GASTER vs Rosie Soto

The kick connected...yet Rosie was still on her feet! Even if Clara disliked Rosie's character, she more than respected the red-clad lightweight's tenacity. It was very hard to keep her down...or in this case, even down her!

However, her glazed over eyes told the Shadow Lord all she needed about her current state of mind...or lack there of for the split second. This was a perfect opprotunity to go for her finisher!

She would snake behind Rosie, while trying to slip her arm around her head for an Inverse Facelock position. This was it!

"Shadow's End!", the Shadow Lord let out as she tried to lift her rival up into the air, to slam her head into the canvas below!

Rosie's face frowned with a blind rage. She staggered and swiped at the air, trying to find balance and hit her foe - trying to gain any sort of distance so that she could recover. GASTER's feelings concerning Soto's constitution were well-founded. For a lightweight, she was certainly stubborn, driven to a modest level of match endurance by nothing but her own selfish desires for victory!

Although GASTER had learned newfound respect for her foe's tenacity she didn't hesitate to capitalize on this opening! The masked lightweight closed the distance and slipped past Rosie's defenses to slip her arm around the Canadian girl's neck and catch her in an Inverted Facelock to set up her finisher! As if things couldn't get any worse, this crazed caricature of a woman found new ways to annoy Soto even now! In the heat of the moment, she actually called her attack like she were a shonen protagonist!

A loud thud echoed throughout the arena as the back of Rosie's head and neck met the canvas. With her eyes tensed shut, Rosie would hold the back of her head and writhe silently. She was too woozy to roll out of the ring or retreat. The only feeling in her heart and mind in her downed and weakened state was the overwhelming desire to see GASTER reduced to the flawed novice that she believed The Shadow Lord to be - to cut her down so that she'd never get in Soto's way ever again...

The move landed on the point, and as GASTER peaked at her rival's face, Rosie's eyes were shut, her mind completely shaken by the skull crushing move. Clara wondered at times, maybe she should've adopted a last violent move for her finisher...

Still, she couldn't deny that it worked like a charm. GASTER would quickly scoot over onto Rosie's chest, grabbing the red-clad lightweight's leg for further leverage. This was, by far, the most exausting match of her career as a wrestler. Rosie truly...truly wanted to beat her, but despite her resilience, despite her skills...despite her mind games Clara did not approve of in the slightest, the Shadow Lord managed to seemingly come out on top.

"ONE!", the referee counted.

If Rosie could process thoughts right now, she'd be overcome with genuine anger towards GASTER. Soto's mind would normally race with the logistics of the situation. Her sights ever-fixed on whatever it was she needed to do or say to win. Was she right about GASTER's presence in the lightweight 5 on 5 match? Or was this girl simply the wild, nutty whackjob that Rosie made her out to be?

"TWO....!"

Whatever the case may be, these thoughts would cloud Rosie's mind after the match. She'd have to rethink her strategy - her ascent up the pecking order at LAW. For, once again one of these obtuse 'lighties' proved to be a massive thorn in her side, and once again Rosie would be reminded that she'd have to remove them from the picture to get what she wants out of LAW and her wrestling career.

"THREE.....!" The referee called for the bell. Rosie stayed down. Her facial expression became a frown. She wasn't all there quite yet but the loud noise that was the sound bell and her back still being on the mats told Rosie all she needed to know. If and when GASTER got off her to celebrate, Rosie would roll away and out of the ring quietly, allowing the Shadow Lord to celebrate while the Conniving Canadian thought of every means possible to get back at Clara....

"THREE!"

DING DING DING!

Limply, Clara rolled off of Rosie as her creepy music played on the titantron. With the match over, she felt adrenaline leave her body rather quickly, leaving only the feeling of complete exaustion and sweat rolling off her skin on to the canvas.

The crowd was on their feet for the fast-paced showcase from 2 of the best ground based lightweights in LAW, and with her victory, GASTER showcased why she was a prospect to look out for in the future of the company...perhaps even the potential inaugural champion.

The masked girl needed help to her feet, and once the ref offered her an arm to help her up, she gave it to them in an instant, helping her up:

"Thank you...foolish mortal...mwahah...hah...", she told the referee as she held her arm high up in victory. Clara would notice that Rosie was already shuffling towards the backstage. While she disapproved of her tactics, she believed that maybe, at the very least, she could thank Rosie for the match...but it seemed that Rosie really wasn't feeling to see eye to eye with her on any level.

Regardless, GASTER would pose and laugh in her trademark style on the turnbuckles, until the replays from the match stopped playing, and she rolled out of the ring, disappearing into backstage...

Rosie was gone before GASTER could even rise. As a wrestler focused on proving herself by winning via any means necessary, her own insecurities and frustrations had gotten the better of her. Soto hated throwing her tantrums in public. Few wrestlers would hear her moans and groans in the far reaches of the locker room tonight. Having suffered a loss to GASTER's team of 'lighties' in the lightweight war, and now another one to her directly in a singles competition, it was obvious to her that something needed to be done to remove this so-called Shadow Lord from her division before she outshined Rosie further.

Rosie's tunnelvision was both a burden and a blessing, for the moment she overcame her wallowing, she went right back to plotting - plotting the downfall of GASTER and every girl that associated with her...
