Tholraath is a man of few words, preferring to let his in-ring deeds do the talking. And his in-ring deeds paint the picture of a sadistic, battle-loving savage. His sadism has its limits, however: Once that bell rings to end the match, that's it.

When he's away from the job, James is a reserved, but good, hardworking man. Far more intelligent than the character he plays would suggest. A loving, devoted husband and father. And an open (Atheistic) Satanist, though he avoids trying to impose his beliefs on others, as was done to him in his formative years.
Backstory:
Spoiler
James McCallister was born into a simple country living in Hoover, Alabama, under the roof of parents who were running a farm that had been owned by his father's family for generations. It was a strict upbringing, a household held together with an iron grip that would be wound too tight for him and his siblings to bear remaining around their father in particular when they came of age.

Liberty wanted to be a professional wrestler, but a woman's place was in the home, doing all of the classical wifely duties and nothing more.

Bert wanted to go and live in the city. Become a doctor. But why do that when he could use that research to help on the farm in the case of accidents and illness? Plus, there were animals around that needed tending to as well.

And James just wanted to get away. He'd been having the most problems with their father, being a skeptic who liked to ask too many questions too often for his liking. Things would get especially violent following his questions on religion, which the patriarch who fell far on the right side of the horseshoe would not tolerate.

James would follow Liberty into wrestling, joining a full-contact promotion. Differences would arise between the two that would lead to them operating separately: Both were Heavyweight competitors, but at 6'8 and 280 pounds, he was able to coast by using his size alone, while Liberty had to train in order to make steady progress. And she wasn't appreciative of the controversy he stirred up with his choice of gimmick: That of a big, scary Devil worshipper...During the Satanic Panic era.

It was something he came up with just to disturb the masses and alleviate some of his frustrations with Christianity, but his sister would be hit by some of the blowback. Something he had never intended to happen. He would resolve to leave the first chance he got: Whether that be when he got enough money gathered up to be able to get a solid place and live comfortably for long enough to be able to figure something else out, or when he got an offer from someplace else.

It would be the latter case: A cross-promotional event would bring him to the UK, in which a new promotion had opened up: United Full-Contact Wrestling, which would be the first in the country to host unscripted intergender matches to accompany the Men's and Women's divisions. They were looking for more talent to fill their roster, so James would sign up the moment his commitment was finished.

His Satanist gimmick would immediate make him an outcast in the locker room, but his size would keep all but a foolish few from bringing trouble his way. And some time later, a woman would come along and take the attention off of him with a character that was even more out there than his: Saoirse MacLoughlin, known to him first as Sinthia Lovelace. Where James was mostly quiet with his presentation (outside of a rather
), Sinthia was loud and showy. And she would become even more so after attending a few of those sexfighting gatherings that he was never invited to, expanding on her character with something called the "Pain Gospel", of which she named herself its bishop. The Pain Gospel would be Sinthia's twisted way of doing good by her fellow wrestlers, taking them to a height of pleasure that only they can reach (and the audience would never witness in full, as UFCW was a vanilla wrestling company) because of the punishment involved. All done in service to an entity called Karna, who would possess her from time to time.

Saoirse intrigued him like no one else in the locker room did. James was one who normally kept to himself, never saying much even when he was given time on the microphone. But here, he simply had to make an approach. The two would hit it off, beginning with a bond over their exploration of the reality of (Atheistic) Satanism's philosophy, rather than the craziness they put on to freak people out. And then their friendship would see the introduction of "benefits", and then they would date, and the two would find themselves in love, letting each other inside completely.

James would even assist on occasion with Sinthia's sessions: She'd taken on a side gig as a dominatrix, engaging in violent play with hypocrites who avoided her in public. But she had fun with it, and because of that, so would he.

James would undergo some character evolution of his own following a knee injury. As he was in the final stages of recovery, Saoirse would bounce an idea off of him the led to brainstorming, which led to the creation of a brand new gimmick: That of Tholraath, The Beast.

The story there would be that Karna had taken James McCallister and reshaped him into a being above and beyond his old self (an explanation that played around with his having put on another twenty pounds, still of pure muscle, during his absence). Took his soul and allowed a king who ruled a section of Hell to use his body as a vessel. All-in-all, there wouldn't be much of a change on his end, aside from a new look, some new music, and a more savage fighting style. He still didn't trust himself to carry a promo, but Sinthia and Karna would do a good job selling him to the people.

And together, they would rule the Intergender Tag Team division as its champions. A reign that would come to an end when Saoirse learned that she was pregnant.

It was an unexpected happening, but they both felt ready to start a new chapter in their lives. James would take her as his wife, and the newlyweds would happily welcome little Caitlin Rosemary McCallister into the world. Saoirse would take a step back from wrestling to focus on her care while James brought home the bacon, of which there would be plenty after he took the Men's belt from a distracted Oscar who was dealing with the beginnings of a very messy child custody battle. There was no mercy shown. No time given to get his affairs in order. And indeed, that was the key word: The man had had an affair with the very woman who would be responsible for the forced retirement of his fiancé. In James's eyes, Oscar didn't deserve any.

After some time as champion, James too would walk away from professional wrestling. The constant grind had kept him away from his family far too much for his liking. The three would relocate to an out of the way castle in Mountain Brook, Alabama, as James had missed life outside of big cities (which he had never fully acclimated to), and Saoirse liked the idea of the peace and quiet that the location he had in mind would provide.

It would be a prime one, indeed: Plenty of room for Caitlin to run around and play in, and plenty of work for the two to do to keep in shape and maintain a steady income that came in the form of a new farm (although both would make periodic one-time appearance at wrestling shows every now and then). James would even get himself a horse (his preferred mode of transportation), Saoirse a dog, and Caitlin a pony.

Caitlin would be very close to her parents during her childhood years, wanting to being around them always, even stepping in to help out on the farm, which helped her grow up strong. And even better, she had their love of professional wrestling, becoming a dedicated student of the art at the age of five and making her debut at their old stomping grounds ten years later.

And that would be where the trouble began.

Even as a teenager, Caitlin wouldn't be very rebellious. Didn't try sneaking any boys into her room, didn't try to sneak out in search of ill-advised adventure. Nothing of the sort. But with the last name McCallister, it didn't take long at all for people to realize who her parents were. Something she didn't mind until it started costing her friends and prospective boyfriends (which James and Saoirse would float around to ensure had only come about the right way -- sexfighting had become more popular over the years, although the gatherings that still existed barred minors from entry, they wanted to be absolutely certain that nothing untoward was going on).

Their daughter's interactions with them would become steadily more distant over the next three years, causing the two to fear that the days of chasing after her to save her from that reckless teen abandon were near. And the day she turned eighteen, it would appear as though they were right when she followed through with her plan to sign up with LAW.

The thought of her running into one or more of the plentiful psychos on its massive roster was more than enough to bring them out of retirement.
Preferred Matches: Standard, Hardcore

The last word that anyone could ever use to describe the way that Tholraath fights is "complex". The man is pure power, plain and simple, from beginning to end. It's normally dangerous to be a one trick pony in professional wrestling, but not so much when you're 6'8 and 330 pounds of muscle. He's slow, but he's built tough to a degree that Ford dreams of being, and he uses that to get in close. And when he gets in close? Pure devastation. No complicated maneuvers. Just throwing opponents into another dimension, and slamming, crushing, and smashing the unholy fuck out of them, oftentimes taking his sweet time to savor the process and drawing things out even when it's clear that he has his opponent beat.

That said, he doesn't apply his full strength in his matches, especially when he's striking the opponent. That massive body of his packs enough power to easily send someone skipping past the ER and straight into a spot in the morgue, and his goal is to simply dominate.

Tholraath is surprisingly adept where Hentai is concerned. While he won't be winning any "most erotic wrestler of the year" awards any time soon, he does know his way around the human body, both female and male. Despite what his standard modus operandi suggests, he's not lacking in technique in that regard. Years of mastering his body's strength has made him plenty capable of dialing it up and toning it down as needed, and he is an observant opponent who can use subtle cues to locate his foe's weaknesses, which he will then strike without mercy. Most likely with his hands; he's quite skilled with them, as his wife would attest.

That said, a Hentai contest with him will still be a physically harrowing experience in which he'll be just as rough as he is in a Standard bout. His opponent will just have another reason to be walking funny for weeks afterwards.
Attitude Towards Hentai Matches: (Tholraath says nothing, simply nodding with a dark smirk on his face.)
Signature and Finishing Moves
Signature Moves
Cyclone Toss

Has an alternate version.
Beast Fang Toss
Sledgehammer Slam
Unnamed Slam

Tholraath may go with more than one slam.
Pulverization Barrage

He may use two hands as needed, but is strong enough to generally use only one.
Hercules Toss

As strong as he is, he can't throw someone that far into the air, but he comes as close as a human being can.
Anti-Air

Think you're safe from reprisal because you took to the skies? Think again. Tholraath doesn't always grab the opponent by the ankle, but you get the gist.
Mastodon Charge

Has a running variant.
Steel Step Charge

Tholraath is known for weaponizing the steel steps in matches with no disqualification, using them to run his opponents down.
Adamantium Body Technique

He's already hard to shake, let alone knock down at his size, but when he plants his feet and assumes a dedicated "guard", he can easily endure attacks from from several opponents at once, and even some hits from weapons.
Splatter Headbutts

These aren't your average headbutts: He slams the opponent's head back into the mat as he delivers them.

Or their faces.
Skull Crusher Combination
Senton
The Prelude

Sets up the Diving Body Splash or a Welcome To Oblivion.
Reverse Powerbomb
Finishing Moves
Diving Body Splash

Is typically performed on downed opponents...

But he'll happily squash a standing opponent as well.
Welcome To Oblivion
Death Bringer

The wind-up is for the spectacle: He's still pulling his punches here.
Critical Finishing Moves
Uppercut From Hell

When Tholraath needs to knock someone out, this is what he goes with.
Straight To Hell

Tholraath usually tries to avoid inflicting serious injuries on his opponents, but piss him off and he'll put you through the ring head first.
Torment Reprisal

A last-ditch move that he busts out only against the strongest of opponents. At this point, you probably shouldn't try kicking out, lest he dislocate your legs too.
