Match Type: Spotlight Match
Rules: The objective of the match is to use one of your opponent’s finishers to win the match. The only way to win is pinfall, submission, or knockout. There are no count-outs or disqualifications.

It was officially Spring Break for Mary’s high school and that meant students could focus on completing the solar system poster board assignment she gave them. The objective was to create a model display out of household props or stuff they could get at the dollar store in order to accurately create the eight planets in the vastness of space. Her students were split off into groups with each member responsible for gathering supplies, research, art, and creating a blueprint that had accurate measurements to what their group display would look like. Her husband, being the academic underachiever, thought it was a bit much on the week their students had off, but Mary said it was an opportunity to help some slackers in her class get their grades up before the end of the year. Besides, she wanted to be generous and give them three weeks to complete it and promised no quizzes or other homework other than notes for her lectures.

As for Mary, she was called out to Japan once more for another match on her part-timer schedule while her husband would just watch college football and watch the kids all weekend. Mary’s theme hit as she covered herself in her lab coat and made her way for the gorilla position.

The crowd cheered loudly as the colored spotlights went off through them as Mary pushed aside the curtain heading out and waving towards the crowd. She came down the ramp and went over to her left shaking hands and patting heads.

“The following contest is a Spotlight Match set for one-fall! The only way to win is to steal your opponent’s finisher to win the match. Introducing first, from Lincoln, Nebraska, Mary Green!”

Mary smiled brightly as she followed the ramp to ringside and even stopped to slap hands with a little Japanese girl as Mary was developing quite the fanbase after her recent victories. Mary folded her lab coat and headed up the steps stopping to raise her left fist to the crowd before heading inside. Mary went over to the opposing ropes raising her fists before tugging on the top rope getting a last minute arm exercise in as she rolled her right shoulder.

When Hana heard her next match would require her to beat her opponent with her own finisher, she was certainly intrigued. It didn't take her long to realize how much she could get under her opponents' skin by beating them at their own game - and she couldn't wait to see the look on her opponent's face when she fell victim to a move that she herself had perfected and thought she knew inside and out. But it also meant that Hana would need to do some research on her opponent in advance in order to figure out what moves she'd need to practice - and that's where she found out that Mary Green worked as a teacher on the side. Already, the gears began to turn in Hana's head. Her strategy had always relied on playing mind games against her opponents, forcing them to let down their guard by annoying them until they were forced to take their attention off the match - then she could swoop in for the kill. And she certainly knew plenty of ways she could mess with a teacher's head.

"And her opponent, from Incheon, South Korea! Hana Choi!!"

The announcer called for Hana, and the lights shone down on the entrance ramp...but no one came from behind the curtains. A moment passed where everyone sat there staring at the ramp, waiting for Hana to show up, or suspecting that she was up to one of her tricks again. Eventually, after a few seconds went by with no sign of the Korean girl, one of the stagehands peered behind the curtain - and that was when Hana came running out from the Gorilla position, hurrying down the ramp in a panic with a piece of toast dangling from her mouth. Wait, where did she get that from?

Hopping up onto the ring apron, Hana spat the toast out of her mouth, then leaned over the ropes. "Yo, teach, sorry I'm late," Hana said, giving Mary a lackluster wave. "Uh, I haven't missed anything important, right? Say, you don't mind if I'm excused to go to the bathroom?"

Mary waited around as she heard Hana’s theme come on upon her announcement and she wanted to see what this class clown was like in the flesh. She waited….and waited….and waited….and did even more waiting….maybe? Nope! Still waiting. Mary had to sweatdrop at all of this. She was used to students being late to her classes whether it was high school jocks being kept behind by their coaches for extra training or actual genuine students who couldn’t find their homework or just the lazy slackers who purposely became late just to spite the teachers. Mary just crossed her arms and huffed hopefully waiting for some kind of response.

At last, Hana came out close to the end of her theme song as she jumped right on the apron and spat out a half piece of toast? Was she getting a snack? Regardless, Hana decided to further annoy Mary by asking for a bathroom break before the match. The one question she already dreaded and despised. She doesn’t mind if it’s really an emergency, but it’s really just a disguised excuse to skip her class and vape in the bathroom. The people that do it always get caught by the hall monitors. She would know. Piper did it loads of times.

“I think these people waited long enough, young miss. If you pee yourself during this match, that’s on you,” Mary stated with a stern gaze.

Hana had pulled this trick plenty of times before, but it never got old. She knew full well that people going to a wrestling show wanted to see some action - so the quickest way she could get on their nerves was by forcing them to wait around. No matter how many times she fell back on the old routine, it always seemed to work - not just on the audience, but on her opponents as well, if Mary's flustered reactions were anything to go by. Perfect - the match hadn't even begun, and already Mary's patience was wearing thin. Just the sort of thing she could exploit.

Hana still wasn't getting in the ring - when she heard Mary's retort, her nose wrinkled with disgust. "...Eew." she said. "Listen, I know some of the people who watch LAW are into some freaky shit, but I'm not doing that. Not unless I'm getting a raise." She took a moment to stretch, working her arms behind her, and then placed a hand on the ropes to gently pull down at them. For a moment, it almost looked as though Hana was going to get in the ring - but she stopped a moment later. It was never going to be that simple.

"...So, may I not be unexcused?" she said, looking back up at Mary. She wasn't expecting it to work - Mary had probably heard that one a million times. But it was precisely because it was so hackneyed and overused that she knew it would annoy her even more.

Mary’s patience was indeed being tested, but regardless, she heard this excuse so many times, it was nearly just common for her to just let students go to the bathroom and if they were caught, that’s on them. Also, Mary narrowed her eyes in bewilderment at Hana suggesting the former reality show contestant get involved in a weird fetish. What the hell was she even thinking about? Mary shook her head as the referee turned to Hana.

“No bathroom breaks! If you can’t learn to go before you come out, then that is something you’ll have to deal with. Also, there’s no littering in the arena. Do it again outside of this match and you’ll be fined!” The referee warned as she coaxed Hana into the ring.

Hana giggled, just watching the ever-growing look of frustration grow across Mary's face. She knew as a teacher she would've heard this trick pulled many a time, and it was for that reason she was sure it would hit especially hard. The referee called her into the ring, admonishing her about the toast that she spat out of her mouth, but the damage had already been done - Hana had succeeded at wearing at Mary's nerves. That meant that when the match began, she would already be off her game.

But that wasn't enough for Hana - she was looking to test the utmost limits of Mary's patience. As she entered the ring, she took off her hat, tossing it in the air a few times and catching it as it came down. "Right, right...you probably don't like wearing hats in class, huh, teach? I'll put it away..." Then, she would throw the hat straight at Mary's face, followed by spinning in a circle to fling her jacket in her direction!

Hopefully, Mary would be distracted by the flying articles of clothing - even better if they landed on her head and blinded her. Hana also knew that the referee would be on her case for this - which was by design - but she faced her with a grin, too. "I was aiming for that guy," she said, pointing to one of the ringside attendants just beyond Mary, "so that wasn't littering, just so you know. She just got in the way."

Mary wasn’t sure what to make of Hana right now. She was obviously known to be a cult favorite favoring being a nuisance in the ring rather than actually displaying genuine wrestling talent. Mary was sure she had talent, but rather just focused it all on being an all-around annoyance. Regardless, Mary could just treat her like Piper and finish her off with a lesson she ought to learn from. Mary had an undefeated streak going right now and she intended to continue it tonight. Hana threw her hat and jacket right at Mary, but thanks to watching football with her coach husband, Mary just stepped aside letting the articles of clothing fly over or into the ropes.

The referee called for the bell as Mary rushed without a single word. She looked to grab Hana around the waist and lift her into a Belly-to-Belly Suplex!
