Standard Match: Victory is awarded based on pinfall, KO, or submission
"AT ONNNNNE HUNDRED AND FORTY—"
Beeeeeeeeep.
The tone was one a physician might use to diagnose a hearing disorder. Simple, monotone, electric. Remarkable only because its ear-splitting volume erased the announcer's voice from the stadium.
The lights dimmed, flickering like bad wiring. Then, the image Dot used as a face faded into the Titantron, a neon pink leer with kitty-cat whiskers and a pair of squinting dots for eyes.
"We apologize for the interruption." For this match, she was using what passed for her own voice. Feminine, alto, and tinged with just an edge of static-flecked autotune. "But I need a moment to confer with my colleague."
The predictable wave of boos and jeers rumbled from the audience, which Dot silenced with the equally predictable squeal of feedback. With the boilerplate out of the way and an uneasy, muttering silence settling over the empty ring, Dot continued.
"Amyra. Your appointment with me, as you are no doubt eminently aware, is less a fair match and more a form of ritual sacrifice, perpetrated to satisfy the bloodlust of the shit-stains that pass for people in the stands."
As Dot spoke, the face on the titantron blinked, flickering like an electric Jack O'Lantern's candle with her words.
"While I have no problem with human sacrifice, I have every reason to deny these dickless perverts their satisfaction. Which is why I'm offering you the opportunity to back out. Just...hang out backstage when you're called. Let admin try to pick up the pieces. We'll call it our little joke on the audience and our booking department."
No refunds. Every chucklefuck who bought tickets for LAW matches got the same warning, which was more than they deserved.
"...I knooooow you're likely to ignore this offer. That's what every heroic myth ever written, not to mention your instincts as a performer, is no doubt screaming at you to do. But just know, Amyra—once you walk down that ramp, you irrevocably change from a recipient of my mercy, to the clearest fucking example I can carve for the next girl. Think your next move over...real carefully."
POP!
Blink and you miss it. The lights shot back to their usual brightness. The titantron flipped to black and blank. The ring sat empty.

Guess they wanted me to show off what I do
But I couldn't care any less to show you
Cause though I'm a hare, I've got nothing to prove

Re: Catch a Tigress By the Toe: Amyra vs Dot
Backstage Amyra was stretching and getting herself ready for her upcoming bout. Against someone named Dot. Really Amyra wasn't that aware of her even being as much of a LAW nerd as she was. Like she had heard of her being rather mischievous and kinda scary but frankly that was fine with her. It would only make it all the better when Amyra made the girl her first ever win here in LAW.
As she was tying her boots however Amyra would look up as the television in the locker room suddenly had a glitch making Amyra wonder what was up. Only for the screen to go dark instead before a weird pink emoji screen came on. As it turned out this was intentional by none other than Dot, Amyra's opponent for tonight.
"The fuck?" Amyra said aloud as she watched and listened to the the voice behind the screen, saying that this match was a human sacrifice and that if Amyra wanted to avoid it then she could sit back and just be disqualified. However there was no way in hell Amyra would ever follow through with that, after all this was her chance to really show LAW what she was made of and no way in hell would she back down.
As such once a bit of time had passed Amyra would make her way towards the entrance area, a bounce in her step as she did so. Waiting there for a moment until her music began playing Amyra would then come out, striking a pose before the audience who cheered with even more fervor than usual. Likely as a result of the fact that Amyra was making this entrance in spite of Dot's threats and thus making her an even bigger and braver babyface in the eyes of the fans.
Once down to the ring Amyra would hop up onto the apron before slipping between the rope and into the ring properly. Hopping onto the ring corner and pointing at the entrance ramp Amyra would smirk as she then spoke. "Come on out you big bad Dot! If anyone is getting sacrificed it'll be you!" Amyra spoke loudly, hoping that it would be heard over the raucous sounds of the crowd at Amyra's back.

Re: Catch a Tigress By the Toe: Amyra vs Dot
Potential energy, as every physics student knows, is a measure of how much bang you can squeeze out of a system. By the sound of the crowd, Amyra's potential energy had just skyrocketed. But, the intrepid student might inquire, with what kind of potential energy had Dot just seeded her opponent? The answer: gravitational energy, the measure of how height correlates with a glorious and satisfying splat.
Such was a quantity notably lacking prior to Dot's fun on her mic.
Normally, this would have been the moment where the Lynx would have played her entrance theme, but the crowd was just so into their newfound hero, it seemed unlikely that mood-setter would have pierced through all their noise. So instead, Dot cut the lights.
Clunk. The crowd tittered. Some people shouted, and at least one idiot saw fit to BOO into the unknown, but the shift in lighting largely had its desired, dampening effect. Then, Dot's smiling neon pink eyes cut through the dark.
"Sssssssh!"
The crowd...didn't exactly go dead silent, but it hushed, signaled perhaps by the darkness and an itch in their eardrum from the last time Dot had demanded their quiet.
"You, loyal fans at LAW, gave my opponent a personal welcome. Now...I'd like you to do the same for me."
BOOOOO!
Boooo!
HISSSS!
It wasn't the crowd—not at first. It was the speakers. Recordings. The crowd joined soon enough, if with less gusto than they might have. What do you do with someone who asks you to boo them? In Dot's experience—you feel disgust. Annoyance. It's not even fun to hate someone that smarmy. You just want them gone. And Amyra was just the girl for the job, no?
Dot's glowing eyes trotted through the dark to the ring under the hail of half-hearted abuse and slipped into her corner. When the lights rose back up, she was leaning into her corner, jaw cocked up, grinning across the ring at her opponent.

Re: Catch a Tigress By the Toe: Amyra vs Dot
Amyra was DEFINITELY liking the increased attention she got from the crowd. In a weird way she almost wanted to thank Dot for making her look like even more of a hero than she would normally. But anything of that sort would have to wait till AFTER Amyra kicked her ass. Or at least she hoped. In any case however Amyra would blink and look up as the lights suddenly went out leaving the ring, and the whole arena in darkness.
"The fuck?" She breathed out before a voice sneaked out into the darkness, Dot's voice and she was... asking for the crowd to boo her? That was weird and Amyra didn't really get it as Dot's electric pink face gradually approached closer and closer to the ring, admittedly making Amyra a bit uneasy as she stared her opponent down, trying to project as much confidence as possible in the face of the digital faced wrestler before her.
Not very long after however the lights would switch back on, leaving Amyra in the facing off against Dot in the flesh. "So you're Dot huh? Bring it on you big bad digimon reject!" Amyra quipped to the woman with a hand on her hip and the other pointed in Dot's direction while a confident expression on her face.
