"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow, you're only a day away..."
Skylar Jones sang to herself, sitting in the corner of an abandoned, torn up house, whiskey bottle in hand. Evening sunlight shined through the cracked windows. About two feet in front of her, there was a camcorder.
"Time flies by, don't it? Tomorrow's the day I step into that ring and turn Lillian Byrne into a bloody stain on the canvas, and finally become the LAW Middleweight Champion." She took another swig of whiskey. To most, the night before a title match would be one of vigorous training and preparation, wanting to be in the best shape they could be in. If you asked Skylar, she was always in the best shape she could be in.
" Another swig.
"I dealt with a lotta bullies growing up. This one time in Elementary School I was eating lunch, and this girl next to me asked me why my shoes were so ugly. I had this pair of red sneakers, wore them most a' my childhood cause my mom didn't have the money for new ones. I tell her this, and she starts making fun of me, calling me hobo girl and said I smelled. This pissed me off so I took my corn dog and jammed it down her throat. She choked a little and spat it out and I just started beating the shit outta her until the boring ass teachers dragged me off." Another swig.
"Heh, I've always had a chip on my shoulder, even than. To be honest, I love beating people up. That thump sound when you punch someone, the sound of them screaming, ohhhhhhh, that beautiful crunch!" She laughed.
"Ahhhhhh, Lillian Byrne, even though you don't got anyone to spend it with, enjoy your Valentines Day, because tomorrow, you're gonna feel something you've never felt before and it ain't gonna be losing your virginity. You're gonna find out what it's like to really have the pressure put on, you're gonna find out how it feels to really be in danger." She goes for another swig of whiskey, only to realize she'd already drank it all. She tosses it, and it shatters into a million pieces against the wall, before looking directly at the camera with a smirk.
"See you tomorrow, Lillian. Don't let the bed bugs bite..."
