Kimiko jumped and hopped up and down a few times backstage, getting the blood and adrenaline going in her body as she stared across the hallway towards the curtain. Her last match hadn't gone well, but tonight was a chance to fix that. Stopping, she took a deep breath and looked up at the clock on the wall before looking back towards the curtain and began to walk forward, it was time. She wasn't entirely sure who her opponent was, and she hadn't been told much about her beyond the woman being on the taller side.

Kimiko

Standing in front of the curtain, Kimiko took another deep breath as she waited for her music to begin before walking out into the bright lights and onto the stage. Kimiko smiled at the crowd, giving them a polite wave before continuing down the ramp, part of her attire that was around her waist fluttering behind her on the way down.

Going right to the ring apron, Kimiko slid right in underneath before popping back up to her feet and heading for the corner and jumping up to the second rope, almost slipping in the process but managing to steady herself before waving to the crowd with a small blush on her face, realizing how close she was to wiping out a moment ago.

"Phew" Kimiko let out a breath as she hopped down and turned to face the stage, waiting for her opponent to arrive. Looking down for a moment, Kimiko raised her foot, making sure it was just her own fault and not something slippery on the bottom of her boot that almost caused her to slip. "Okay focus, focus" Kimiko thought to herself as she turned her attention back to the fight ahead of her.

The fight ahead of her was arriving a lot sooner than expected.

A hi-octane rock track blared on the speakers, and the crowd burst into cheers as a powerfully-built blonde strode down the ramp. Erika LaVoy pumped her fist in the air as she rallied the cheering crowd, grinning as she sprinted down the ramp and gleefully hi-fived the audience members. The audience had been cheering enthusiastically for Kimiko earlier; they were cheering just as enthusiastically for Erika now, though a large part of that was due to the Canadian giantess' exuberant personality.

After Erika hi-fived her way down the ramp, she slid under the ropes and then hopped up on the turnbuckle, raising both of her arms to the cheering fans. With this extra bit of fanfare done, Erika dropped down onto the mat again, seemingly noticing her opponent for the first time. Smiling, she brushed her blonde hair back and strode over to Kimiko. This close, the sheer difference in size between the two fighters became very much apparent.

"Heyy, you're Kimiko, right?"" Still all smiles, Erika extended a hand to the shorter Japanese woman. "The name's Erika! I think I saw one or two of your fights before-- you're tagging with that other girl...Yumie, I think her name is? Anyway, you seemed pretty awesome in the matches you were in, so here's hoping we have a good one, eh?"

Erika was making no mention of Kimiko's disastrous match against Satomi at all; the crowd watched as Erika's extended hand hung in front of Kimiko, waiting to see if the Japanese wrestler would accept the pre-match handshake.
