Recruiting for a WFPW/LAW Joint Tour

Hello!

Once again, I would like to extend an offer on behalf of my good friend [mention]TheWanderer.[/mention] As you may know, he’s the brains behind World Frontier Pro Wrestling, a creative writing/fantasy booking project he has going to book and write out events for his own fictional promotion. You can check it out at his fanfiction.net and AO3, or read my LAW Magazine article for an in-universe summary. The promotion is open to using characters from LAW, and a number of users - myself included - have given the okay to have their characters be featured in WFPW. So far, this has been a success - and we’re pleased to announce that we’re taking it to the next level.

WFPW is kicking off with a series of supercards held at various venues in different countries, in keeping with the promotion’s theme of showcasing the best of wrestling from around the world. Following that, the next phase of the project will see a tour of co-promoted LAW/WFPW shows. These will be ten smaller shows (2-5 matches per show) taking place at various theme parks around the world. In addition to WFPW’s roster of talent, there will be plenty of names from LAW making an appearance - including my characters Misa Otomura and Allie Lee as ring announcers, and, more importantly, cards featuring LAW v. LAW, WFPW v. WFPW, and LAW v. WFPW matches alike. And that’s where you come in.

If you would like to be a part of this project, come to us with characters you might like to feature, and we’ll try to work you in. We already have several interested parties, but we’re looking to get two or three more people at the most on board.

Wanderer envisions these matches being “super-indie” in terms of stakes - the progression of storylines won’t be the main focus, so much as showcasing the abilities of the characters and what they can do. There may be some LAW titles defended, depending on the plans, but the status quo will largely remain the same, and the win-loss records of characters involved will not be affected by participation in this event.

Additionally, keep in mind, these matches will be written and booked by Wanderer (as with other WFPW shows), and it will be up to him to decide how they go and who wins. If you sign on board with this project, you’re essentially just giving him permission to use your characters for this tour. Think of it as an opportunity to show off your characters by having them participate in a new event, to a different audience, and a chance to get some exposure for them.
