japan, great surfing and close to work.
