Lauren vs. Yukino: Apex Qualifier

Match Type: Standard

Lauren had already qualified for Apex.... by losing her way in to the tournament. She wasn't having it, and she kept scrambling for another qualifier so she could go in with a win showing that she could handle it. It took a while, and her persistence paid off as she was in a 5th qualifier match now, against a young wrestler she was determined to defeat. She knew she could do it, even if she thought that before about her other qualifiers this was going to be different and Lauren was going to win!

Clad in her blue one piece swimsuit the big woman was announced and entered the arena. Most of the crowd cheered, some booed the flubbery oldschool wrestler as she stomped her way down to the ring. She pointed to the fans cheering loudest and smiled while flexing a bicep looking confident as she got to the ring steps. Lauren walked up the steps onto the apron, then climbed through the ropes before settling into her corner. She had already been fed up with Harmonia and Molly so facing off against more singers-turned-wrestlers seemed almost like therapy. She was not going to blow it this time....

Even when she'd gotten more experience under her belt, Yukino still couldn't help but feel a little nervous going into her matches. She was all too aware that any wrong move could end in disaster, disaster that she would be paying for the rest of her life. However, when it came to her next Apex qualifier, she felt a little more confident. Maybe it was that she finally had seen enough success to know she had it in her...or maybe it was just because she knew that her opponent wasn't the most highly-regarded when it came to LAW's roster. Still, if Yukino was destined for Apex, she was willing to apply herself for any challenge that came her way - and this was no exception!

"Okay, Nashi...wish me luck for this one, okay?" she said, doing some stretches in the locker room before she was called to the ring. As always, her best friend would be by her side, ready to cheer her on through her match - and when Yukino looked back at her, she smiled a little wider. With Nashi on her side, she knew she could do it!

Soon, it was time for Yukino to make her entrance. As the music began to play, she stepped out onto the ramp, her fist raised in the air as the lights shone down on her and the fans sent out a cheer. Her eyes settled on Lauren, and they narrowed into a determined glare as she strode toward the ring to slip in under the ropes. There, she rose to her feet, shaking herself out in preparation for what was to come.

Nashi was excited for her friends final qualifier! The pinklette knew despite what Yukino had gone through she believed she can achieve greatness no matter what. While she wasn’t competing herself, Nashi took the time in the lockers to stretch incase her opponent tried to attack Yukino when the match was over.

When Yukino asked if she was ready, Nashi turned to her best friend and said”HECK YA! And when this is over you’ll knock Kira on her butt ” she said proudly as an echo could be heard from the lockers. “Lets go partner!” she balled on hand into a fist and punched into her other palm before following Yukino to the ring.

She would come out with Yukino with cheers from the crowd. While yes they were a tag team she didn’t want to take Yukino’s spotlight away so she stand off to the side. Nashi would stand by Yukino on the way down and waved to the audience. Once they got there Nashi grabbed the bottom rope and pulled it up for Yukino to roll through easier.


Nashi stands outside the ring and said”show her what you’re made off Yukino!” she put her hands to her mouth to make it louder with a cheer from the audience!

Lauren watched the two immediately popular newcomers enter the ring. She knew she was a foreign wrestler, older, not of a typical build or traditional bikini body beauty so the fans backing her over them was never going to happen especially considering that they were singers. Still Lauren was here to wrestle and prove she was better in the ring than anyone wanted to give her and Peggy credit for.

Lauren stepped out to the center of the ring giving Yukino a nod as she shook her legs out. Once the bell rang Lauren circled Yukino before lunging in to try to wrap up the smaller wrestler in a grapple! Lauren was bigger and stronger yes, but her technical wrestling wasn't bad either. She hoped to jockey herself into an advantageous position from here....

Lauren was out to open this match with a strong start; as soon as the bell rang, she moved in to grab onto Yukino. And as soon as the white-haired girl felt the pressure of her grip coming down around her shoulders, she bit at her lip, trying to focus. She knew that Lauren easily outweighed her, so she was in a dangerous position if her opponent wanted to exert her strength against her. Yukino's best bet was to get out before it was too late - and, thinking quickly, she would make her move!

Striking from close quarters, Yukino would attempt to draw one arm back in order to gather momentum behind it. Then, she would swing a chop at Lauren's side from point-blank range! Hopefully, it would be enough to stun her, or at least slow down her onslaught!

Lauren took the hard chop and stumbled back a step, surprised that Yukino was striking quickly and with that force! Lauren couldn't let herself turn into a punching bag so she stepped back up to Yukino trying to swing her arm so she hit the smaller wrestler in the chest with a hard forearm smash in retaliation! Lauren was determined to win this and she was going to do it clean. No help, no anything. Sure the crowd was probably going to boo her for the most part anyway but she didn't care.

Yukino couldn't help but smile when she saw her blow land with a crack, forcing Lauren to take a step backward - and in the process making her release her grip on the white-haired girl. The blonde might have her beat in size, but Yukino was proving she was every bit capable of fighting back, and if she was seeing this much success in a match that seemed so weighed against her, she was confident she'd have a chance! But Yukino couldn't lose sight of the fact this match had just begun - and Lauren was going to come back swinging!

Soon enough, Lauren closed the distance - and swept a forearm at Yukino's chest that landed with a crack, sending her staggering backward! Yukino reeled back in an arc, crying out from the shock of the blow. While she stayed on her feet, she swayed and stumbled as she backed away, until she finally fell against the ropes, only staying up through how her arms hooked over the top. There she panted for breath, trying to get her head back in the game.

Lauren saw Yukino stumble back and she stomped after her giving chase and grabbing Yukino by the arm. Lauren stepped towards the opposite ropes to try to whip Yukino right at them! The big woman would lumber after her and look to close the gap hoping to catch Yukino as she bounced off the ropes with a big boot right to the chest or face whatever she could connect with. Lauren was out to build momentum with a win, and she was going to go at Yukino with everything she had.

Yukino's momentum had ground to a halt when she had run right into the ropes - but even then, Lauren wasn't going to give her a break. Before the white-haired girl so much as had a chance to catch her breath, she grabbed her by the arm, swinging her straight toward the other side of the ring! Yukino let out a gasp, her legs carrying her faster than she could keep track of. It seemed she had underestimated Lauren leading into this match - which was, perhaps, understandable given her record, but either way, she was paying for it now!

When she struck the ropes, Yukino only had a fleeting second to think about where she'd landed before the momentum sprang her right back from whence she came! She looked up to see herself careening toward Lauren, moving a mile a minute, and though she tried to get her arms up to protect herself, the heavyweight kicked up her leg, driving Yukino straight into the path of a big boot! She coughed and gasped, the impact knocking the air out of her as she dropped into a seated position, holding her chest and wincing. This was bad - if she didn't turn this around soon, she was in trouble!

Nashi was watching the match and cheering for Yukino to beat Lauren! What she wasn’t excepting was for Lauren to hit her friend with brutal blow after brutal blow. Lauren didn’t have the best record so Nashi assumed this would be a cake walk. Then she saw Yukino hit with a cruel big boot to the gut. Nashi rushed over to the closest side to Yukino”dont let her toss you like potato’s show this old girl why you belong her!” she said trying to cheer up her friend by backing up and starting a dance”give me a Y-U-K-I-N-O-R-U-L-E-S what’s that spell!? YUKINO RULES!” she shouted dancing like a cheer leader, before the spilts with the crowd joining cheering on Yukino!
